    BYO Poke Bowl

We tried this via third party delivery for the first time and I'm so sad it took us so long! We typically order poke from another spot, but a good friend told us she prefers this so we gave it a shot. Everything was fresh, generous portions and really tasty! I especially loved the spicy tuna they offer. I asked for a special request on the order notes and they were kind enough to do that. This place is a gem - we will definitely be back!

We were looking for lunch options and found Poke Burrito. It's a shame we didn't find it sooner, but we'll definitely be back! We both got poke bowls, and they were delicious! So many options to choose from, not only delicious, fresh and filling but affordable too! The portion was large and l left stuffed! I highly recommend if you like sushi/ poke bowls. I will definitely be back!

I should have written a review sooner since there was a stretch recently when I was ordering from Poke Burrito 3-4 days a week when Uber Eats was running a BOGO offer. That was a great deal while it lasted. The fish and ingredients are all fresh. I knocked one star since in comparison to Poke Poke, Portion sizes are a little small and they have limited toppings in comparison. Base options are only limited to white rice, brown rice, and greens. I would call this a no frill poke spot with fresh ingredients and readable prices.

A quick fast casual sushi burrito place with quick service and some pretty good tasting ingredients. I left here still feeling a bit hungry and wanting a bit more, but overall if you're in the South Loop area and need a quick bite and am craving some poke--this place will be good for its speediness for a decent deal.

A story about brown rice. My friend and I were very hungry after spending 2.5 hours riding bikes around the city. We agreed that we both wanted a healthy, nutritious meal. Poke was perfect option. We searched for places on the map and came across Poke Burrito. It looked good on the picture, so we decided to order from them. I put veggies on my plate and my friend chose brown rice. When we picked up the food, we walked to the park and enjoyed it sitting on the grass. Everything was delicious, hearty, and fresh, but... the rice was supposed to be BROWN.

Very fresh and flavorful. I had my bowl delivered and it was to my liking and I'm sure it will be to yours as well. I can't wait to try the burrito!

I ordered delivery from Uber Eats. I really wanted a poke bowl that had avocado as well. I was so excited when I ordered it. However, be aware that they do not follow instructions on Uber Eats. It said it had shoyu honey wasabi poke sauce. I don't know what that is, but I know I'm VERY picky about sauces. I HATE basically every white sauce. So I specifically asked for no sauce. It was all in and weaved throughout the entire bowl. $24.10 for a bowl I couldn't eat...

It takes a lot for me to write a review but WOW! I love Poke, have had it all over the country and this place was a 10/10! So many choices, so fast, so fresh! Amazing quality ingredients. I will be back every time I'm in Chicago! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Came here because I wanted to try a poke burrito for the first time. It was honestly rather expensive and not that worth. IMO the poke burrito is a cool concept, but practically, it's not very convenient to eat, as it falls apart easily, and you don't get an even distribution of the ingredients like you do with a poke bowl or sushi roll. While the first couple of bites were delicious, diminishing marginal utility quickly hit and I was struggling to choke down the last couple of bites.

I found this place during a random lunch search and it's been my go-to place ever since! In fact, I had major cravings and I've eaten here about 6x in the past few weeks. Details: Poke Burrito has a DIY menu as well as standard pre-made bowls and "sushiritos" (which is essentially a giant sushi). I've had both and I definitely recommend the sushirito over the bowl since the bowl tends to be overpacked. In fact, I had to dump the bowl onto a plate since it was so dense and hard to mix. The DIY yourself is more fun (you can pick exactly what you like) but note that the sushirito can only be done in white rice. Ingredients: Poke Burrito has super fresh ingredients and a litany of fun choices. They have everything from onion to Japanese pickles to classic staples like edamame and seaweed salad. The awesome man who works during lunch will roll everything up into a giant roll and hands it to you on an unique plastic plate. It's completely customizable and delicious. Service: Service is fast and they pack your sushirito to-go in a bag with chopsticks, soy sauce packets and a fresh menu for easy ordering next time. Make sure to ask for the frequent punch card. 9 sushiritos= 1 free sushirito! Poke Burrito is the yummiest place for lunch in the South Loop and I'll definitely be back soon!

Jimmy's creation- delicious although it did not hold up its shape

It's like a giant uncut sushi roll so you know it's good. We came in around noon and was surprised to see there was only one other person there. I was instantly worried about the quality of the fish but found everything to be really good. I ordered the Jimmy's Creation which has a salmon and tuna along with a bunch of other tasty goodies. My friend order something very similar but I was surprised to see that mine was a lot larger than hers. The bottom portion of mine completely unraveled as there were no seaweed to cover it. It got kind of messy but because I read someone else's review, I was ready with my fork. I would absolutely come back here. While the price is a bit steep, I feel like the amount of food, at least what I got, justifies the cost. Just don't expect to completely hold up like an actual burrito.

I don't say this lightly, but this is the best poke place I have ever been to! The fish and toppings were very fresh and delicious! I have never been WOW'd by a poke bowl before, but this place has done it! The portions were good, and I felt very satisfied and full after my meal. Poke burrito is currently pick-up only, where you place your order online and you will grab your meal at the door. Pick up was pretty quick and it was also very convenient! This was also a great way to take precautions for COVID-19. Highly recommend this place if you're in the area! I can't wait to come back!

Let me tell you, though, whatever we came it was quite busy with graduations and family dinners-which I didn't mind at all! What ate a relatively large meal as I had eaten a smaller lunch. We started off with the wedge salad and a yellowtail sushi roll. The wedge salad was pretty average, but the dressing was really delicious. The yellowtail was also pretty good and the jalapeño topping gave an extra kick last minute. For the entrées, we ordered the scallops as well as the pan seared Chilean Seabass. The scallops are buttery, rich, and had a perfect crispy crust. The Seabass was flaky and light-overall a very good combination of flavors. We got a side of the broccolini and then the crème brûlée and a piece of Keylime pie to go. Overall a very filling and delicious meal-I was pleasantly surprised with the scallops and how light the sea bass was.

As soon as my boyfriend and I entered, the host/coat check gentleman greeted us warmly. He was quick to seat us in a booth, and I joked that he knew women love their booths. Host was very kind and helpful! Then, Brad was quick to set up our tables for our meal. He offered us drinks. Brad was efficient and polite. Ceara, our server, then introduced herself and gave us a quick background for Joe's. She was articulate, informative, friendly, personable and also efficient. Joe's staff work quickly but with precious, all the while providing excellent service. There was not a moment our water glasses ran empty or we were left unattended. The food was amazing! Bread and butter for the table. The bread basket included a pretzel roll, garlic roll (my fave), some sort of dried fruit and nut biscotti and white roll. My boyfriend and I opted for the 3-entree lunch for only $43/person! This special runs from 11:30AM-3:30PM and includes a starter, an entree and dessert. You can't skip the dessert! The pies are delicious. Loved my key lime slice! I enjoyed oysters, which were so fresh and meaty, with horseradish and hot sauce. I then opted to pay an extra $15 for the steak and tail. Lobster cooked to perfection. Delicate and delicious with the garlic butter sauce. The steak was tasty with Joe's specialty seasoning, which you can actually but a tin of for about $14 (with tax). Our drinks were also made perfectly. My boyfriend enjoyed a Pinot Grigio, while I sipped on my Hemingway. Half-off drinks during happy hour--dangerously tempting and absolutely with the price! The cost of everything was more than reasonable. There is a 3.5% service fee, but I think that's more than reasonable given the times and the level of care provided. Be sure to tip the staff! Ambiance was classy, refined yet approachable. Staff dressed to the nines. The place was beautiful, perfect for families, couples and friends. If I lived in IL--or anywhere with a Joe's (FL, NV), I'd be visiting regularly. Special thank you to Ceara and Brad! You two are hardworking, exceptional and kind!

$400+ dinner for two, including drinks. Nothing special,…read morelike we hoped. Pretty much standard steakhouse fare ... maybe a little less tasty than some of the other top-ranked steakhouses I've been to. I'd put it on par with Smith & Wollensky or Capital Grille, which is to say better than average and overpriced. To start off, the wicked stepsister hosts, who look about 20 years old, at the front seem to take joy in making you wait, even if you have a reservation and laugh in your face when you ask to sit in a certain area. There is nothing cool about dealing with a 20 year old on a power trip when paying almost half a grand for dinner for two. The real hero of this establishment should be their lighting designer ... I would venture to say that the dimly-lit yet perfect feeling vibe of the restaurant is what sets it apart. If not for the design of the restaurant, it would be just another steakhouse. The waiters are as pretentious as the hostesses. You know you you walk into a Restoration Hardware store and someone making minimum wage gives you, 'mansion attitude'? That's everyone we encountered at Bacette's ... insufferable snobs. We started out with cocktails, which were well made. Nowhere were the prices but expect a cocktail to set you back $25. The steaks are around $80 - $120. We both had the bone-in filet mignon, which was $89 at the time of the review. I guess it's supposedly a rare cut of meat ... although when I asked our butcher about it being rare, he chuckled and said, 'whatever sells steaks, I guess'. The filet was good ... again, nothing amazing ... on par with a chain like Capital Grille. I ordered mine medium rare and it came medium and a bit under seasoned. Each steak comes with a side of Bearnaise sauce, which honestly was the best part of the meal. Rarely would I consider ruining a $89 steak by dipping it in sauce ... but it kind of needed the extra kick. We got asparagus and the truffle Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese was better than the steak, however, we were expecting the normal overflowing sides, which are usually too much for two people to finish. The Mac and cheese was pretty small and we felt like it was more like a single side ... especially given that the filet (minus the bone) was probably around 8 ounces. Asparagus was just your average asparagus. We had the chocolate pie and ice cream for dessert. The chocolate cake was almost like an entire slice of cake frosting with a scoop of dense whipped cream on top. Way too sweet and we barely ate half amongst the both of us. The ice cream was nothing special. We didn't realize you could not have a reservation and sit at the bar. Honestly, we were placed downstairs at a table ... and felt like we were sitting in a basement. It was not as nice as the upper restaurant and they refused to move us when we asked them if we could sit upstairs in the better part. She gleefully said it would be a two hour wait to change tables. If we knew we could have just snagged an empty bar seat upstairs, we'd have done that because it's better than the basement. Although, we saw some near arguments as people rushed in to get a bar stool in front of people who were waiting a long time. And, it's a little awkward to eat with vultures standing behind you waiting to jump into your seat, I'd imagine. So maybe make sure that you request to be seated upstairs and see if the mean girls hostess will accommodate the request. Overall, Chicago has so many good steakhouses, the fact that this one ranked so highly mystifies me. I've been to several better than this which were not even ranked. The atmosphere is cool ... everything else is average ... except for the attitudes which are below average.

This is unique because I've actually have not ever had broccoli or green beans with my seafood boil and I would definitely have it again in a heartbeat. I'm in love with the garlic noodles and fries besides the main seafoods. They have so many different deals and promotions, high quality, friendly service! The spot is pretty roomy and can accommodate a variety of different size groups. I also enjoy they provide gloves, a bib, and a sink outside of the bathroom to wash your hands. Hooray for my crazy messiness! Cant wait to go back! Parking can be a challenge but is available in an around the neighborhood.

I was sold after finding out its a Viet cajun seafood boil spot - plus it has really good reviews. I recommend making a reservation cause they can get busy. I like how they write your name on the reserved table - a nice touch. Also parking in the area is scarce so plan accordingly. They have a decent happy hour menu so we were able to take advantage of that! We shared the Lover's Cove for 2, then shared corn bread, garlic noodles, and the spicy cajun fries. The seafood combo only came with 1 lobster tail which is a bummer. We got the crab pad style (cajun) sauce. The sauce was fire. Compared to other seafood boils, this one wasn't as super garlicky. To end the meal, we built our own popsicles with unlimited toppings! Great way to end the meal. Flavors they had were matcha, ube, cookies n cream, birthday cake, blue raspberry, etc.
