If you want healthy fast food (I know it's a bit of an oxymoron but bear with me here), you really need to come here. Depending on what you get, it can either be pricey or reasonable. Urbane Cafe is still one of my favorite spots for a healthy and tasty meal. Lately I've been ordering the Crunchy Peanut Salad. Ordered doordash and my order came pretty fast in less than an hour! Pricing was reasonable and most items were $15+. There was a good variety of sandwiches, bowls, salads, and soups The Chimichurri Steak Sandwich ($16.85) was ok. The steak didn't taste like steak and just seemed like roast beef. I was expecting the quality of the steak and the portion of the sandwich to be bigger since it was quite pricey. The Chimichurri was ok and a little bland. The bread tasted pretty fresh and soft so that was pretty good! Overall, the sandwich was not too impressive so it was 6/10 The sandwich comes with a side of salad but I paid extra $5.40 for a side of tomato bisque soup instead. The soup was very creamy and delicious! It tasted very fresh and flavorful without being too salty. This was 8/10 The Dragonfruit Agua Fresca ($3.95) was ok and not too sweet. It was refreshing but it tasted artificial and wasn't made with real dragonfruit so this was 6/10 The chocolate chip cookie ($3.75) was amazing! It was so soft and fresh! Definitely my favorite item in the meal! Definitely recommend and would get again! I went to Urban Café on a Sunday and had a great experience. I was greeted at the back entrance (there are two entrances). As soon as you step inside, the aroma of their fresh bread fills the air. They offer patio seating in the front and a good amount of seating inside. The menu has a great selection of healthy options--salads, sandwiches, and even some guilty pleasures like cookies. My recommendation: try the Crunchy Peanut Salad. It's flavorful, filling, and absolutely delicious. The Ahi Salad is also really good. I'm already planning to go back because they have tofu options as well as keto-friendly choices. The customer service stood out--they clear tables promptly, check in to see if you need anything, and create a welcoming, down-to-earth atmosphere. Ordered DoorDash from here at 6:59PM and didn't receive the order until 8:10PM. Not sure what happened but there were 3 separate dashers that had been waiting at the restaurant and updating me. Unfortunately, when the food arrived, everything was cold but still tasty! I ordered the socal sandwich (very yummy) and it came with a small side salad. I opted for the cilantro vinaigrette and that was good as well. The focaccia really pulls the sandwich together. The seared ahi tuna bowl had overcooked tuna (we thought it was steak for a second) but also still pretty good. The Brie cheese complimented the sandwich so well, almost tasted like gravy. Both the meats on the sandwiches were nice and meaty. Ordered in the front, got a number and took a seat. Food took about 5-10 minutes. Here are my thoughts. The Ahi - The sauce on this salad was absolutely delicious. I would get this again and would recommend this one. Like a glorified poke salad bowl. Super fresh and hearty. (5/5) Baja Bowl - I really enjoyed this one and also would recommend. Price is very reasonable and everything tasted so fresh. Was like a better chipotle bowl. (4.5/5) Wedding Soup (Bowl) - The soups here are kind of my only regret. The bowl came out to be really small especially for near $8. It almost looked like a cup but I confirmed and they told me it was a bowl so I guess portions are just small. The soup was wedding soup and IMO it was just okay. Nothing spectacular about this one. Came with a bread as well. I'd pass on the soups here. Pricey and small portions. (2/5) Overall some great food and some things I would pass next time around. I'll have to try the sandwiches next time but I definitely think the bowls are top notch here. After eating we had put away the dishes ourselves so for the most part, this place is fairly self services besides the food being delivered to you.
