Extreme teriyaki grill is a great dive in a strip. I absolutely can understand the strong reviews. It seems like most of their business is carry out, but they do have dine in. You see everything made right before your eyes with an open kitchen. Counter service was friendly and they have a large menu. The price point is exceptional for the amount of food that you get. The dining room had around a half dozen tables and was clean. From what I could tell of the back house, it was also clean. The employees working the grill smiled and seemed to like their job. I have no issues with the food nor the price I had to pay. However, my issue is with the sanitation of the food handlers. I have observed the same issue twice. When food handles are on their phones and or coming from the rear to cook my order without washing their hands and putting on new gloves I have a serious issue with that. The first time it happened they used a sink a few feet from the grill to wash their hands and put on gloves. However, on yesterday I requested a refund because she did not ask him to wash his hands and put on gloves. The female manager became argumentative and defensive asking me if his bare hands were touching the contents on the grill. I was given a refund and told never to come back. Her objective was to make money. She was not at all concerned about cross contamination which could have resulted in me getting food poisoning. I am responsible for MY OWN health and safety when I dine out. I will honor her request and not return. The worst teriyaki place I've ever been. The beef is TOUGH that I could barely chew. Miso soup is so SALTY and veggies are BITTER. Also, the pot stickers stink and nasty. My food was up quickly, hot and ready off of the grill. Before they handed it to me, they asked if I wanted teriyaki sauce on my chicken (which I recommend).
