Build your own poke bowl 4/5 - fish was decently fresh. They don't give a lot of fish though. I got the 3 scoops and it was very small scoops. They added too much furikake than I would have liked. A lot of the toppings were an extra charge so it can get very pricey.

I love go fish! Been going here for 10 years now :) I always go out of my way to go here. My fav poke spot. I love their imitation crab, spicy scallops, & sesame shrimp. It's always super fast service here and not too busy. This plaza is usually super packed but I love how they have a designated parking spot. Makes things so much easier to quickly pick up my order.

Located right between the bakery and the market, this poke spot ended up being a great find for a quick lunch. Walked in and was immediately greeted with friendly smiles and some great recommendations from the staff. The ordering process was easy and fast, and everything behind the glass looked super fresh. I went with rice as my base and chose five scoops of fish, including salmon and spicy tuna, and piled on the toppings. The aioli is always my go-to for sauce at any poke place and theirs had a nice balance without being too heavy. What really surprised me was the yam noodles my friend had in theirs. They had great texture, no weird tastes, and held up well with the mix. The place is very customizable so it's easy to make it your own. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's more of a take-out vibe but perfect if you're on the go.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The parking lot is a good size too which makes everything more convenient. I'll definitely swing by again when I'm in the area.

I had a chance to try Go Fish Poke Bar which is kind of like a chipotle but for fresh poke bowls! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is casual and service is good.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] For my bowl I got the spicy salmon poke with yam noodles with crab salad. I can say for sure that the fish here is really good and fresh and was well marinated. The yam noodles although a nice healthy options were not my favorite- I think I am definitely a rice girl! Would go back to try more bowls here!

We ordered online this time. I was surprised by how many base options this restaurant had! Usually, you'd expect rice or salad, but they also offered nachos and noodles, which was pretty interesting. I went with a half salad and rice base this time, but I'd love to try the other options next time. The prices were reasonable, and I liked that there were so many toppings to choose from!

Not my best picture but I got the Regular Poke Bowl with shrimp, scallops, and shoyu poke. Also got some additional toppings.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a small place with limited seating, but I love coming here.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I usually get the regular poke to-go with half brown rice and half salad. My go-to proteins are the spicy scallops, sesame gomae shrimp, and the limited-time shoyu poke. I also add onions, masago, ginger, Gilroy garlic furikake, and green onions. So delicious! The employees are always nice and fast too, which makes the experience even better.

Used to be one of my favorite poke spots in the bay, and would even drive 30 min out of the way for it, but been recently disappointed with their price and portion sizes. Ordered a large which comes with 5 scoops of protein. Most other poke spots (shoutout poke house) uses regular ice cream-sized scoopers but go fish poke has swapped out theirs with tiny ones that ive used before for bite size cookies. I will say, however, that the taste is still fresh, and toppings provide a satisfying crunch to an otherwise fatty protein. Just don't be alarmed to feel a little under-satisted for a ~$20 meal

After trying to find my go-to poke spot in San Jose, I still think Go Fish is the one! Their gomae sesame and chili sesame sauces are things I can't find anywhere else, and they are SO good together. Fish is buttery as always. Portions are mostly consistent. I'd say bowls are cheaper on average than other spots, but you get less variety in toppings.

Go Fish Poke Bar is exactly what I want out of a to-go poke place: conveinient, lots of variety, good quality ingredients, and a reasonable price. Of course, poke is expensive anywhere, but considering how customizable all their meals are, and the amount of fish they give, I feel it more than justifies a lunch out every once in a while as a treat. My experience with the servers has always been good - they really know their menu well, and tend to be generous with toppings amounts. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside seating is limited, if you do want to eat in, but they have a couple tables, and the shop, though small, is well lit and very modern.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Their menu ranges from the simplest possible base + fish, to relatively more complicated seasonings, dressings, and garnishes. In my experience, they ahve something for everyone, regardless of your poke preferences, including a tofu option if you don't feel like fish. Plus it is located in a great shoppping center, with plenty of dessert and drink options right across the parking lot if you aren't already full on your way out!

Go Fish Poke Bar is the gold standard for poke bowls in the South Bay. I've been coming here since they opened in 2016 and they been knocking it out of the park ever since. It's easily a Top 5 go-to meal for me in all of the San Jose area. The fish is fresh, the portions are generous, and I've received nothing but impeccable service from the staff every time I've been. If you are looking for recommendations, you can't go wrong with the Signature Poke Mix which features ahi tuna and they recently added a new Seared Salmon Shoyu Poke Mix which is equally delicious. I always opt to add avocado as I think it adds a wonderful creaminess to the bowl but it's not essential. If you are getting any of the other fish options you get to choose a sauce to dress it in and I highly recommend the Spicy Togarashi Mayo which provides just the right amount of heat without being overpowering. I've tried a number of other poke restaurants in the area and they just can't quite live up to the standard set by here. My only complaint? That Go Fish isn't located closer to my house so I could go even more frequently, though it's probably a blessing for both my wallet and my waist line.

Great Poke, great flavors, unfortunate small portions. Overall I enjoyed the Dressed to Impress Poke Bowl and the sauce used was very enjoyable however the amount of fish and seafood included was below my expectations. Pros - Fresh fish and other seafood - The recommended bowls seem well thought out and I would be happy to come back and try the rest of the menu if they start filling the bowls with more rice and toppings Cons - Portion size, there was very little fish and you can see the side walls of an already shallow bowl. There are plenty of other Poke places that I would consider first because of this

Kids meal with Shoyu Ginger Chicken and yuzu lemonade. What a great deal

I took a chance on the kids meal bc I wasn't feeling poke and dang the chicken was hella tasty and such great value for money

Yes, they were expensive, but they do ALOT and provide alot and during+after the wedding, we had so many people telling us it was the absolute best food they have ever eaten at a wedding. - They helped coordinate linens and rentals and helped us when we wanted to do a second meeting to confirm our selections. - They gracefully answered questions throughout when finalizing our menu, and the 2nd tasting was just as delicious as the first. Their service and warmth did not diminish one bit after we signed. - During the wedding day, mr Michi himself handed us a handroll right after the ceremony, and that honestly was one of the moments I remember vividly. - The late night snacks were much appreciated by people, and after dancing, people appreciated the extra fuel. - They even helped clean up afterwards! We had two tastings, one upon signing the contract and a final one closer to the date where we were able to bring along family and a close friend. They served us full plates of every dish so we even left with plenty of leftovers, which was such a fun bonus for us! Throughout the planning process, they were very easy to communicate with and were highly responsive via email. It was super convenient having them coordinate the table design at their warehouse, including the linens, plateware, and glassware. While the design meeting isn't a "boutique" curated experience, their warehouse has plenty of options to choose from if you already have a general color palette and vibe in mind. On the wedding day, the staff was extremely attentive and brought us hand rolls before cocktail hour even started to ensure we actually got to eat. The live hand roll station was a massive hit with our guests and absolutely delicious. I also appreciated how open they were to our custom cocktails; I provided my own recipe and li hing powder for a pineapple li hing margarita, which they executed perfectly. Cost-wise, this is not a budget vendor and is on the more expensive side. However, the full-service, high-touch planning and day-of experience, from the tastings to the seamless coordination of all design elements, completely justified the price. You truly get what you pay for, and we have no regrets. If food is a top priority for your wedding, we highly recommend Michi's. Their expertise made our day so special, and we couldn't be happier with how everything turned out!

Food, Service = 5 Another 5 star catering service delivery…read more What started as a repeat extremely satisfied customer order journeyed into uncertainty closed out with validation why Athena Grill Catering will always be one of my go to catering companies, especially for Greek, Mediterranean food. Went to their website to order catered buffet lunch for a board retreat happening the next day in Los Altos. As before site easy to navigate with a variety of options to tailor. The first clue that there might be issues was I wasn't able to see or select my ideal delivery time for later in the day. I thought they were already booked for the time. Then when I confirmed & paid for my order, the interface provided a message at bottom of my receipt that catering orders must be made 48 hours in advance. I did it the night before our retreat. (Made note to self to order 48 hours in advance in future) I was disappointed that the website did not clearly note must be made 48 hours in advance or message before I paid that I was ordering less than 48 hours. After making a decent size order for 9, I went in mode hoping to salvage this order. I sent email to restaurant and left a voicemail that night with intention to call in morning to ensure they can fulfill order or provide a refund if they cannot. I called in morning to leave another message in hopes they check messages before their Saturday opening time of 11am which would not allow enough time to cook & deliver. So while setting up for our retreat and searching for a plan B for lunch the hour before retreat starts at 9:30am, I discovered several missed calls. To my delight it was Lorena confirming that they can complete the order, to call back & that would need to pay $20 to deliverer (lunch delivery is complimentary during weekdays near to their restaurant). She left voicemail and text. When I called back, I thank her and Athena grill for coming through. Fast forward, food delivered in mobile hot boxes as expected on time by a couple, quietly arranged in the back of room, generous serving for 9, and very hot for traveling from Santa Clara to Los Altos. I confirmed with Lorena via text and expressed my gratitude who again was responsive. The food was enjoyed by all. We had salad (crisp w/dressing on side), grilled veggies (chunky cut that were firm not mushy), spanakopita (crisp phylo w/good size filling), vegetarian moussaka (would not miss the meat), rice (loose and more than enough for 9 of us), grilled skewered chicken (always moist), grilled salmon (first time and was good portion), and baklava (tasted home made). One of my colleagues asked if food was Halal, which I think they confirmed. Unsure if correct, so suggest contact restaurant directly. Brought leftovers for Hubby & Dad to enjoy. Made plans to eat at their restaurant so can enjoy other yummy dishes like their lamb. Thank you Lorena & Athena Grill Catering.
