We sat down, but given the way we were received, we ultimately decided it was better to leave. What made the experience even more uncomfortable was hearing staff chatter about us having walked in right before close and that they were already out of miso soup. Whether or not those comments were intended for us to hear, it certainly contributed to the feeling that our presence was an inconvenience. Unfortunately, this is not the first time we have experienced this type of treatment. I have even previously shared with your team that we often eat later in the evening and appreciate having a local place where we can stop in and have a meal close to home. We completely understand that arriving close to closing may not be ideal for a restaurant, but we were there before your 9pm last call and well within your posted business hours. We were not expecting special treatment. We simply expected to be greeted and made to feel welcome.
