In addition to my last review: I have been coming more frequently now and I came to the conclusion that there is one major drawback poke burrito has: long waiting. While other poke bowl places take your order in Chipotle- style, meaning you pick what you want and they directly place it in your bowl resulting in that your bowl is ready to be served within 1 minute, poke burrito takes more time. You first have to place you order in a conventional style and they will prepare it afterwards. And sometimes the preparation can take long, and if i say ling i mean 30min or more. Don't get me wrong they do serve quickly too, however you can't always count on that. Therefore i would not recommend it if you are looking for a take out. I only ordered once via calling prior to pickup. It did not work out well. My order got mixed up and i ended up having a totally different bowl. I am sure they would have given me a new one (because their customer service is excellent) if i only would have noticed earlier. My bad. To their credit they started adding some more fish in the bowls, so the value is better than when I gave it a 2 star review. Taste of the spicy tuna bowl is always good, it's just a value equation for me as they used to put very little fish in the bowl. Was excited they had build your own bowls and was trying it for the first time. I get home with two bowls and open them up only to find that 80% of the bowl was edamame. It was one of the sides and I did not ask for extra edamame. Didn't end up finishing the bowl because it was so disappointing. read more

Delicious food and huge portions for very decent prices! Each of their poke bowls consists of up to 3 proteins and as many veggies and sauces as you can fit in the bowl! The service is friendly too. I'm not as big a fan of the burritos, but that is just a personal taste preference. Both the burritos and bowls are high quality and will keep you fueled for hours. Went to the location on Lincoln. This location is only pick up and delivery. Annoyed as I planned on eating in. Tried ordering with the QR code in the dirty little lobby for pick up. Got to the end and had to create a profile to order. Nope. Gave up. Went to the poke place on Belmont and Halsted. Maybe let people know this isn't dine in. Lastly, clean up the little pick up area. It's Gross with too many signs littering the doors and windows. And since no one is accessible, anyone could walk up and grab one of the self serve pick up orders. Can't get over this place. Staff is amazing and the manager/owner is one of the nicest guys I've met. After only being here 3 times, he remembered my name. Today was also my girlfriend's birthday and he brought out the cutest little rice "Birthday cake", complete with candle, while playing happy birthday song in restaurant speakers. He thought it was a perfect mix of sweet and spicy. My bowl was very tasty and savory with a perfect amount of ginger spice in it. I can't say anything about the food, why? I made an order for delivery on their website, when I got The receipt it said my order is for pickup. I called the restaurant right away to let them know to change it to delivery. I called 7 times until someone answered the phone. A woman answered, I told her what happened and she said "oh no, we don't have anyone to delivery", so I asked so I can't get my food? And she hung up on me. I called again, same lady picked up. I said I payed you for my food, why did you hang up on me? Again, "oh no we don't have anyone for delivery". So I said ok, please give me back the money. She said "ok" and hung up on me. At this point even if they were the best Poke in Chicago which I doubt they are, I do not support rude, unprofessional, careless people. Finally!!! I've been waiting for a Poké place to open up in Oak Park. It's comparable to the downtown Poké places in quality AND price. The ingredients are really crisp and fresh. Did an order online and my order was not what I requested. Tried calling after and no one answered the phone an hour before close after multiple tries. Finally got in touch with someone today only to find out that, Jenny, the manager in Oak Park blames the website and Uber even though this was a pick up from myself, for the error. Then made the new guy tell me there was nothing he could do because she said so. You're a manager, get on the phone first of all and be one. Second, what ever happened to customer regulations? You manage the joint, you hired or employed Uber (who i didn't go thru) and then blame them because you can't maintain your location???? This restaurant is perfect for Lincoln square! A local, friendly, very welcoming hole in the wall. The staff was very friendly and explained the menu well. Food was made quickly and it not only tasted really good, but the presentation of it was very appetizing! This spot is perfect for lunch or dinner! Great for 1 person up to party of 4! Very clean! One of the greatest poke in the city. The place does not seem to look busy as most customers do carry out. A bowl of healthy and rich protein food for $12 - that's not bad at all. The restaurant is not big enough to fit large crowd of people but we always managed to find place. I love poke bowls and the ones at Poke Burrito are really good -- when they get my order correct, which is not frequently. I order almost every week and 80% of the time there is a problem. -- Delivery taking 2-3x the estimate (often 2+ hours) -- Order set out for pick up instead of delivery, only discovered once I called, got no apology and order finally arrived after nearly 3 hours (how many hours did that raw fish sit out??) -- Missing drink in delivery order, called to ask for credit to my card and no one returned my call (and obviously no credit was given) -- Sauces requested on the side put on food instead (which means my kids won't eat it, unfortunately) -- Sliced raw red onion used instead of the sweet onion ordered, which adds pungent flavor to the entire bowl that I can't eliminate even if I remove the onion (last two orders) These issues can't be corrected on a delivery order and they almost never answer their phone. (Maybe 1 of 20 times I have called) Today, I didn't get any sauce. None. I ordered 3 sauces. I am eating a plain poke bowl with an overwhelming red onion flavor for dinner and have just had it with them. I am frustrated every single time I order. I know times are tough, and restaurants are struggling, but this error rate and poor service is more than I can handle. I am officially quitting as their customer, and finding a new poke place. They get 2 stars from me because the poke bowls are good when delivered correctly! read more
