    Ronin roll $18
    Rachel H.

3.75 stars, rounded up to 4 bc of the quality and taste of the fish. When you walk in, it's self service. This place is pretty busy for take out. We ordered 2 rolls, nigiri and a kids chicken teriyaki. The service is very fast which I appreciate when eating out with a toddler. The fish is fresh however it is very pricey for the amount of sushi you get. The kids chicken teriyaki is worth it though, tasted great and was a pretty big portion. We ordered the OMG roll ($16) and the Ronin roll ($18). The Ronin roll was good and love the marbled seaweed but a very small portion and it did not justify the price. The Omg roll was also decent but once again a small portion. I wish the rolls were bigger. We also ordered the two nigiri salmon pieces for $6 which was okay. Overall, I probably wouldn't be back since it's too expensive for what you get.

I've been here before. I am back again. This is one of my favorite sushi "fast food" place. They are reasonably priced and the best of all is that I like their quality. If I am craving for fast sushi and I dont want to sit doen to be wait on, I come here to this place! Its well hidden, but its actually in the same plaza as Super Target.

It is definitely hard to find a good express hibachi and this place here, *chef kiss* Definitely recommend! I been here a few times already and it's been good every time! I got the chicken teriyaki (which is pretty much chicken hibachi) it comes with rice or noodles (I got fried rice), veggies (sweet carrots, cabbage, shredded carrots, broccoli), and shrimp sauce/yum yum sauce. The flavor of the chicken is delicious. I also got the volcano roll, pretty standard of what a volcano roll is but it is good as well! The spring rolls/eggrolls come two to an order and that was okay, nothing to spectacular. I also got a side of plain noodles. The place itself is easy to find, a nice small restaurant. Service was good! No complaints over here! Keep up the amazing work y'all!

This is our 2nd time here and it's been delicious both times! Quick and friendly service. Food is tasty and boba is delicious as well! Even my picky 9 year old agrees!

Delicious food. Nice atmosphere. Terrific service. Great staff. We've been enjoying this restaurant for four years and look forward to continuing with friends and family for years to come.

I'm perplexed by the reviews here. I was expecting more. I will say that service was excellent and they did not get annoyed when I asked for a side of Sriracha and then another side of spicy mayo which by the way was not spicy. This restaurant is good for people who are on the go. There's no sit down sushi bar. You go to the register and order what you want and then they bring it to your table. The sushi is very reasonable, but after tasting it I could see why. I decided to try the Umami roll which contained whitefish, cooked salmon avocado and spicy mayo. The avocado and scallions were completely lost in the roll. The rice was okay but didn't taste like sushi rice. It was unmemorable. I also decided to try their tofu teriyaki. I was not expecting the enormous portion that came out but it was served with a side of rice and a bunch of vegetables. The tofu was pretty good. I couldn't finish the teriyaki, but I got enough of it to say it was just also okay. Nothing to rave about. They do serve boba tea which I would have liked to have tried but I was really full. I'm bummed because this place is pretty close to home but I'm not sure I'd come back.

A few of the sushi spots around my area happened to be closed on Sunday so my options were limited. Got on Yelp and this place popped up with some good reviews. So I had to check it out to see how good it really was. In terms of design Umami is very modern and elegant. It doesn't over do it too much though. The interior is bright and spacious. Lots of warm tones and hardwood as the choice for dining tables. In Umami, you walk up and order at the counter as if you were going to fast food restaurant. This is becoming a bit more common as I've seen lately. The menu is located on the TV screen that located above the menu. You have options for sushi rolls and nigiri. They offer entree dishes as well like teriyaki and hibachi style dishes too for those who don't want to eat strictly seafood. On top of all that they also offer some bubble tea options. The menu is a bit of hybrid to attract all sorts of crowds. Kind of felt a bit Americanized. The sushi itself isn't too bad actually quite flavorful. The portions are kind of small compared to the offerings other establishments. Depending how hungry you are this may or may not fill you up. Also aesthetically the rolls were not the best looking as well. In terms of the bubble tea, it was a bit too sweet. Average at best and you definitely tell it's not their specialty. Overall, it was a good experience. It's a great option for the area. Kind of out of the way for me though. The price is bit up there for the amount you get. The service is almost non existent after you get your food delivered to the table. The taste of the sushi itself was actually really good, still the look was not that impressive. In general it's good but not great. Compared to the competition it's about average. Still would recommend it though.

For the area, this restaurant is a gem. I liked that they zoned into an area where bunch of us drive through everyday for work, with nothing else like it surrounding it. Lets face it, the Suwanee-Alpharetta area on 141 is very limited. Either way, like always, decided to check it out! You know, the adventurous side of me usually gets me in trouble, but not here! Glad i went. Usually I've zoned into the Hibachi part, which is what they seem to be most popular part (You know, quick lunch, get in - get out) I have ordered the Teriyaki Chicken numerous times, as well as Beef, and they have always been consistent. Great flavor. By the way, something they offer that brings me back every time.... the sweet carrots that come with the platter. Boy are they delicious, works well with the saltiness of the teriyaki chicken, well played Umami! Finally, only thing that I'm still not convinced on is the Thai Tea. Needed a tad more flavor, or maybe my palate is used to the Gwinnett Bubble tea shops. I will try it one more time and see. But overall, I recommend this for lunch if you are in the area. Reasonable prices.

Aji Katsu in Suwanee, GA Japanese Tonkatsu & Ramen Spot…read more I am just not a big fan of the sweet flavor in Japanese cuisine. Aji Katsu does have some similar flavors in Japan. Shrimp Curry Udon - Classic Japanese curry: slightly sweet, super rich, and bold. Sauce coats every udon perfectly. Shrimp tempura a bit over-fried, slightly chewy, but tonkatsu-style breadcrumbs gave it a nice crunch. 8.5/10 Yakisoba - Generous portion for the price! Sauce has that tangy, fruity flavor I remember from Tokyo. Beef lightly seasoned. Personally, tangy noodles aren't my favorite, but Tokyo street-style lovers will enjoy. 8/10 Hibachi (Hambāgu) - Grilled Japanese hamburger steak, fried rice, sautéed veggies. Meat tender, veggies had a hint of truffle seasoning. Sweet teriyaki glaze not my favorite. 7/10 Bingsu - Red beans + condensed milk. Small size perfect for 2. Sweet, creamy, refreshing. 9/10

Initially, entering the store was a bit off. The hostess didn't speak to me for about two minutes; she'd made the assumption I was with another party getting a pick up order. But after that was resolved, I was seated quickly. The store layout was nice; big booths with tall sides for privacy. I'm not sure if I liked how all their chopsticks were in a container you pulled from the table but overall a small detail. I did really like getting ice cold water and the metal carafe they provided kept the ice out of the drink. I went for their Aji Ramen and got the $10 3 handroll add on. My choices were unagi, toro, and spicy tuna. Shockingly they didn't have any spicy tuna do I chose a salmon instead. The hand rolls came out first and a pair of scissors were also provided if I wanted to cut them myself. Here are my thoughts: Toro - surprisingly bland. There wasn't the feeling of rich fatness that I expect with it though to be fair I am comparing this to a far higher end omakase experience. Needless to say, I wouldn't chose this again. Salmon - surprisingly good. This ended up being my favorite of the three. The salmon was nice and fresh and the soy sauce and wasabi made for tasty savor bites. Unagi - also good. I'm a sucker for eel. Because of the ponzu sauce, there's no need for soy sauce. I made a mistake of dipping a piece that I cut from the handroll and it was way too salty. Eaten as is, it was just what I expected Aji Ramen - a solid bowl of ramen. I was very pleased with the full egg and also the chashu pork. I don't know if I recall the bean sprouts but at $14, this was kind of a steal in terms of bang for buck. Plenty of food even by itself. All in all, I liked Aji-Katsu. I don't think I'd travel for it but if I was in the area and in the mood I would stop in again.

That blend of passion, necessity, and pure showmanship is exactly what makes Kani House in Johns Creek rise above every competitor in a 20‑mile radius. We walked in expecting dinner. My family and I have been to this Kani house many times for special occasions (Birthdays, work…read morepromotions, meeting my sons girlfriend), and the food has always been good. However, things have drastically changed since our last visit. All of the meals have gone up exorbitantly. I get that the market for things has increased, but I have been there with a group of 7-8 people, and spent just over $200. This with Tip was almost $350. I also understand why places do mandatory tip on the size of party, but being forced to tip 20% on shitty service, well, that is just wrong. Our group of five people were sat with another group of 5 people at one of four Hibachi tables. We were the first seated at 6:30, and our server was Jadora. She took our drink order, food order, and soup/salad order, while the other 3 tables in the room were being seated. All 3 other tables were seated, and received their drinks, their soup/salad orders, and one table even started cooking their hibachi before our soup/salad arrived. I brought this up to the manager, and who our server was, and he said "He would take care of us." My wife & mother-in-law ordered Mojito's, and I don't know what they received, but they weren't Mojito's. My wife had them remade, and they still were not correct. Then when the cook was making our meals, 3 of us had Filet Mignon. Yet he only brought enough meat for 2, and had to be told that the 3rd person also had Filet. During this, Jadora came by and asked if anyone needed drink refills. Despite trying to get her attention twice, she never once looked at me and walked away. Upon getting the check, the manager came by and said "I took care of you." Apparently taking care of us was taking off less than 10%, and still charging us the 20% for the substandard service. Being forced to give a 20% tip for this kind of crappy service is not right, and to say "You're going to take care of us" and barely give us 1/2 off 1 persons meal is not good customer service. We will definitely be thinking twice before returning here for Hibachi again.
