I love poke. I prefer the real deal, but Poke Bros and Fresh Poke are better than no poke. Poke Bros is expensive. I always go with the salad version. It's half the size of the portion at Fresh Poke. More expensive than Fresh Poke, with only one protien, but it does taste great. I like the different choices of protiens. Tuna, Spicy Tuna, Salmon, Spicy Salmon, chicken, etc. If you like it hot get spicy salmon, jalapenos, and some sriacha. It was good and sinus cleansing. read more

Usually not a stickler about customer service, but thought I'd give everyone a heads up about their gift card policies. I was given a gift card for the Lexington location on Sunset Blvd. When we tried to use it, they said it was declined. The card has not been used yet so it definitely has money on it. They insisted over and over that we must have bought it from a different location. However, the person who gave me the gift card was with me today and 100% positive it was from Lexington location. Despite this, the staff continued to suggest we bought the card at 5 points or Irmo locations . So basically stole our gift card money, called us liars, refused to give any sort of discount or refund, and made us pay full price for the food. Other than that, tastes great! read more

I am a big fan of this chain! They are popping all over the area. The fish and toppings at this location are really fresh. This one also has tables which is a good idea on paper, but unfortunately the tables are kind of awkward. The chairs are stationary and don't have backs so for someone short, like me, its easier just to take it to go. Wish they would opt for practicality over style. Ate there this week and though I liked the food the salmon didn't seem fresh. I got a bow with half salmon and half tuna. I got the worst case of food poisoning that I have had. Fever, chills, teeth chattering and all the other wonderful symptoms that come with. It was the only thing I ate that day that was different from the rest of the family. Okay so I have to admit that this place is pretty amazing. They have a lot of different options and the food tastes fresh, whether it is or not I don't know but it tastes that way so I'm going to give it to him. The stuff was super friendly and very talkative and they knew exactly what they were serving and any questions I had they were there too help answer. Granted this place is a bit pricey, but you have to keep in mind that it is kind of sushi so you get what you pay for. If you're in the area I would definitely stop to check it out it should be worth it. I usually go with the marinated tuna and spicy tuna and I always order the toppings a little different. Glad to see this chain opening in the Columbia area. Fresh ingredients are combined to create a Hawaiian experience that tastes good and is good for you. I told the server that this was my first visit and she kindly and clearly explained all my options. I choose the Haole bowl. It is boiled shrimp mixed with avocado, seaweed, green onion, cucumber and masago on a bed of rice. They will also make it with a salad base. You can also create your own Poke Bowl. Oh my gosh! Where have you been all my life? There's different choices of bases depending on your preference but I'm partial to the sushi rice or white rice. The seaweed salad on top of that makes for a refreshing crunch with every bite. The avocado is nice and creamy and cut into big cubes. They're super generous with the portions! You can go with double portions of your proteins or split a single portion between two different proteins (I did salmon and spicy tuna but my husband did marinated tuna and spicy tuna). They'll help you pick which sauces go with your mix (you can pick more than one) but definitely get the OG sauce as once of your picks-it really brings out the flavor of the fish. The staff was friendly and helpful. The servings are more than enough. Everything is fresh and you really can't go wrong with any mix you pick. I'll be going there again and again. read more

She did not care if we were first time customers or if we were confused with the menu. We went to pay with a gift card and she denied us as she slammed down our sauces. Love this place! For someone who hasn't tried poke, I want you to know it is most easily described as sushi, but unwrapped and in a bowl. A burrito is to a burrito bowl, as sushi is to a poke bowl. You can get a LOT of really high quality food here. It can be a little expensive for a quick serve restaurant, but I've never left spending more than $14. Staff are friendly, and the restaurant is relaxing to be in and clean. Totally give it a try, as this is a cool new place in Lexington. read more
