There's a large ordering kiosk in the front of the store, and it's a breeze to order on there. Some of the sauces were not common and I had asked the staff member to tell me more; they were friendly and helpful. After I placed the order, the staff started making the bowl and it was ready in no time! The bowl was well-filled and it was yummy! Had 1 real crab California roll and 1 unagi avocado roll. The rice was flavorless. The crab had a lot of shell pieces and zero flavor. It was basically crab meat, avocado, and bland rice. The seating area is self serve with cute padded chairs and wallpaper, which is honestly my favorite kind of casual but vibey dining setup. Food was fresh, delicious, and filling. Woahhh I was surprised and excited to see they opened a second location!! The line for ikea food court was way too line for no reason and I was getting hangry. The closest food spot was this and I was not disappointed. The menu is the same as their other location. Since they just recently opened, they had a special offer. I think it was spend $40, get a free California roll. I got my usual customized poke bowl and it was pretty good. The price for 2 scoops is definitely affordable compared to other poke shops. I really wanted to love this place since it's one of handful of Japanese restaurants in Palo Alto, but I'll need to provide an honest review. The poke was above average and definitely had a few different combinations which were unique. There was plenty of variety for a poke place. I was surprised to see curry tonkatsu and udon on the menu. I gave both a try and found them underwhelming. The tonkatsu was fried to perfection, but the chicken lacked its fibrous nature, which I found a little odd. It almost felt like I was tasting manufactured meat. The curry was bland. The soup base for the udon was definitely on the oilier side, but the fish cake pairings were quite nice with the beef. The ambience was fun and hip. I liked that I could order at the kiosk myself. Seating is limited with two tables that can sit four at one and five in the other, but it was very clean! All in all, I think this is a place to go when you're in a hurry, starved or need a quick bite, but definitely can could use some revisions to the other offerings they have outside of poke. read more

There are only a few small tables inside, so it might be better to order to go. I got the poke bowl with three scoops of protein. Tasty and sauce was not overpowering. One thing I didn't love was that the spicy tuna was somewhat pulverized. However, I liked the salmon which was chopped. Appreciated the freshness and range of topping options. I'm not sure if I love how they serve the poke in a flatter bowl, which makes it harder to mix ingredients that get pocketed on one edge, but not a big deal. Pretty impressed with this place! I was really craving some sushi and when I was researching, this place popped up. I know it's poke place but they actually had a good variety of sushi options. I went for it and ordered the salmon cheese roll (Philly roll) and the green dragon roll. The price came to 18 dollars for both rolls which I thought was really reasonable. At other places in the area, you would end up paying that much for one roll. The salmon cheese roll was good but the green dragon was fantastic! It's a potato croquette veg roll with avocado on top. Excellent food - so fresh and flavorful! The location is off the beaten path, so you have to take a detour of University Ave and pass 7-11 to get to the restaurant. Ordering is through a touchscreen menu. Service was very, very welcoming and friendly. We had the medium poke bowl with salmon, tuna, and spicy tuna. It was a generous portion of food and all the ingredients were incredibly fresh. We also had the potato croquette curry. The croquettes were perfectly fried and piping hot and the curry was spiced just right (mild). The last dish that came out was the pork katsu udon noodle soup. The pork was well balanced - the meat was lean and coated with an airy light batter. The place is very clean and tastesfully decorated. There are only two tables inside, so seating could get dicey during rush hour. Bonus that they use compostable utensils, bowls and plates (except for the udon, which was served in a plastic bowl). read more
