Always very fresh and fast. Our favorite poke place in the area. Service is fast and accurate.

    The City acai bowl $6.95

This review is for takeout during Covid-19. I was hungry for poké and saw that Poké City was open for takeout. I called ahead to ask if they were allowing patrons inside. They said I could come in if I felt comfortable enough to. They also let me know that their dining area was closed. Since they weren't busy, I decided to go inside. Plus, ordering poké can be challenging over the phone when you can't see the options. I placed three orders of the same poké bowl: half brown rice, half spring mix, spicy tuna, salmon, and tons of toppings for $8.95 each. I also ordered "The City" acai bowl. It came with acai berry, blueberry, strawberry, banana, and coconut water for $6.95. I topped mine with coconut flakes, chia seeds, cacao nibs, hemp hearts, etc. They don't charge extra for toppings! We devoured the poké bowls as soon as we reached home. The ingredients were fresh and very tasty. I devoured the acai bowl on the way home. I couldn't wait. It, too was fresh and tasty! I'm so glad Poké City is still open, and hope they are able to stay open for a long time!

This is the best poke I've had in awhile. I'm not 100% sure why other than I think the ingredients were fresher. This may be my new favorite to get a poke fix.

Small poke bowl- generous protein and toppings! They also sell boxed water here. Very cool.

Poke City- The first poke spot in Johns Creek! Finally! Poke bowls, sushi burritos, & acai bowls are all served here. I'm excited that a Poke spot opened up in Johns Creek! They just opened last week. Now I don't have to go across town to get my poke bowl & sushi burrito on. Poke City is located in the same plaza as LA Fitness, TJ Maxx, Chipotle, and First Watch. Poke City is next door to First Watch. I will definitely be coming here often especially after I workout at LA Fitness. Staff was friendly and helpful. Even when I was dining in one of the workers came by to make sure I had everything I needed. I love how the portions are huge here. I ordered the small and they allowed me to get one scoop of tuna and one scoop of salmon. Love that! Most places I end up having an internal battle of which protein to go with since I'm really craving two kinds. They are very generous with the protein, toppings, sauces, & seasonings. The toppings were all fresh too. Love the huge variety of options they have in toppings, seasonings, and sauces. Another thing I appreciate about Poke City is that they use eco-friendly bowls and utensils! Awesome! Win for the environment and a win for my satisfied belly! Check Poke City out before the line starts going out the door.

Great poke place! They do both poke bowls and sushi burritos in addition to acai bowls. Their meats and veggies are always fresh. I personally always get their salmon and tuna but they do have crab meat, shrimp, scallop, tofu and chicken also. They have a large variety of veggies, sauces and add-ons. I'm usually picky about the rice that poke places use for their bowls and sushi, and Poke City definitely has my stamp of approval!

This has been the second poke restaurant to pop up in North Fulton, and definitely not the last. Here's how it stacks up against Poke Fresh and the others. The layout of the restaurant is almost exactly like Poke Fresh. The restaurant is in a narrow space, with a few tables in the front, booths and high seats along the side. The ordering side flanks the left, sort of in a Chipotle-style, choose your rice, protein, veggies, then pay. Like most the other poke restaurants, they offer a small (2 scoops of protein), medium (3), and large (4) size. They also have a poke burrito option, basically a glorified sushi roll, which I advise against ordering. The scoops for the fish are a lot wider than the ice cream-sized scoops at Poke Fresh, which equates to more fish per serving. The variety of veggie options was a little disappointing, but they still have the basics like onions, edamame, fish eggs, and seaweed salad. Poke City beats Poke Fresh in the variety of sauces. They have the traditional sesame oil and ponzu type sauces, in addition to creamier dressings like spicy mayonnaise. The dry toppings were similar between the two restaurants, though Poke City offers millennial favorites like bee pollen and coconut shavings (which are probably suited for their acai bowls). Drink selection is pretty decent too: you can grab yourself a bottle of kombucha and other health drinks. Aside from poke bowls, poke city also offers acai bowls, which I have not tried yet. Head to head, I think Poke City beats Poke Fresh in terms of bang for the buck, but if you want more topping variety, I'd go for Poke Fresh.

    Medium: spicy tuna, tuna, salmon

In comparison, Poke City is pretty much like Poke Fresh in Alpharetta. The only difference that stood out to me, wasn't in their poke, but their miso soup. The soup here was bleh...mediocre in flavor at best. Plus, the container was barely half full of soup. I ordered the medium poke bowl with tuna, salmon, and spicy tuna. I simply do not understand why all these ingredients are just smooshed/mushed/mixed together, along with all the other veggies/toppings you pick out. How can you actually taste the salmon? How can you taste any of the protein ingredients when the spicy tuna is just smashed together with everything else? I can't say this qualm is just with this place...because I think the other poke places around metro Atlanta do this same thing... I just don't get it. Shouldn't the salmon, tuna, and spicy tuna be topped separately in the poke bowl, so you can actually enjoy the proteins that you picked? I only say this since I am from Hawaii and I'd like to see poke bowls actually succeed and take off here on the mainland...the way they are supposed to be made... but maybe I'm being too hopeful. I'll also echo what a few other reviews stated... The fish is kept at a cool temperature, as it should be....but then it's just thrown in with hot, steamy rice? No bueno. If I do go again, I'll have to ask for the rice separately, so it doesn't get the sushi fish all warm and questionable. I wish the sushi rice was room temperature. The sauce was pretty good! The spicy mayo was tasty, but I wasn't really able to taste the wasabi soy sauce, as it was overpowered.

It's a dream come true! I've been dying for someone to open a poke bar closer to my house, so I wouldn't have to drive to Sandy Springs. Recently one opened in Alpharetta, but this is even better!! And what's cool about this place is it combines my current two favorite obsessions, poke bowls and acai bowls! They also have poke burritos which not every poke bar has so I'm super excited to try that as well. Whhhhhaaaat? This is awesome! So if you have never been to a poke place, it's like going to Chipotle or Subway, where you order and make your way down the line adding whatever ingredients you want. There's lots to choose from, including the bowl size to the proteins to the toppings which are plentiful. Something new for the base is they offer kelp noodles, which is cool. Otherwise, choose spring mix, brown rice, or white rice. I chose brown. The proteins include tuna, spicy tuna, salmon, octopus, shrimp, scallop, tofu, and chicken. Then you can go crazy with toppings like cabbage, carrots, onions, cucumber, lettuce, raddish, seaweed salad, sprouts. Lots of possibilities. The sauces are fairly standard such as wasabi sauce, spicy mayo, sweet chili, sesame oil, and some others I can't remember. So fresh, so good, and so close! And they have such a cool selection of drinks like orange cream soda, black cherry cream soda, kombucha, ginger beer, and watermelon water. They even have a boxed water. So unique I love it! I'll back, maybe even later today for an acai bowl. I'm so excited to have this place here. And for the rest of the week they are offering a discount of 50% so it's the perfect time. Just go!

    Two protein Small Poke Bowl

When we started to go to this place it was amazing! The bowls were large and they put so much stuff in!! The food was fresh and just overall amazing. 5 star place for sure! We were so impressed and would go here at least once a week, sometimes 2-3 times. It has slowly gone down...they put less things in the bowl and aren't as detail oriented with everything like they were in the beginning. They run out of things and are not on top of refilling. Tonight, I ordered what I always order, the two protein bowl and they have apparently downsized that bowl to the kid sized bowl! Of course keeping the prize the same. It's just not worth the money anymore when there are so many other places to go to. Very disappointed to see a favorite place go down hill.

Great flavors. Had the 2 protein brown rice bowl with spicy tuna and tofu. That is always enough to fill me. I like the shoyu sauce and bit of teriyaki sauce. Clean food station, and interesting particle board laminated bench and artwork. I think the 2 protein bowl was around $9.50.

Poke bowl with pretty much everything in it

Great to see Hawaiian food popping up in Atlanta finally. The format is a bit like chipotle where you make a bowl or burrito. You choose a rice, protein, salad, and sauces. Where it gets interesting is in the sauces which add the Asian/Hawaiian flair. I opted to take one of the burrito options as a bowl. The Kuna bowl was basically a spin on an Ahi Tuna Poke. It was delicious. My wife went the DIY option and fully loaded her Bowl with chicken and most of the veges. One of the sauces they have is the Korean Gochujang which is a spicy paste. Something that has become a bit of an addiction in our home. This Poke is definitely worth a try.

Ask the Community - Poke City

Is all the fish gluten free or is it marinated?

I believe it's gluten free, aside from the spicy tuna and things that clearly state that they've been marinated

What are the gluten free options?

Salad bowl base and acai berry it's really good.

Am I able to ask for cooked cubes because I am a bit scared of the Idea for (raw) seafood. my sister is going back to college this week and we were thinking about eating here? please reply by sunday or monday. thank you for your time. ~Matthew

We have cooked protein options such as shrimp, octopus, and scallop which are boiled; chicken breasts which is baked and alcabore tuna which is seared on the outside.
