Go Fish Poke Bar is a poke shop very conveniently located in the Stanford shopping mall. For $16, you get 3 scoops of protein on rice or salad. The full 3 scoops of protein is pretty generous, but it'd be hard to mix and match since each scoop is quite small. The service is fast, and the ambiance is like a nice Chipotle. The food is okay. It's certainly an easy and nutritious lunch, but it really pales in comparison to poke elsewhere in the Bay Area and certainly with poke in Hawaii. The fish doesn't seem the freshest, and the seasoning is okay for $16. The Foodland poke in Hawaii is certainly much cheaper, fresher, and better seasoned, but this may be comparing apples to oranges. If you're craving poke and you're at the Stanford shopping mall, it's certainly a good choice. I wouldn't go out of the way to visit here though! read more

I opted for the build your own style, going for a regular size of three fish options. I got mines with their signature poke mix, ahi tuna and salmon. Overall, it was actually quite delicious. There is an upcharge for avocado, which I understand that most places do this. My go to poke place in Walnut Creek offers it for free. The other mixing were good and the sauces were quite flavorful. The spicy aioli sauce is no joke and has quite a kick to it. I recommend it if you enjoy a little bit of heat to your meal. I also mixed it with the shoyu garlic and it was also quite flavorful with my fish. I can see myself coming back here, though the price is a bit high for what I want to pay for. I wanted to like this place, but their hand rolls are weird. Instead of being served on a plate like at a normal sushi store, they come wrapped in plastic with "instructions" on how to roll them yourself. Located in the Stanford shopping area, my boyfriend and I usually come here after our hikes in the Palo Alto area. There's a big parking lot across the street that usually has parking unless you come during busy hours (if you come when it's busy be prepared to follow someone walking to their car). We came around 11:30pm on a Monday and it was empty. You choose a large or regular size, regular size is definitely enough for me. You choose a base, your fish choices, sauces, toppings, the usual stuff. If I could I would rate this place a 3.5/5, but I've rounded up to 4 because it is good. The reasons why I would choose other places over this one is because I feel like the amount of food is ok, but I've seen more at other places, and they have very limited toppings and sauces. I never had Yam noodles, and it reminds me of a healthier Vermaeilli noodle, it got this fresh and crunchy element to it. It got Ahi Tuna, mixed Poké, and Spicy Scallops in it. And I never had Poké with Seared Tuna and Salmon, that took it to the next level. I added, Spicy Togarishi Aioli, Avacado, Onions, Green Onions, Serrano pepper, Garlic Furikake, Masago, and Pozu Sauce. This was a good Poké, I enjoyed it.
