Ethan was great. He explained the menu clearly and provided great service. Sushi was great and the prices were reasonable. Clean store with friendly staff. :)

It wasn't even half way full though the veggies fell out of the bowl when uncooked.

This is kind of cool except I don't think it's worth the price for the vegan/vegetarian option. While the bowls are small and overflowing with vegetables, it was a small soggy puddle once cooked down. I opted for the udon noodles which may have been where I went wrong because it took up the bulk of the bowl. Adding in miso, a mushroom powder or other seasonings would have made this a bit better. The tofu was marked as fish tofu so is it fish or tofu? I didn't ask because it should be clearly labeled. My server was great; attentive, helpful and pleasant. If you're vegetarian or vegan, do the all you can eat so that you're not hungry due to the lack of plant protein in a few hours.

Went here on a Saturday afternoon. We chose the yummy bowl and it was pretty good. There was nothing super special about it but tasted good. We also got the Korean chicken wings which didn't taste like authentic ones but regular fried chicken, it was still good. The veggie tempura was also good. Service was prompt and friendly. The place was clean. Not too pricey. I would go back

Service was quick, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming--especially thanks to the owner, who is absolutely adorable and always greets guests with a big smile. I ordered the unagi rice bowl, and it was amazing. The eel was cooked perfectly--tender with just the right amount of char--and the sauce had a great balance of sweet and savory. The steamed egg is one of my favorite sides. We also tried the crispy tofu appetizer and the popcorn chicken rice bowl. The tofu was super crispy and flavorful, though the popcorn chicken could use a touch more seasoning. To top it all off, I had a green tea with boba, and the boba was cooked perfectly as always--soft and chewy with just the right texture. Highly recommend JJ's for a cozy lunch with delicious food and friendly service!

You order first and then the food is brought to your table. I liked the causal concept. I ordered chili wontons and a salt and pepper porkchop. The chili wontons were delicious. The salt and pepper porkchop showed up to my table and I immediately thought wait this is not correct. I clarified with the staff member and she told me it was indeed a salt and pepper porkchop. Well a salt and pepper is traditionally deep fried so I wasn't sure what I was looking at. I accepted it and although it was not what I was expecting, it was an incredible meal. I thought they gave too much white rice but the overall presentation was beautiful. The minced pork over the rice and the steamed egg were perfect accompaniments. I ordered a milk tea to go and it was only okay. The boba was cooked too long as they were very soft. Softer than they should be. Otherwise, this was a solid choice to dine in the area.

I live in Columbus and haven't had the options like CO has. We shared a green papaya salad, and it was delicious! I would eat an entire bowl by myself. Don't forget to tear up the basil - it completes the flavor! We got the Lotus, Lemon, Firecracker, Sesame and Pork Belly sushi rolls. That is the order I would rank the rolls in flavor. It is a shame if anyone uses shoyu (sou sauce) or even wasabi when eating these rolls. The lotus has a rice paper wrap (for those who don't like seaweed) and an aioli on top that was so refreshing and flavorful. The lemon was honestly a very close second - maybe even a tie for first. I don't normally like salmon but it was so fresh and the lemon slice was refreshing and clean!

My son and I were greeted by our server soon upon arriving to our table. We came to dinner around 8pm on a Monday night, so the dining room wasn't very busy. Our server was polite and took our order at our pace with no issues. We like to stagger our orders when we go out to eat. That way, we're enjoying every plate we share that comes out without a rush. We ordered the Salmon Carpaccio to start, but then their Yellowtail Jalapeño came out to our table instead. It was disappointing to see, but then our server came out shortly and apologized. She also made sure to make our appetizer "on the house" for our troubles. This is a gesture I appreciate coming from one service industry gal to another; very professional and hard to find these days. Once the Salmon Carpaccio came out, we were very pleased with it and loved the notes of lemon zest and oil on the salmon sashimi. Next, we were eager to try something new so we asked about the "pressed sushi," on the menu and went with the salmon avocado sushi stack. To be honest, it was okay. It was literally salmon, rice and avocado pressed together and cut into little rectangular pieces. I'll give it to our server though because did tell us that's exactly what it was. Then we ordered the pan fried gyoza dumplings and the Cambodian Roll. The dumplings were disappointing. The flavor was just okay and it felt overpriced. I just know I could get those same dumplings elsewhere for cheaper, or that I would have better luck buying frozen gyoza dumplings and making them myself at home. However, the Cambodian roll was absolutely delicious! Bravo to whoever invented it! All of those flavors, textures and temperatures came together beautifully. It was unique and very satisfying. Lastly, we finished with an ube cheesecake for dessert and it was a perfectly balanced ending to our meal.
