I did get the create a poke with three protein and I included the spicy salmon, kani and shrimp tempura. An unassuming small spot in a strip mall... a nice one, I'll say.. I am very familiar with the area, but had no idea about this gem until my friend suggested we meet here for lunch. I'm so glad that she did! Nice, open, and very clean... I love that there are sheets where you can check off what you'd like in your poke bowl.. made it a very easy and quick process. Friendly service and patient with questions. I got kale and zucchini noodles for my base, which I LOVE the kale noodles.. spicy salmon for my protein.. added sweet onion, furikake, a bunch of veggies--I forget lol, topped with their Hawaiian shoyu sauce (so good) and sriracha.. It was my first time trying kale noodles and if you've never had them I would 100% recommend. They were light and delicious. The whole bowl was filling in a good way. This place just opened recently and we have gone twice so far. Both times everything has been amazing and so fresh and delish. The staff is incredible and so nice and explain the menu. They have a great variety and are happy to make your own bowl to your specific taste. Today we stopped by and got the P6, P8 and P10, cream cheese wontons and three juices and bubble tee with lychee. The food is fantastic. I decided to try out ordering my favorite Taro milkshake and pick it up during my 30 min lunch break from work. I decided that because I wanted it ready to pick up as soon as I arrived to welcomed the $1 convenience fee. I waited the 20 mins for the order to be ready. When I arrived to pick it up, it wasn't made. So they made it while I waited. THEY STILL CHARGED THE $1 CONVENIENCE FEE! What the hell? Don't trust them when you place an order online. Never again will I order online. I wasn't pleased that I lost time for other things during my lunch break. I should've charged a $1 inconvenience fee. read more

The beef was really thick and fatty not thin / shredded like Bulgogi is supposed to be and I found something a little off on the sauces I requested - specifically the Spicy Poke Sauce. I went for the make your own bowl - lots of options for proteins and add-ins. I got the shrimp tempura and spicy tuna with sushi rice, mango, cucumbers, and edamame. Lots of sauce options, but went with the recommendation of Hawaiian sauce. Overall - great portion size! Very tasty and loved the spicy and sweetness mixed together. I've been caregiving for my mother who lives in the area and was so pleased to find a local poke and sushi roll option nearby. Poke Star offers protein choices for the poke bowls that are above and beyond the ones I've typically encountered at others. Earlier this afternoon, I stopped in and ordered a "create your own" combination with two proteins. (A second visit - stopped in a week or so ago to sample a sushi roll and pick up a takeout menu.) Pepper tuna and seared salmon were among them (two in particular that are not options at poke eateries where I live), so that is what graced my bowl.Fried fish and bulgogi beef are also protein options, btw.I love adding mango to poke. The mango today was perfect in ripeness and texture. Everything was fresh, the restaurant was spanking clean, and the staff were very kind. Great find. I hope they do well! read more

Poke star should be named "Poke Treasure"! This was my first poke experience and I am thrilled to have had it here. The fish and veggies selection was great - a lot to choose from. I tried pickled beets that were delicious. The proteins include fish (raw and cooked) beef and chicken. Sauces were also great. I was just impressed by the selection to choose from and the freshness of the ingredients. But the biggest take away was the size of the bowl. It was very generous!!!! Just tried Poke Star and I'm so glad I did. Everything is fresh and delicious. The portion size is very generous. First time there I decided to get their signature poke bowl. A combination of zoodles and spring mix on the bottom and on top, packed with more veggies, seaweed, tuna and salmon. Ginger dressing was yummy. Can't wait to go back and try everything else. I've been looking for a place closer than the one I got to in Flemington that serves a good poke bowl. This place is fairly new so we decided to give it a try. I ordered the tempura shrimp and salmon poke bowl. It was very good, the ingredients were fresh and delicious. It was definitely comparable to the place I had been going to previously.
