My ABSOLUTE FAVORITE poké bowl place here. I've tried a few places around and there were some top contenders, but Poké Bar blows it out of the water for me. I've ordered delivery from the location before and the food has always been extremely solid, but my first time here in person made the experience even more outstanding! The location was in a very convenient place and the inside is cozy. Service was super friendly and the staff was cheerful while making my bowl, and even chatted with their other customers as well! Poke Bar is the opposite of letting the fish sit out for hours it's so fresh and cut in house which makes a huge difference. I've been on a journey for looking for the best poke spot in the Alpharetta/Milton area that check off all boxes and this place does just that! the prices are reasonable and not over priced which I love and you get alot for what you pay for which I also think is worth it. Pole Bar Avalon is a staple lunch spot for me. Reliable, fast, and the folks are friendly. They've got a wide selection of ingredients and even some vegetarian options. Poke bar was a Yelp find bc it was right in front of my hotel. This was a great lunch spot! I was able to order online and my order was ready quicker than I could get to the bottom floor of the hotel! The food was excellent! The small bowl was more than enough for lunch and you can choose two proteins for a small bowl! The food was very fresh & they made takeout easy! They even included silverware which is a big deal with takeout! There was also a nice handwritten thank you note in the takeout bag. Price was right for Poke and the Avalon area. I absolutely LOVE this place for delivery. The portions are great. And the owner is so sweet. I've received a handwritten note in every delivery! Please support this business if you can because it's really great. When I receive my poke bowl, the rice is still warm and the fish is fresh and cold. I like to get the large bowl and there's protein options, base options, and a myriad of various toppings and additions. My favorite proteins are the salmon and spicy tuna. Spicy tuna here is actually spicy by the way! Some places, the spicy tuna and spicy mayo is really light on the spice. I love to get all the veggie toppings and switch up the sauces. I also do like to add additional soy sauce to it at home though. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a nice poke place available for delivery! Disappointing! I love poke, and I called here to find out if they had chicken or beef for my boyfriend. They did, so we decided to eat here, because he knows I love all things poke. The place looks new, and the food looked fresh. The outcome was less appealing. My boyfriend didn't like the chicken, because it was cold. There was no way to heat it either, believe me, we asked. I tasted the chicken, and I didn't think it was bad. But my poke wasn't very good. First of all, the fish was NOT fresh. I ate it, because I was really hungry, but the fish was not good. I just drowned it in spicy mayo. When we asked the guy there if he could heat the chicken and he wasn't able to, he felt really bad. He gave my boyfriend a free drink which was really nice, and honestly I feel bad not giving them a better review, because you could just see how badly he felt that my bf wasn't enjoying the meal. But for me, the actual quality and taste of the food is pretty important, so I can't see myself giving this place more than 3 stars, however I really liked this guy and the way he runs his business as far as customer service. He apologized a few times, and he really was sincere. I only wish the food had been better. The seaweed salad and cucumber salad were my favorite toppings/sides (not every poke place offers cucumber salad and it was excellent). When I came In I was greeted by the workers. They had a big order in front of me so I had to wait. While waiting I gather some photos. I got the half n half brown with spring mix, double Shrimp, pineapples, seaweed, crab meat, cucumbers with spicy mayo in the house chili real spicy and good the way I like it. This Poké was smaller than the normal ones I go too but it was atmosphere they do not offer you bags for Togo orders which was new to me but saving trees I don't mind. The food and service here is outstanding!!! From the moment I walked in, I got a warm welcome from the owner Rebecca. She is so sweet and has the best energy. This was my first time trying poke and she patiently walked me through every station and offered me samples to try along the way. She also offered me complimentary miso soup (delish and perfect for the cold weather!). We chatted and she told me the sweetest story - she's a teacher and used her savings to open Poké Bar to be a retirement fund for her parents (her mom prepares all the ingredients and was super sweet as well)! I LOVE that and am all for supporting small business owners, especially one as awesome as Rebecca! I'm officially a fan of Poke Bar! I'm new to the Poke scene. I've been to this location a few times with friends. My Friends absolutely love it. I'm still on the fence. On my first visit, I wasn't sure what Poke even was. I just kept seeing Poke restaurants popping up all over town and figured I have to check this out. In my opinion, if you love cold seafood salads, this is the place for you! It's basically a "build your own seafood salad or seafood rice bowl". Salmon, octopus, crab and shrimp are a few of the toppings. You can add some additional vegetable toppings as well as sauces. They offer several size bowls. For me, I'm not a fan of cold seafood, so i was bummed to find out that there's no way to heat the seafood. Hot seafood with rice and veggies sound great to me, but unfortunately it's served cold. On my second visit, my friend told me that the now offered hot proteins. I saw the sign advertising that. I believe it mentions beef, pork and chicken. I was psyched to give the hot chicken a try. I ordered a hot chicken rice bowl and was quickly told they don't have hot chicken. I pointed to the sign, he said well the chicken starts hot and then we chill it and it's offered cold. Bummer!!! Personally I think they should change the sign. I tried the hot beef over rice. I asked the employee to recommend a sauce. Honestly he spoke very quickly and I don't recall what I agreed too. I wish I would have requested no sauce. I liked the taste of the beef and rice but the sauce was over powering. I would recommend additional vegetable toppings. In addition, when customers ask for water they offer a water machine that has lukewarm water with added cucumbers or oranges. Next time I'll ask if a cup of plain ice water can be given. At about $10 for a small bowl of beef and rice, it's a little pricey in my opinion. My friends still dig this place, so I'm sure I'll be there again trying to find something hot and tasty. read more

I've been to this place several times in the past and I'm fairly satisfied with what they offer. If you haven't had a poke bowl yet. I highly suggest you get one if you are a sushi aficionado. Quick easy and healthy. Be careful of what you ask of them to add on. Not all of their marinades and dressings are health conscious. You first choose a base: can be brown or white rice (surprisingly they will NOT allow you to have both in the same bowl). Which is unusual. They offer diced salmon, Tuna, Scallops, spicy Tuna, and a few more. Then you need to tell them what additions you would like, for example, cucumbers, wakame, ginger, edamame, onions and more. Make sure you get chopsticks to keep it real and to pace yourself. It is very tasty. read more

When we entered the restaurant, we were greeted by staff at the counter and were instructed where to line up to start ordering. They made the ordering process very simple and addressed all questions before we had a chance to ask them. They seemed genuinely friendly and checked up on us while we were eating. The ingredients were fresh, and there was an assortment of various vegetables and other toppings that you can add, along with a choice of any amount of sauces from their menu. You have a choice of up to 2 bases (rice, spring mix, nacho chips, kale), up to 2, 3, or 4 proteins depending on the bowl size (salmon, tuna, spicy tuna, albacore, octopus, shrimp, scallop, tofu), up to 2 sides (seaweed salad, cucumber salad, imitation crab meat), and up to 3 toppings (masago, ginger, wasabi).
