I had ordered different nigiri's from here to be disappointed with every nigiri that had a spot of wasabi ..

Im not sure if it's me or what but most sushi nigiri's I get they don't automatically come with wasabi .. wasabi is put on the side for those that want it ..

Late so i thought id get some pad thai. Spent extra to get chicken and shrimp. Not great. Noodle flavor is fair but both chicken and shrimp were overcooked. I'm only upset because I was choosing between this place and mcdonalds and should've gone with mcdonalds. The reviews on uber eats are misleading. I ordered delivery so I can't speak to service or ambiance.

Forget about the name of this place because you can get sushi for lunch and evenings. It's also not open particularly late, so that adds even more confusion to it. Late Night Thai & Sushi may not be accurate in sense of time, but it does have pretty good Asian cuisine though. Average prices for pretty good sized rolls, and there's a lot to choose from. They also have Thai but I haven't tried any yet. Came here for pickup at lunch. It still has a closed dining room. They let you in just enough to place your order, and then you can come back later or sit and wait. Basically sushi is the better menu. It's about $6 for a roll. Got a few of the vegetarian ones. The Avocado Roll was creamy and my favorite of these. Also there's the Oshinko Roll, which is made with a kind of radish. This was pickled, so it was salty and soft. Good place for both sushi and Thai cuisine. It's not like it's open way late but it's good for some late night drunk eats. The prices are pretty good on rolls and whatever.

I got all the things we ordered. But the salmon don meal came with a bunch of pickled veggies. The salmon was set on top of them so the taste bled through. The pad Thai was fine. The crab Rangoon and mini egg rolls would be something that I would like when you were tipsy, but it just didn't cut it. They are also super generous with the Mayo. We are going to pass on going to this place again.

This PLACE ROCKS YELP ELITE! I am not sure of why all of the previous ratings... OVERVIEW: I will say that I have ordered Pad Thai (Chicken) and also Sushi.... They are stellar... THE GOOD: The sushi rolls are generous and built by people who "know what they are doing" and hold together for each bite. I also think that they are open until MIDNIGHT-so as of NOW (MAY 2020) they WILL DELIVER before MIDNIGHT!!!! THE BAD: I like the Pad Thai (Chicken)-generous meat...but missing the bean sprouts and lime...BUMMER...also they cut the noodles up to make it "bigger aka more plentiful (being cheap possibly)." I still give you 4 stars...DUE TO THE SUSHI QUALITY AND LATE NIGHT DELIVERY... Make the changes...to the pad thai and I will order every MONTH-GREAT Pad Thai...

Ordered through GrubHub- they have their own workers deliver directly. When it was 20 minutes past the window, I called the restaurant. Was told they would call back- no call. When it came almost an hour later and both rolls were mushy/falling apart and the tuna was slimy. Halfway through eating my stomach started hurting and now I feel dizzy.

I've given this restaurant so many chances. Tonight was the last. I ordered delivery and it took well over 2 hours to arrive (after several calls.) and when it did arrive, instead of Panang noodles and a sushi roll like I ordered, I got strips of fried dough, a side of curry, an no roll. Never again.

I almost decided to save Miru for our next visit, but I'm glad I made time for breakfast here on our departure day. Located inside the St. Regis Chicago, the restaurant offers beautiful views. The service was excellent--attentive, friendly, and professional. I ordered the Tokyo Breakfast. The salmon was perfectly cooked and paired beautifully with rice, a soft-poached egg, and salmon roe. The miso soup was slightly salty on its own, but it worked surprisingly well when enjoyed with the rice toward the end of the meal. Overall, a memorable breakfast experience. I'd love to return and try the lunch or dinner menu on my next trip to Chicago.

It's all about the views!…read more Miru is one of the newer sushi restaurants relatively uncompetitive sushi scene in Chicago, and it hits the spots for those interested in classy ambience and jaw dropping views. The sushi is phenomenal, as were our drinks... but the other entrees are disappointing. The karaage and duck yakisoba in particular in quality could be from any corner restaurant in Chicago. The service lends itself more casual, and I noticed they were consistently quite slow to clear our table. I don't think people come here for the food as much as the views. Overlooking Streeterville from this angle and vantage was truly jaw dropping and for this reason I still strongly recommend Miru.

My only critique is the pacing. Since the chef already had the fish sliced and prepped, I expected a smoother flow, but the meal took about an hour and a half for 14 pieces of sushi. It felt a bit slow, especially for a lunch service. That said, if you're looking for a reasonably priced omakase with quality fish, this is a solid choice.

Both were great. Our bartenders were lovely and very friendly. Found out this is a Malort tasting room and we were able to sample some different Malorts (the cocoa one was good!). Then we were taken back to our table for dinner. Our server was super friendly as well. Started with the miso soup and crispy tuna bites which were probably my favorite dishes. The taki yoki fritters weren't bad either. We saw people getting omakase, so we ordered a yummy looking piece they were receiving. It was just okay (chutoro truffle). The nigiri was also okay. The tuna piece was the only I really loved. The fish quality wasn't as high as I was expecting. The sushi was decent. A little too much truffle in the spicy blue fin tuna and a little too vegetable forward in the hamachi serrano. All in all, the atmosphere and amazing service pushed this up to a 4 for me.

The restaurant houses both an omakase counter and an izakaya, but in completely separate spaces. The omakase side is an intimate, beautifully designed counter with around 10 seats. We were the only guests that evening, so the whole experience felt wonderfully private -- just us, Chef Shoji, and the fish. Chef Shoji opens the meal by presenting the actual fish you'll be eating, all flown in twice a week from Japan or Spain. It immediately signals what kind of meal you're in for. The 20 courses were well-paced and the quality was consistent throughout. Nigiri and sashimi were pristine, but the hot dishes were equally impressive, which surprised me. Both sides of the menu showed real craft and attention to detail. Service was fantastic -- warm, attentive, and never stuffy. At $210 per person, it's a special occasion meal, but one that genuinely delivers on the price. As someone who eats a lot of omakase back home in LA, I wasn't sure what to expect. I left genuinely impressed. Highly recommend if you're looking for a serious sushi experience in Chicago!!!
