I got the large poke bowl and the portions are huge. I ordered salad only and there was more fish than salad. I was not a fan of the imitation crab or pineapple. They both had a funky taste to it. For the sauce i asked for ponzu and the wasabi mayo. I basically only tasted mayo in every bite. A little disappointing but if you prefer quantity this would be the place.

I've been craving poke for a while now, so I'm really glad that my cousin suggested this spot today for lunch! There were plenty of parking spots in the parking lot next to it. There was a little bit of a wait to get our food though because there were only two employees there and a whole bunch of customers for them to help. They were moving very quickly and efficiently, but they just seemed a little understaffed. The store isn't too big and felt a little warm despite having both ceiling fans on. Everything looked really clean inside and all the ingredients were in a refrigerated display. They were very generous with the portion sizes! I got a small bowl, but they really loaded it up. The food tasted really fresh and tasty too! 10/10 would come again

Can't believe this place is right across from Trader Joe's and I haven't known about it. This just became my new incentive to go grocery shopping when I don't feel like it--the poke is so good and the portions are so generous. This girl has finished many a large poke bowl in her day--this one I felt like I ate SO much of and I STILL had a sizeable portion left over. I love their spicy tuna, and they have lots of great options for toppings and proteins. Please, never change, guys. Everyone is nice and it's a quick, efficient pick-what-you-want spot. There are a few tables in and outside, and they have yummy lemon water out for customers. I wanna go back already!!

Great poke spot! The portions are generous and definitely worth the price. The staff is welcoming, friendly, and very helpful when it comes to explaining the options and making recommendations. Fresh ingredients, great service, and a positive atmosphere -- I'll definitely be coming back!

I asked for light crispy onions ** they usually give a bunch

This place is my favorite poke place! They have the best spicy tuna in my opinion and always give huge portions for the price! Some days it's slow, some days it's fast but it really depends on who's working. But service is always good from my experience. TODAY- I got a new server I believe. She put my crab meat inside the mixing bowl and put the cucumbers on the side, I did tell her tho ..so there wasn't a problem (felt like I was training her LMAO) still had a great meal! She'll learn in no time!

Staff is very nice and patient when ordering. The restaurant is very clean and sanitary. I tried the small bowl with scallops and salmon. I didn't like the scallops as much as the salmon but they were both good. I really liked the portions here because I ordered a small and I only finished half in one sitting. The pineapple was a bit harder and slightly sour. However the imitation crab also has its own unique flavor from others I've tried that was pretty good.

    Sushi rolls to go.

A few months ago, I ordered a Poke Bowl from here via DoorDash. However, the delivery never arrived. I guess the driver was hungrier than I was. I was in the area and decided to give it one more shot. Apparently, I got there at the right time because while the nice man behind the counter was preparing my order a line formed behind me. Poke Salad Bar is locally owned. It's small & quaint with a few tables inside and some outside. The live plants and background music create a nice ambience. There are three bowl sizes to choose from: Small $14.99 (2 scoops), Medium $16.99 (3 scoops), & Large $18.99 (4 scoops). You have a choice of quinoa brown rice, white rice, half & half, salad, or poke burrito for your base. I selected a large to share with my niece and also got us some Miso soup. I was surprised that the bowl was much bigger than my usual Poke spot and cheaper too. The portions were generous, and they don't skimp on the toppings. The rice was soft, and the ingredients were also fresh. The pieces of fish were small and there could have been a tad more sauce, but other than that it was good. Between the two of us, we couldn't finish it. It's a great deal for the price. They also serve sushi rolls. *Free two-hour street parking.

Really nice poke place with generous portions, I ordered the medium with brown rice/salmon/spicy tuna/and scallops! The worker was really nice and fast with preparing my order. Food was delicious

Good, fast, friendly service. Quality ingredients. Portion size still larger than advertised. Even a small is plenty enough to share. PSB is always a great choice for quick lunch.

Conveniently located right across the street from the newest and great Trader Joe's in the area, this is the perfect place for a hungry grocery shopper to stop in after grabbing your goods. While I won't say it's the best or tastiest poke place I've ever been to, this is definitely the most generous! You will definitely fill up on even a small bowl. The only difference between a small, medium and large bowl is the amount of scoops of fish: 2 for the small, 3 for the medium and 4 for the large. Today it was a small (with ahi tuna) and medium (with a scoop of spicy tuna and two of ahi tuna). Always greeted with a friendly smile and good service. Giovanni was polite, helpful and attentive at our last visit. This place is definitely worth a try. The best bang for your buck!

Large size poke bowl (VERY GENEROUS SERVINGS!! :D )

One of the freshest--if not the best--sushi marketplaces in town! Yama Sushi Marketplace is a small…read moreshop that is always packed with locals looking to satisfy their sushi cravings, and after my first visit, I can definitely see why. The store offers an impressive selection of Japanese goodies, including ramen, condiments, fresh sashimi, and a wide variety of sushi rolls. There are so many options and combinations to choose from. If you are looking for sashimi, head to the back of the store where they have conveniently packaged fish sold by the pound, and they will happily slice it for you. Or, if you are in a hurry, you can grab their freshly made sushi rolls from the refrigerators. On my visit, I picked up ahi tuna, salmon, and yellowtail sashimi, along with California rolls and tuna rolls. Every piece of fish was incredibly fresh with a buttery texture and amazing flavor. The quality of the fish and the perfectly seasoned sushi rice were so good that I barely needed any soy sauce or wasabi. I only recently discovered this hidden gem, but it has already become a place I will be visiting regularly. The sushi is high quality, reasonably priced, and absolutely delicious. If you are a sushi lover, Yama Sushi Marketplace is definitely worth checking out!

I've finally visited all three (current) Yama locations!…read more I think you can definitely see the age of this location compared to the other two but it still has that old-school charm They have a good size market portion here but the refrigerated section with sushi isn't so abundant or filled, and the variety isn't as wide as the other two locations. I came around 5pm when I figured most people stop by after work or for dinner but I've been to the other two locations during similar rush-hour periods and they were well stocked with a wide variety. So I think that's the only downside to this location, their limited space. BUT that doesn't take away from the quality or flavor of the sush! I picked up an assortment of tuna, salmon, and mixed rolls. All were fresh and delicious with great rice and good fish portions! I brought these for a party and everyone loved it! Yama is still the go-to spot for "market" sushi!

I got lucky to catch them 30 minutes before they closed at 8:00 PM. Pretty clean place with bar stool seating along the left wall. All gender restroom is in the back. Build your own poke bowl. Small (2 scoops), medium (3 scoops), and large (5 scoops) sizes ranging from $16+, $18+, 20+ per bowl, respectively. Protein consists of salmon, tuna, albacore, octopus, scallops, shrimp, tofu, etc. Toppings vary from edamame, corn, pineapple, red onion, cucumber, seaweed, sesame seeds, furikake, fried garlic, and shallots. Base comes in white sushi rice, organic brown rice, salad, or half & half. Got two large poke bowls with salmon and all the toppings. Avocados cost extra. Love the big chunks of fresh salmon! Scoops could be a tad larger. Please note extra toppings will cost extra money. Each bowl comes with a max of 3 sauces... got Dynamite, Spicy Garlic, and Sweet Unagi. They were very flavorful sauces especially when combined together. I would get a large poke bowl with all 3 of the same sauces again. Lady staff members were friendly and nice. Prices was on the higher end compared to other poke places. Nevertheless, tasty, fresh and healthy poke bowl is a win win win in my book. Po'ki Bar delivered. Highly recommend!! Their topping selection has a good variety, with all your standard poke toppings. I can't complain! The sauce selection is also pretty standard, my usuals being their house shoyu and sesame. A while ago, they had a citrus sauce, but sadly discontinued it. I'm hoping one day they bring it back because it was my favorite! Although the quality of their poke has been consistent through all the years, their prices have gone up significantly compared to other poke places in the area. A small bowl runs you about $18 - $20 now, depending on if you pay for the extra avocado. Their poke is still delicious, but Poki Bar has been out of the rotation for me due to the increase in price compared to the average poke shops nearby.

One of my favorite things to get at Fish King is the plate with the swordfish skewers. This dish is honestly so unique, and I haven't found anything like it anywhere else. It's basically two shish-kebab style sticks of seasoned swordfish, peppers, and tomatoes, and it's served with a few sides in addition to fried veggies and shrimp. I also really enjoy their tacos. They also have very generous servings of poke (I personally don't get the poke from here because it's already mixed in with raw onions and I don't like raw onion). Prices are all very reasonable--the swordfish plate I mentioned earlier is around $15 and a pretty large amount of food. Fish King does get pretty busy especially around mealtimes so it's better to order in advance and pick up so that you don't have to wait around as long. I think if you order in person, you can expect a 20-30 min wait when it's busy. There's a small lot on the side of the market and sometimes you can find street parking too. There are some tables on both ends of the market so you can dine in, it's very casual.
