Harumaki Roll (4) - $2.70 Cooked to perfection. Crispy & tasty. Even better with Yum Yum sauce Rating: 8.9/10 - could have been stuffed more. Hibachi Grilled Salmon Bowl - about $15 Salmon overcooked and lacked flavor. Rice and vegetables not enough flavor. However, side sauces (Yum Yum & Sweet and Sour) added a bit more flavor to eat. Absolutely DELICIOUS! They served it up so fast and accurate to be the most delicious poke I have ever had! (And I eat a lot of poke). There is a reason it has 5 stars. SERIOUSLY. Go get some!! The place is spacious and has quite a bit of seating. Give it a try.

While venturing out in Evansville, we happened upon Poke River and decided to give it a try. There's ample parking. The interior is spacious and clean with ample seating. We were greeted by one of their staff who was also taking orders at the counter. The food offerings were ramen, udon, poke bowls, and sushi. The sushi chef was on the opposite end of the counter and rolling sushi. Being accustomed to cubed raw fish that is flavored for poke bowls, the spicy poke options appeared to be ground up fish which I guess is a mainland thing at some restaurants. I ended up ordering beef ramen. The order was brought to our table and dug into it. The broth was flavorful and not overly salty. The noodles were Al dente and there were a few pieces of tender beef along with bamboo shoots and half a hard boiled egg. The meal was tasty and filling. As it was approaching lunch time, other customers entered the restaurant. We found the staff to be quite friendly and polite and experienced good service by the waitress who brought our order out to us. The food was quite good and filled my appetite. I'd return to Poke River and would likely try some of their sushi. Highly recommended.

This was the first poké that I have had since moving to the area almost a year ago, and I should have came sooner. The place was quiet and nice, the workers were helpful and friendly. The food was lights out good! It's a 20 minute drive for me, but I'm already making plans to return this weekend.

Quick service, we ordered online and was able to pick up in 10 minutes. Parking lot so parking isn't an issue. Friendly staff. I ordered the Volcano Sushi Burrito and ordered a Hawaiian Poke Bowl for my boyfriend. I was able to select a Poke salad instead of rice for his. Holy delicious! I'm late to the game, this was my first Poke bowl experience but let me tell you it was a good one! The bowl was packed to the brim with fresh fish, veggies, and avocado all on a bed of greens. The flavors worked so well together and it was very filling! I was able to eat half for lunch and half for dinner. Definitely worth stopping by to try!

If you want to eat some both delicious and fresh, you need to visit Poke River. I just starting going to the restaurant and I've always visited several times. At some restaurants, great food AND service can be a hit or miss. At Poke River, they never fail to provide delicious food and excellent customer service. I am just so impressed at how amazing this restaurant is. Now, what do I like to order? Well, the sushi burrito is my go-to meal. Poke River offers a wide variety of items to add to the sushi burrito, which is good for adventurous eaters like myself! I also recently tried their Crab Rangoon, and I was blown away! The Crab Rangoon is light, not greasy, has the perfect amount of filling, and are very crispy. I love them! I am so happy that Poke River came to Evansville!

The atmosphere is very quiet. If you're more on the introverted side, this place is very cozy to have your lunch/dinner! The staff is very friendly. If you order a sushi burrito you get to pick everything you'd like on it, like you would at a Subway. It's a nice touch to be able to watch your food get made, I've always liked that personally. They seemed to be a little busy when I'd ordered so the wait time was a bit longer than I would have liked. The fish is nice and fresh and the soup is nice and warm. I recommend this place to anyone who likes a good bowl of udon! The crab Rangoons are smaller than I expected them to be but the flavor is amazing! read more

Poke river is INCREDIBLE. The ramen is delicious, egg rolls delectable, and the sushi is a must-have! The interior is simple and clean. The cooks are incredibly talented and clearly love what they do. This place is one of my all time favorite restaurants in Evansville. The service is quick and have never gotten an order wrong (in my case at least) in the many times I've visited! Highly recommended. read more

Been here about 3 times. Usually get the poke bowl which is delicious after I learned to add the seaweed salad and some yum yum sauce. One time I got the ramen which was tasty, but the the texture of the chicken was not pleasing. Also, the soup was messy and too much food for one sitting. We were so excited to try this place! The salmon lovers bowl add seaweed salad was everything I had hope for! It was so fresh and delicious! I absolutely love that I found this place in Evansville! I come to Evansville from Owensboro frequently because of the multiple food options the city has to offer versus Owensboro and I love Ramen as well as Boba and this place has it all and even though they are name is poke river they have other options and it's so awesome! The best raw fish from Northern European waters, never re-frozen/thawed multiple times. So much variety in fresh ingredients, you will have to visit more than once to get your favorite combinations. Don't be fooled by the simple look/convenient location; this is a hidden gem. Rice bowl and ramen are our favorites. Service is quick. If there's a long line/moderate wait, don't fret, it will go by quickly. Pictures won't do the food justice. You must try and taste, and try again. read more

Everyone said how good the poke bowls are, how friendly the staff is and how clean the place is, so I won't repeat. I have tried the beef ramen tonight, I have to say it's above my expectation. There is only one type of ramen soup, and it's a rich tasting soyu based soup. The beef is tender and well seasoned, and the noodle is slightly chewy like it should be. This is definitely one of the better ramen from a non ramen dedicated restaurant. Worth a try if you are craving for a hot bowl of noodle. read more

I had sushi and ramen. It was good! They put too much wasabi in a sauce container, and that was a bit annoying because you had to pour so much soy sauce for the soy sauce to above wasabi. Wasabi should have been provided on a shallow soy source dish. Other than that, it was great. I'd go back again. read more

One of the best dinners I have had in this area. While I will admit it can be pricy, it is worth it. I had the sushi burrito. It was incredibly filling and incredible. My husband had a Poke Bowl. Fed him for two meals. We always get the crab Rangoon. The flavor is a bit different from other Rangoon but awesome nonetheless. 5 stars over and over again. read more

I tried a poke bowl and their shrimp hibachi bowl. The poke bowl was by far the best I've had, and the shrimp hibachi bowl was better than any of the fancy Japanese restaurants around here. This is now easily my favorite restaurant in town, and I am looking forward to trying their raman in the future. read more

This place is amazing. First, it is very clean. Like sparkling and new, "eat off the floor" clean. Even the soda machine is pristine looking. They also have the tables and ordering process set up perfectly for safe social distancing. Second, the staff are very friendly and helpful. They are informative if you aren't sure what to order or need any guidance. Third, the food is amazing. High quality hibachi, sushi grade tuna, perfect udon, fresh vegetables, all the toppings/garnish you could desire. This restaurant does a great job providing authentic and delicious Japanese food in an accessible and customizable fashion. Die hard Japanese food fans will not be disappointed and the "Panda Express is my most adventurous eating experience" crowd will be able to dip their proverbial toe into authentic Japanese food and be pleasantly surprised! read more
