High yield poke This cute little poke shop has fresh fish at a good price. The large runs about $19 with 4 scoops of protein. Their veggie selection is great. Ask for the sauce on the side so you can titrate. The bowl ended up being a pretty big portion - great value PSA: you can get a tea drink for $1 extra with a poke bowl

The poke here was so fresh and the restaurant was cute and clean! I wish they had some more flavored poke, but the spicy tuna and salmon were still good! I also appreciated that you can add an unlimited number of toppings and up to 3 sauces. Prices are fair and I would 100% come back!

    Wooow very delicious thank you

Came here on a Tuesday night and the place was relaxed but never without customers. They have an interactive touchscreen for taking your order, which allows you to do your thinking in front of clearly labeled pictures on a screen instead of in front of a person waiting for you to make up your mind when ordering down the line. The seating area is self serve with cute padded chairs and wallpaper, which is honestly my favorite kind of casual but vibey dining setup. Food was fresh, delicious, and filling. We didn't realize it at the time, but they also have an extensive menu besides poke (don, curry, small apps, sushi burritos, and rolls), so I would come back to try those too!

Came here with a few coworkers for lunch. We walked, but there is a public parking lot nearby and street parking is also available. You can either order via the kiosk or at the register. I ordered the large beef don ($14.18) after tax. It was fine - it's kinda hard to mess up beef over rice. I'll try the poke bowl next time (and will update my review accordingly). The price is right for Palo Alto. We dined-in and sat at the larger of the 2 wooden tables. Complimentary lemon water is self-serve.

Woahhh I was surprised and excited to see they opened a second location!! The line for ikea food court was way too line for no reason and I was getting hangry. The closest food spot was this and I was not disappointed. The menu is the same as their other location. Since they just recently opened, they had a special offer. I think it was spend $40, get a free California roll. I got my usual customized poke bowl and it was pretty good. The price for 2 scoops is definitely affordable compared to other poke shops. Will be back!!

Excellent customer service, super nice, and the food was on time, great portions and excellent quality of sushi! Inside was clean! Small spot but perfect for simple and delicious sushi rolls! They just opened not too long ago, and I am so happy they did, I love their California rolls! It's perfect and super fresh. I also tried their salmon cheese roll, and salmon lemon roll, all were delicious. Parking: parked by the street, it was convenient. Easy to order, will definitely be back!:)

Very good Poke bowls. We got the medium bowls! Lots of flavor. My husband and I both loved our bowls! The service was quick and efficient. The restaurant is on the small side, super cramped! Maybe better getting to go!

I'm glad I was finally able to try out Poke One -- glad that there's a new poke stop in Palo Alto. You order at the kiosk and then the staff will whip up your order. There are only a few small tables inside, so it might be better to order to go. I got the poke bowl with three scoops of protein. Tasty and sauce was not overpowering. One thing I didn't love was that the spicy tuna was somewhat pulverized. However, I liked the salmon which was chopped. Appreciated the freshness and range of topping options. I'm not sure if I love how they serve the poke in a flatter bowl, which makes it harder to mix ingredients that get pocketed on one edge, but not a big deal. Would recommend if you're craving poke.

Definitely perfect for a date night or even a cute girls night. The ambiance feels upscale without being stuffy and the whole experience felt very relaxed and thoughtful. One thing I really liked is that they let you customize your omakase experience by either choosing a price point (ranging around $119-$219) or selecting the number of courses you want. We opted for the $150 menu and ended up getting 15 courses, which felt like the perfect amount. And let me tell you... every single bite was spectacular. Don't ask me to remember the names of everything because I absolutely cannot haha but every course was fresh, beautifully presented, and genuinely delicious. You can tell they put a lot of care into balancing flavors and textures throughout the meal. Service was also excellent from start to finish , attentive, welcoming, and paced really well without ever feeling rushed. Parking is mainly street parking, but if you drive a little farther down there's also a garage with free parking for the first two hours, which made things easy. Overall, everything about the experience was wonderful and I would absolutely come back again.

I haven't had Omakase in a while and was excited to try out this spot. [[ Notes ]]: 1.) Give yourself time to get to the restaurant. It's so close to the Cal-Train Menlo Park station that we got delayed twice by the gates closing. 2.) Free 2-hour parking at the underground parking lot next to the restaurant. It is super well-lit and clean. One of the best garage parking lots I've been to in a while. 3.) It's a "pick your price" omakase ranging from $119 - $219. We opted for something close-ish to the middle and settled at $180 per person. This came with 18 small bites + 1 dessert. [[ Things I liked ]] 1.) Service - Absolutely amazing as the whole wait staff was very attentive. Every dish was described in detail, waters refilled all the time without asking, and constant checking in to make sure things are good. At one point we really liked the unique plates the food was being served on and the waiter immediately came over and told us who the artist was. Good attention to detail. 2.) Overall the fusion omakase was really good and I thought the 18 small bites + 1 dessert was a good mix. [[ Things I disliked ]] 1.) I think it would be nice if they actually had a large sign that has "Robin Menlo Park" so its easier to find. Instead they have a contemporary "robin" picture that is harder to find if you don't know what you are looking for. 2.) They play club/hip-hop music which is an interesting choice. I'm an older millennial so I didn't mind it much but I can see how it can be distracting since the volume is relatively loud. 3.) We arrived at 5pm and no one was there. As such, when we sat down, every single person was staring at us including the 6-7 chefs behind the counter. My wife thought it was so weird and was embarassed that so many people were staring at her the whole time. It got better as more guests arrived. 4.) Since there were so many dishes being served, I was hoping they could give me a set list at the end so I can remember what I ate but they don't do that which made me kind of sad. Next time I'll bring a pen and notebook so I can write it down. [[ Conclusion ]] Robin Menlo Park is quite a good restaurant. It can be pricey for the amount of food you get but we had a good time. I posted the small bites I loved the most as well as the full selection so you can take a glance. P.S. - the ending dessert was FRICKEN GOOD! Some coconut, macademia, frozen banana custard thing.

Because the menu doesn't offer many side options, I usually order the chicken, which has always been consistently good and is something I would definitely recommend. As for the ramen, I've given it a few tries. On a previous visit, I ordered the Black King with the highest spice level and oil level set to 1. Surprisingly, I didn't find it spicy at all, and it still felt too oily for my taste. This visit, I decided to try the vegetarian ramen instead. I enjoyed the basil aroma, and the cheese added a nice flavor to the broth. However, even with the oil level set to 1, I still found it much too oily. That said, I know my opinion may be influenced by the fact that I'm generally not a fan of Japanese ramen. While the flavors were enjoyable, the richness and oiliness just aren't for me. I also don't really understand the long wait times, though it's obvious that many people love this place.

The space is intimate, with only 8 counter seats, so you're served directly by chef Li. To my surprise, all of the seats were full on a Friday at lunch. I didn't want to drink too much at lunch, but they had a $29 sake flight of three 1.5 oz pours, which was just the right amount to pair with the sushi but still be able to go back to work after lunch! Pre sushi: 1. Pickled baby ginger: I love this stuff, and he was good about refilling it 2. Crab with Japanese citrus jelly and shiso: a generous amount of sweet, fresh crab 3. Isaki: 3 line grunt fish 6. Kelp cured black snapper, shiso leaf, yuzu 7. Chutoro 8. Saba: mackerel with kelp 9. Otoro: torched, topped with uni The scallop and kinmedai were the highlights for me. We also got one of the à la carte add ons: the hand chopped fatty tuna and uni hand roll. To finish: red miso soup At the end, you can watch the chef preparing the bento boxes, which was a good reminder for me to keep my eye out for the next available pickup. The fish was high quality, and the pieces were cut to the right size (I've been to way too many places with unappealingly large cuts). Each course was thoughtfully prepared, and pacing was consistent. For the quality and quantity of food, as well as the service and dining experience, this was a hot deal for $125 a person. We will definitely be coming back!
