Parking can be hard to find when it's busy. It has some interior tables but it's mostly a take and go place. I ordered my Tuna Lover Bowl at the counter, the server was a little difficult to understand through the barrier. It's custom made and there are a lot of selections but I basically got no rice and lots of veggies with the assorted tuna cubes and Krab salad. I paid at the other end of the counter, and they weren't prepared for cash, but I had exact change including tip. Everything was fresh and tasty. The seasoned tuna didn't have strong flavor. Little known fact of the Poke House chain, amidst the Poke Bowl explosion that hit the Mainland US starting 10 - 15 years ago, from it's distinctly Hawaiian roots and name, is that the founding location, in fact the first 8 or 10 locations, were in Milan, Italy, that Euro Fashion and Business capital in northern Italy! Why? Because its Italian cofounder, Vitoria Zanetti, had a chance to study abroad, and ended up in San Diego, Ca. and loved the vibe and the Poke! Returning to Milan, she wanted to create healthy food everywhere, and her Co-Founder, financially focused Matteo Pichi, wanted to build a global business. And they started in 2018, then got some Euro VC capital and expanded. Over the years since. They acquired some companies in Portugal, Spain, and California (Sweetfin) and have over 140 locations, mostly in western Europe and California. I came to this location after going to the City Sport Gym in the same mall. It is clean, well run, and has signature pre-selected bowls, hot bowls, and BYO bowls. I opted for the Mido Salmon bowl ($21.24) which includes chunks of salmon, lean salad, masago, cucumber, edamame, sweet onion, grape tomato, bikini seaweed, furikake, seaweed salad with sesame oil, miso aioli and ungai sauce. I put this all on a base of leafy greens and julienned zucchini ( you can pick white or brown rice as a base, too). I also added almonds and ginger toppings. I got an Itoen Green Tea bottle, which pushed the total over $25, but that allowed me to get a free Onigiri (rice triangle covered with nori sheets (dried seaweed) and all they had was the tuna salad variety ($3.50 value). They've gone downhill since I last visited (probably around grand opening). The two bowls I got today were both under seasoned (ordered their recommended sauce combos); definitely not enough salt, and generally lack flavor. What's worse, the ahi tuna was extremely sinewy; I'm not sure where to buy fish of that low quality. read more

This place is bright, spacious and clean. There are a few tables outside for outdoor seating. Everything is clearly displayed behind the counter and items are well-labelled. The menu listed all the choices well. The bowl is good and ingredients are fresh. Many choices for people to choose from. Please note that it's in a busy complex (City Sports, Marshall and a few other restaurants) and parking is horrible during peak time. Delivery drivers just parked in the middle of the aisle and block all the traffic and created grid-lock. The parking direction is one-way only. You'll be stuck in the one-way aisle until their car is moved. Suggest you come during non-peak gym time and shopping time. Remove one star for the bad parking situation during peak time. read more

I decided to build my own bowl, medium size, and picked three proteins (ahi tuna, salmon, and garlic oyster tuna). They add a scoop of crab salad at no cost! I got an array of mix ins and decided on the wasabi vinaigrette (very light flavor). I added seaweed salad as a premium topping (extra cost). This bowl was stacked! No scrimping on scoops here. I'd likely go for the small size (2 scoops) next time. The dining area is bright and clean, with generic modern ambiance. I love poke, and Poke House on Grant has been our faithful little Friday tradition for almost a year. We've shown up hungry and loyal, ready for our usual bowls. But here's the thing. The last four or five times we've gone, they've been out of white rice. White rice. At a poke place. That's not a surprise ingredient, that's the foundation. I've tried to be patient because loyalty matters to me, but when the base of the bowl keeps disappearing, it starts to feel less like a one-off and more like a pattern. Exceptional service! Came to pick up but there was a messed up in the order; instead of sending me away, they substituted it with a full service poke bowl of 3 proteins, free of charge! I've been ordering Poke House for a few years for a solid lunch option, usually with no issues. But recently things have gone downhill, and I'm not sure if it's due to employee turnover or just issues with the management. On two occasions, I have paid extra for the seaweed salad, only to find that it was not included when my order arrived. This involves me taking a photo of the bowl, disputing the charge with the restaurant through the delivery service app, and waiting for a response. On both occasions, the restaurant was very fast to respond, and they owned up to the issue and provided a more than generous credit, so that was nice, but it sucks to happen at all, because I feel bad they have to credit me so much for something that is only $2 extra. For two weeks now, the delivery time has not wavered from an 80-minute wait. Regardless of time, be it right at opening, or a few hours later, the wait time has been really long, and again, there doesn't seem to be a real reason for that issue to be occurring. All they have to do is make and bag the food, and the delivery driver does the rest; why would that process take the restaurant 80 minutes to complete? I'm hoping these issues are temporary. The food is otherwise always consistent, with great portion sizes and fresh ingredients. I highly recommend them for the food. read more

In terms of food, honestly it was really tasty. I love how fresh the fish tastes I loved the flavors that popped off with the sauces. They had a great selection. I'm a huge fan of their salmon. Not too fatty but just enough that it's really soft and chewy. My favorite is when it comes with some darn good wasabi sauce. The service was super friendly, the workers were amazing, and it was very clean inside. Ambiance? It was how you'd expect it to be at a poke place! Only lost one star just because it did cost a little more than usual for poke for me. However I will say it's tasty! read more

This past week, our order was ready way later than promised, one of the poke bowls was made incorrectly, and we paid extra for sauces not received. What is frustrating too is there is no easy way to follow-up on order issues. The app tells you to call the restaurant directly, but nobody answers those calls or returns messages, so you're left paying for a product that is not what you expected and paid to get. All the ingredients were really fresh, service was good, and it had everything you would expect from a poke place. Since it's so close to where I live, I can see myself coming here often. We were craving for something healthy so we decided on some poke. Came here and super excited that you can make your own custom poke bowl! I ordered a size Medium build-your-own custom bowl. It is their most popular option, which includes 3 protein scoops, crab salad, and your choice of mix-ins, sauces, and toppings over rice or veggies. For my custom bowl, I added the following: -Base: Mixed Greens (gotta eat healthy!) -A free scoop of crab salad (omg we get this for free?! Awesome!). -3 protein scoops: Garlic Oyster Tuna (really good, my fav now!), Scottish Salmon, and Spicy Miso Salmon. -Mix Ins: I just piled most of the ingredients on top! -Sauces: adding Sriracha Aioli and Citrus Ponzu (slightly spicy with a kick!). -Additional Toppings: Just piled it all on too and added extra ginger. The guy behind the counter mixed all the ingredients pretty well and produced a nice big fresh bowl of poke. They are very generous with their portions here. The place looked like it had a clear system of ordering, but it also made me a bit apprehensive how to actually go through the process. There were a few staff members behind the counter, and they were all eager to help me get what I was interested in. I had a bowl built just by pointing at the things I wanted as I went along the counter. One thing I noticed was the lack of a soda fountain. There are other drink selections, but I figured for a place with this large of a dining area, it would at least have a soda fountain. The price seemed a bit on the high end for what I got. Stopped by this spot to grab a quick to go lunch. The San Jose spot is where I usually go but passed by this location. I got the small poke bowl with brown rice, a scoop each of salmon and tuna. I love that you can add items like masago, edamame, crab salad and lots of others. Then you can add the crunchy items which make it all so tasty like furikake, crispy onion, or sesame seeds. Pretty good poke spot tucked away in a busy grocery plaza. I got the small bowl that includes 2 scoops of protein plus seaweed salad (+$2) for a total of about $20. A bit on the pricey side but they have pretty generous portions and are happy to give samples. The interior is spacious and clean, and the outside plaza is bustling. Parking can get limited and it was a bit tricky to spot the restaurant at first, so note that it's on the side near the Habit Burger and grill. I pretty much added all the toppings except for spicy stuff. I appreciate the free crab salad scoop even though it's quite mayo-y and the unlimited toppings except premium ones.
