So, I've had quite a few burritos in my time, and I have to say that Poke Burrito's are only very technically burritos. There's rice and protein, rolled up in a wrap, but the wrap is seaweed, the rice is sticky, and there's no spice or heat, or even warmth. Didn't work for me. On the other hand, I know nothing about poke, other than what I've had here, and their poke bowls are delicious. Flavorful, zesty, complex, fresh, just really nice, and you can get them however you like. In between, I know a little bit about ramen, and the ramen here is just OK. Has the salty umami goodness, lacks a little in the tastiness of the noodles, could really use better eggs. But it's clearly the best ramen for miles around and you can get it to go with a bowl of poke so it's ok by me. Likewise their sushi is decent for take out. Just rolls, no sashimi or nigiri, and it's fresh enough and tasty, but nothing to write home about. So everybody in the family can get something they want, and it's all pretty good or better, and ready quick. Poke Burrito is a standby for us, we're glad they're nearby. read more

First time finally making it during business hours, and the food did not dissapoint. I wasn't sure what to order, as I love Ramen, Sushi, but I saw Poke, and I wanted that... So I got the Hawaiian Poke Burrito, and my only regret, which is a personal thing, was that I didn't get the bowl. The burrito may work well for many, but I ended up opening the burrito and scraping what I wanted off the seaweed. I am not detracting points, as this is a personal preference, and the staff was super patient and helpful for me and my 2 boys, as we took forever. That said, my only complaint, and my reason for 3-stars vs 5-stars, the price is caa--raaazy. I spent over $70 for 1 adult and 2 kids lunch... That is F-in Insane.. We've eaten here twice and pleased both times. The food was surprisingly fresh and while generous in portion, the total price is always a bit shocking. We've enjoyed the Jimmy's Classic Bowl, created our own bowl, and the Chicken Lover Bowl. The Jimmy's was great as was the build-a-bowl. However, the chicken in the Chicken Lover tasted artificial and was the least satisfying. We also enjoyed some sushi and the Crazy Chili Roll was our favorite. We'll be back to try again. read more

So, this review is mad late. I did come here at the end of September as I was in the area and honestly, I was craving Chipotle. As a lifetime north-shore-ian, I was so used to this being the area of where my hungry tummy met my dearest Chipotle, come to find a completely new set of restaurants in this area. I mean....burrito plus poke?!? HELLOOOO...YES PLEASE. I knew I had to try this out! So off I went into this new, forbidden place for my tastebuds to explore. Immediately when I entered, the amount of natural light coming through the windows was something I couldn't ignore. It was bright, sunny and instantly made me happy. Thankfully, I went around lunch time so it wasn't packed. The menu was vast and it wasn't too busy which I was thankful for. I settled for a Jimmy's creation burrito wrapped in seaweed paper (ya girl loves her nori) and then a Thai Milk Tea with boba. The lovely cashier was kind enough to help me figure out what I wanted because a). the menu was large and b). I hadn't been there before so I had no idea what i was doing. **SHOUT OUT TO THE KIND CASHIER WHO HELPED A SISTER OUT** As I took a seat at one of the window seats, I paid a bit more attention to the cute interior decoration of this place. They had a little "photo op" rose colored wall with a neon light which blinked "Hello gorgeous". Yaass, I obviously loved that. Within minutes, I received my burrito and my Thai Milk tea with boba. The Jimmy's creation burrito had salmon, tuna, avocado, sweet onion, cucumber, edamame, seaweed salad, green onion, crunch onion, tobiko, pineapple, sesame seeds, mandarin orange and ginger with the house's special sauce. SIDE NOTE: I think my eyes just bogged out of my head writing every ingredient in this burrito but I digress. This thing was massive but tasted so good!! The nori it was wrapped in was crunchy and all the ingredients were delicious and fresh. I absolutely love fish (can ya telll...can ya? can ya?) and this burrio did not disappoint. All the flavors mixed well, the taste of the fish was fresh and the veggies were crunch and light. Lastly, the special sauce was bangin', it added just the right sweet yet savory kick to this burrito. Now...I wish I could say the same as the above when it came to the Thai Milk tea. When I took my first sip, it just fell flat. It wasn't sweet, it honestly tasted quite bland. And the boba, aww..my poor boba....it wasn't too chewy but it wasn't too hard either...it was that weird, middle spot where it was chewy but still hard. Maybe it's just a matter of preference but I wasn't feeling it. Overall, I would come back if I was in the area but the price is a tad bit steep for what you get (and this come from a lifelong north-shore-ian). I wouldn't mind paying it for the burrito but I think next time, I'd skip the Thai Milk tea. The customer service was pleasant and the interior of this place was cute but nothing aww-worthy. If you're in the area, I would say 'go check it out'. If not, you wouldn't be missing much. This place is good but nothing spectacular. read more

I can't think why I haven't stopped in here before. Unless it was the "burrito" that was causing me cognitive dissonance. I mean, I like poke, and I like bowls. You can dump it into a bowl or wrap it into a burrito. I had Jimmy's Creation Bowl: Salmon, tuna, avocado, cucumber, sweet onion, edamame, seaweed salad, green onion, crunch onion, tobiko, pineapple, sesame seed, mandarin orange, and ginger with house jimmy's special sauce. It's a bit much, isn't it? Imagine wrapping this in a burrito, it would be the size of a football. However, it was fresh, delicious and a very big bowl. I would order it with less onion and sauce. We also ordered a Salmon Obsession Bowl which was pretty similar to Jimmy's Obsession. They also offer ramen, sushi and some teas and bubble drinks. The space is small, with limited indoor and outdoor seating. Now that I get what they're about, I will stop in again to try another poke bowl. read more

Poke Burrito's bowls are about twice the size of Aloha Poke's , at the same price. And the Poke Burrito bowl is better.

The vibes are awesome. The boba is a must try. It's really good. Service is great too.

This is by far the highest quality poke I've ever had. It was my first time trying poke in a burrito format and boy was I blown away! The sauce, flavors, freshness - all divine! I got the spicy tuna burrito and rainbow roll. I highly recommend the burritos here. The roll was good but can easily be found in other sushi places whereas the burrito is special to this establishment. Service was quick and employees were kind. There is plenty of seating inside and it's fairly clean. My only complaint is that it smells too much like old fried food when you walk in but don't let that deter you from having one of the best poke burritos of your life. read more

I've been hoping a sushi burrito spot would open in the North Shore for at least a decade now after enjoying many during my frequent travel to SF. I finally got my wish! I stopped here famished after a long morning of tennis. I should have ordered ahead, but waited until I got there. Fortunately, the 20 min they said it would take to make my sushi burrito was more like 10 and I was enjoying it in no time. Their options looked pretty tasty, but being as picky as I am I decided to make my own. It was pretty tasty and fresh tasting and I've found myself over the last few weeks wanting to go back...and with my sushi loving children. The portion size was big! More than I needed for one meal, but not quite enough for two full meals. It's a tad on the pricey side- for the Spicy Tuna bowl and a can of Coke it was $19. My only complaint with the meal was the rice. It was pretty dried out and cold. It had clearly been pre-cooked and refrigerated, which was kind of a bummer. Overall, I'd go back! I was so excited to try Poke Burrito after hearing amazing things from my friends in the suburbs! I placed an order online and scheduled my order for pickup around 6pm. I arrived at 5:58 and my order wasn't ready so I waited inside. Not a big deal at all except the whole restaurant smelled of fried oil. It wasn't horrible but definitely wasn't somewhere I could sit inside and eat so glad I took to go. I asked for my sauce for my bowl on the side- but I wasn't satisfied with the size of the sauces. They were quite small for the size of the bowl. As for the price- I was happy that with the $15.95 price tag, I got to chose 3 proteins and avocado wasn't an additional charge, which it is at most other poke places. I was happy with my bowl! I thought the flavors were great and all the toppings were delicious. Overall: I enjoyed this place a lot! I will definitely go back and try something else. Pretty disappointed with their Hawaiian poké bowl. I've been to a lot of poké places- I'm not horribly picky about it. But I do know the sauce you add makes or breaks it. The honey wasabi sauce that came on top seemed promising and I expected a normal amount, as would anyone, but even with what seemed to be a fair portion the taste was overpowering. It made everything taste like wasabi and like there was no flavor in anything else in the dish. Also the avocado that was on top was really dark and seemed old... The ahi tuna was good and the rice was a good sticky consistency though. The pineapple chunks were also a good size. Their mango tea was filled almost completely with ice so I got maybe 3 long sips before I drank it all. Overall, not worth all the excitement I had for it. Would not return except maybe to get ONLY ahi tuna on rice. read more
