High yield poke This cute little poke shop has fresh fish at a good price. The large runs about $19 with 4 scoops of protein. Their veggie selection is great. Ask for the sauce on the side so you can titrate. The bowl ended up being a pretty big portion - great value PSA: you can get a tea drink for $1 extra with a poke bowl

The poke here was so fresh and the restaurant was cute and clean! I wish they had some more flavored poke, but the spicy tuna and salmon were still good! I also appreciated that you can add an unlimited number of toppings and up to 3 sauces. Prices are fair and I would 100% come back!

Came here on a Tuesday night and the place was relaxed but never without customers. They have an interactive touchscreen for taking your order, which allows you to do your thinking in front of clearly labeled pictures on a screen instead of in front of a person waiting for you to make up your mind when ordering down the line. The seating area is self serve with cute padded chairs and wallpaper, which is honestly my favorite kind of casual but vibey dining setup. Food was fresh, delicious, and filling. We didn't realize it at the time, but they also have an extensive menu besides poke (don, curry, small apps, sushi burritos, and rolls), so I would come back to try those too!

Large Beef Don - $14.18 after tax

Came here with a few coworkers for lunch. We walked, but there is a public parking lot nearby and street parking is also available. You can either order via the kiosk or at the register. I ordered the large beef don ($14.18) after tax. It was fine - it's kinda hard to mess up beef over rice. I'll try the poke bowl next time (and will update my review accordingly). The price is right for Palo Alto. We dined-in and sat at the larger of the 2 wooden tables. Complimentary lemon water is self-serve.

Woahhh I was surprised and excited to see they opened a second location!! The line for ikea food court was way too line for no reason and I was getting hangry. The closest food spot was this and I was not disappointed. The menu is the same as their other location. Since they just recently opened, they had a special offer. I think it was spend $40, get a free California roll. I got my usual customized poke bowl and it was pretty good. The price for 2 scoops is definitely affordable compared to other poke shops. Will be back!!

Excellent customer service, super nice, and the food was on time, great portions and excellent quality of sushi! Inside was clean! Small spot but perfect for simple and delicious sushi rolls! They just opened not too long ago, and I am so happy they did, I love their California rolls! It's perfect and super fresh. I also tried their salmon cheese roll, and salmon lemon roll, all were delicious. Parking: parked by the street, it was convenient. Easy to order, will definitely be back!:)

Very good Poke bowls. We got the medium bowls! Lots of flavor. My husband and I both loved our bowls! The service was quick and efficient. The restaurant is on the small side, super cramped! Maybe better getting to go!

I'm glad I was finally able to try out Poke One -- glad that there's a new poke stop in Palo Alto. You order at the kiosk and then the staff will whip up your order. There are only a few small tables inside, so it might be better to order to go. I got the poke bowl with three scoops of protein. Tasty and sauce was not overpowering. One thing I didn't love was that the spicy tuna was somewhat pulverized. However, I liked the salmon which was chopped. Appreciated the freshness and range of topping options. I'm not sure if I love how they serve the poke in a flatter bowl, which makes it harder to mix ingredients that get pocketed on one edge, but not a big deal. Would recommend if you're craving poke.

The portions were well sized. The price wasn't too bad for fresh pokey and also very inexpensive for a iced tea addition to your meal.

Everything was delicious. The standouts were the corn kakiage, chicken meatball, and chawanmushi. It is very expensive for the serving size, but the food is excellent and the staff was extremely accommodating and attentive. The ambience is also really cute, feels like a great place for date night. We will definitely be back!

Their shop is small, and they staff only two waiters for the entire restaurant on a weekend afternoon. Those poor waiters were sprinting the entire time we were there. The food also took forever to make. Skewers had a 20-30-minute wait. The Sukiyaki hotpot entree took 40-50 minutes, and all they needed to do was slice the meat and arrange the veggies. We still had to cook the raw meat ourselves, mind you. I don't understand why it would take them 45 minutes to prep. Not being able to get a hold of the server to check on the status of our dish didn't help either, as they were busy zooming around because the restaurant was understaffed. Overall, there is a mismatch between the price they are charging and the overall experience we got. They either need to increase the portion or significantly increase the service to match the pricetag.

What I ordered: Stanford roll: it had a nice mix of spicy tuna, crab, avocado, hamachi, with the sauces tying everything together really well Nigiri combo: 9 pieces of chef's choice fish and a lot of them were fish belly cuts which are fattyyyyy and melt in your mouth Hamachi lover: surprisingly my 2nd favorite (I normally don't like hamachi that much). It has hamachi, avocado and then hamachi on top, each bite was a big mouthful piece, so yummy Super salmon roll: this was probably my most favorite, especially the torched salmon and tobiko on top. Salmon wrapped around spicy salmon and cucumber. Overall, everything tasted clean and well balanced, nice rice ratio. Nothing felt off, I had no complaints at all. I kinda regret not going in person, def wanna dine in next time.

Recommend the lunch bentos: great value, great portion. The chef special honeymoon is also worth a try. The prawn tempura seemed great value (5 for less than $10), but turned out the batter was quite thick :) but still not a bad grab. Service was fantastic. Private parking lot available (huge plus).

Highly recommend booking counter seating because you get to watch the chefs up close. One thing that sets Robin apart that I love is that you get to choose how much you want to spend. The lowest was $119 and I think they went up to $219(?) So if you aren't that hungry, you can stay in the $119 low end range. You will get a few less courses or you might miss a few things like a scallop dish. My friend and I asked for $150 which I think was about 15-16 courses. I was stuffed after so I'm glad I didn't go higher. They had some new combinations for the nigiri and some that I've tried before at the SF location. Everything is delicious and tastes fresh, but my faves are anything with uni, the lean tuna with Wagyu butter/sauce on top, salmon with truffle, and of course the famous Wagyu with foie gras snow! The foie gras makes you want to lick your plate. So rich and tasty. Food is 5/5, but service here is also a big 5/5. Everyone is so friendly. They offered to hang up our backpacks in their closet since we came from the office. Your water glass will never reach empty. My hot tea was complimentary which was a pleasant surprise when I got my check! The vibe is similar to SF, but I think their music is played at a lower volume. They usually play some good throwback 90's hip hop if I remember correctly. The bathroom is a vibe, plus they have a bidet. My friend and I celebrated late bdays, so they gave us a candle with our desserts and a complimentary drink. A sweet wine for my friend who had a glass of wine with her dinner and a NA shiso sparkling drink for me since they noticed I wasn't drinking. It's the small details that show how much thought is put into the great service here. Thank you for a great meal! Can't wait to come back!

The space is intimate, with only 8 counter seats, so you're served directly by chef Li. To my surprise, all of the seats were full on a Friday at lunch. I didn't want to drink too much at lunch, but they had a $29 sake flight of three 1.5 oz pours, which was just the right amount to pair with the sushi but still be able to go back to work after lunch! Pre sushi: 1. Pickled baby ginger: I love this stuff, and he was good about refilling it 2. Crab with Japanese citrus jelly and shiso: a generous amount of sweet, fresh crab 3. Ankimo: two pieces, served with wasabi 4. Signature octopus: massaged 1 hour and stewed 1 hour - very flavorful and tender 5. Steamed abalone: served over soba with abalone liver sauce 6. Seaweed shot 7. Chawanmushi with scallops and caviar Sushi: 1. Hokkaido scallop with yuzu and sea salt 2. Spanish mackerel 3. Akami: lean bluefin tuna 4. Kinmedai: golden eye snapper, torched 5. Isaki: 3 line grunt fish 6. Kelp cured black snapper, shiso leaf, yuzu 7. Chutoro 8. Saba: mackerel with kelp 9. Otoro: torched, topped with uni The scallop and kinmedai were the highlights for me. We also got one of the à la carte add ons: the hand chopped fatty tuna and uni hand roll. To finish: red miso soup At the end, you can watch the chef preparing the bento boxes, which was a good reminder for me to keep my eye out for the next available pickup. The fish was high quality, and the pieces were cut to the right size (I've been to way too many places with unappealingly large cuts). Each course was thoughtfully prepared, and pacing was consistent. For the quality and quantity of food, as well as the service and dining experience, this was a hot deal for $125 a person. We will definitely be coming back!
