Quick on the go poke place for lunch! The young lady was super sweet in assisting and got my order ready no longer than 5 minutes. You get great portions of protein/add ons, it's great! I got the regular bowl with Tuna/spicy salmon! Add light sauces (shoyu/ponzu/spicy mayo). Will def be coming back based off the service I had today.

I order from Poke Xpress all the time, and they never disappoint! The fish is always fresh, the toppings are generous, and the flavors hit every time. Portions are really fair for the price, and I love that they're consistent! whether I order once a week or multiple times in a row, the quality is always the same. Honestly, it's become my go-to spot whenever I'm craving poke(which is all the time TT) Highly recommend if you want fresh, delicious bowls that don't feel skimpy!

Went back ... craving for crab salad - Kaylee who helped me was so patient and followed every bit of the recipe I have. She was very pleasant and accommodating. I always advocate the experience you get visiting a food place is sometimes not just the food but, the interaction and type of service you get. Kaylee surely delivered that... good experience! For sure will be back...

Coming from Seattle I really hoped to find a delicious poke place and this spot nailed it! They have lots of delicious toppings and sauces to choose from and they offer free miso soup too. Yum! The staff was kind and friendly too! Go try it, you'll love it!

I was in the mood for Poke & decided to give this place a try near the busy part of Pearland. By far one of the best places I've had Poke from in recent memory... -Poke Bowl Regular 4/5: I got the Salmon/Tuna as my meats & the fish simply did not disappoint with the eel sauce/spicy mayo combination. The crab salad & avocado gave it a creamy texture that blended well with the onion & garlic bits. The seaweed/pickled radish was very sweet & then sour honestly one of my favorites things out this bowl. -Miso Soup 4/5: They offered a Miso Soup FOR FREE.... I could not miss on that I love miso soup ..... The broth was delicious & the seaweed & tofu conjunction made this free soup very worthy. This place is a must if you want a Poke bowl, it honestly blew my expectations out the window & the service was excellent.

I got there right when they opened and got a regular bowl with brown rice. Their white rice wasn't ready yet, but maybe it's for the better since brown rice is healthier. This place is interesting since they put some sauces on first, I got eel sauce and ponzu on my rice. I then chose salmon and ahi tuna, which they put in a bowl with some mixers. For the mixers, I got green and sweet onions, sesame seeds, hot chili flakes, and cilantro. They add that to the protein and mix them together before adding them back to my bowl. I then added spicy mayo and wasabi cream on top of that. For toppings, I got masago, seaweed salad, mixed crab meat, avocado, and corn. Avocado is free here!! Got crunch I got crispy onion and garlic and nori strips. They also have free self serve miso soup. The portions here are a little smaller than other places I've been to but they're unique in the way they mix the protein with other items, which I think brings out a lot more in their flavor. I really liked my poke bowl overall. The miso soup was also really good, with plenty of tofu and seaweed, you can also add green onions

We don't frequent Pearland that often, but when we did, we were on the hunt for a great poke place! This place has huge portions and fresh fish! I had the regular bowl with white rice, salmon, tuna, sesame seeds, green onion, edamame, mango, ginger, masago, and nori with a teriyaki sauce. The mango was so refreshing and sweet! I've never seen a place offer both pineapple and mangos and as a fruit lover I really appreciate it haha! My bf had the large bowl with brown rice, salmon, spicy salmon, and tuna. He also added green onion, sesame seeds, cilantro, mixed crab meat, seaweed salad, edamame, masago, sweet corn, and ginger with a shoyu sauce. Overall, we'd definitely be back when we are in the area again!

Considering how many times I've been here since it's so close, this review is long, long overdue. Along with sushi, poke is one of my absolute FAVORITE foods, like ever. Not only is it flavorful and delicious, but also extremely nutritious (rhyme intended). Ordering is pretty simple, you pick your base, which can consist of rice and or/salad, your proteins, mix-ins, sauce, and allll the toppings you'd like. The fish is always hella fresh, and the toppings and sauces are consistently good. Also, they have these flavored green teas which are only a dollar during happy hour, highly recommend adding as well. Super refreshing and delicious. The staff is super helpful if it's your first time, ordering is pretty simple, and this makes for the perfect on the go meal as the way you order is simple to how you would in chipotle. The location is clean, and has enough seats for those who are dining in, which is rare considering that poke is more of a grab-and-go food. Never had a bitter experience here, and plan on returning again and again.

Spicy salmon and tuna bowls. So yummy.

This is an excellent poke bowl restaurant. Bright and clean and airy. The salmon and tuna tasted very fresh. You can also get free miso soup (which we found out that you should let it cool off first!). On a plus plus side, our server was adding food to one of the trays. Before taking our order she washed her hands with soap and water. BONUS. Excellent light choice for lunch or dinner. We will be back!

It's a long open layout with about 1/3 of it being the prep, order, and kitchen area. It was clean, organized, and decor gave island vibes The staff were friendly and they were incredible efficient. It felt like there were many chefs tucked in a cramped workspace, but they made it work So, the menu is pretty amazing in terms of size and components, but also overwhelming in terms of options. You can order a salad-style or rice bowl and there are options for 1-3 proteins. There are about a dozen proteins to choose from, but that's the easy part. The sheer amount of greens, veggies, fruit, sauces, and additional toppings is astounding. There's even suggestions for good pairings, but it's completely up to you Everything tasted fresh. It was impossible to finish the entire bowl. Luckily, there are to-go boxes available. J would have liked to have had bigger to-go boxes available, and also, the only napkins I saw were in the very back by the drinks. The reason I'm giving this 5 stars is because I was truly impressed by the amount of food, the options, the efficiency, and the overall taste Some tips: I know some people are put off by raw fish. You are asked if you want your protein grilled or raw for certain options like tuna, salmon, etc I would definitely look at some of the flavor pairings and recommendations. It's very easy to wing-it and load up on contradicting or overpowering flavors There's boba tea options available. We weren't asked if we wanted this for done in or to go, so, I would go on the assumption that they will make it for dine in. They also have both forks/utensils and chopsticks. Cheers!!

For $55/person for dinner at a nice Japanese restaurant (think closer to $80 after tax and tip), how high quality could it actually be? And how full will I leave? Do I need to stop by Burger King on the way home because the portions here were too small? Nope! The quality and taste of every dish was super impressive, and after the 3 course meal, I actually went home full, satisfied, and feeling pretty good about myself! Let's talk about the food. I started with a delicious appetizer: wagyu skewers which are boneless short ribs skewers with grape tomato, spring onion, sesame, and lettuce. Omg - it melts in your mouth. You don't need to go to Tokyo's Tsukiji market anymore. Just drive to 59 and Timmons in Houston! The main course was the omakase plate which included generous portions: 3 pieces of nigiri, 3 pieces of sashimi, and chef's roll. The fish was spectacular and the flavor of the sushi rice was perfection. No soy sauce even needed. Lastly, the dessert. I'm not much of a dessert person (unless I'm on a Carnival cruise ship in which case I go to town on that melting chocolate cake). I ordered the Bailey's Salted Caramel Bread Pudding, and it was the perfect way to finish off the meal. Generous portions with the perfect texture and level of sweetness. Overall, quite an amazing meal. The service was exquisite. Our waitress wasn't over the top - just straightforward, professional, and kind. She went through the specials quickly and oriented us to the menu, and when she realized that our party of 9 was pretty much ordering off the Restaurant Week menu, she took our orders quickly with no confusion. The timing of each course was perfect. No waiting around, and no being rushed either. Lastly, the ambiance is what you would expect from a high end Japanese place. Packed on a Friday evening (luckily we had a reservation), and parking wasn't a problem either. Highly recommend this place. It will run you about $100/person if you want your fill of sushi, unless you go during Houston restaurant week.

The waitress was super friendly and gave us a concise run down of the menu which was very helpful. I ended up going with the Houston restaurant dinner menu and I was throughly impressed! The hamachi appetizer was super fresh and perfectly dressed with an amazing sauce that accentuated the fish quality. The omakase plate was very generous portion and the chef's choice selection highlighted high quality fish and was presented beautifully. The sushi rice was quite exceptional and it really set the rolls and nigiri apart from other Japanese restaurants in Houston. The dessert was a perfect ending to the meal. The gelato and Dubai chocolate pairing was delectable and it was encased in thin mochi wafers that hit all the different textural notes that made the dessert really stand out. My diagnosis: come here for high quality sushi and beautiful ambiance!

Since we were already in the area after breakfast at TJ's Filipino Cuisine, we finally got the chance to stop by and try their baked goods for ourselves. We arrived early, so the bakery wasn't too busy yet. The bakers were busy prepping more goodies in the back while my cousin and I browsed all the Filipino baked goods we really miss from back home in the Philippines. They even had suman, sapin-sapin, biko, and other kakanin, which was nice to see. I specifically looked for the chicken empanada, and my cousin wanted to try the ube white chocolate chip cookie. We also saw different kinds of siopao and planned to come back later to buy some before heading back to San Antonio. We tried the ube white chocolate chip cookie first, but honestly we weren't totally satisfied. It tasted more like a regular white chocolate chip cookie with purple coloring and didn't really have much ube flavor. I also tried the chicken empanada. My cousin didn't like it because it was sweeter than expected--we were both expecting it to be savory. There seemed to be caramelized sugar in the outside of the pastry, which probably added to the sweetness. I still like it, though it was definitely sweeter than what I'm used to. Red Ribbon's chicken empanada is still my favorite. Later that day before leaving Houston, we came back for the siopao we planned to take home. We finally decided to just buy a couple pieces for ourselves, heat them up in the bakery, and try them fresh. When we saw the price for a four-pack, we were honestly disappointed. It felt expensive for the size. The siopao wasn't huge, and while I like the dough, there wasn't much chicken filling inside. For the portion, taste, and quality, it felt overpriced. Overall, it's probably not worth making another trip back for us. We did enjoy the cassava ube suman, and I like the chicken empanada, but not enough to drive all the way to Houston just for those. If I live nearby, I might come back to try other baked goods, but based on this visit, I'm not sure the rest would impress my palate. I still give them credit for cleanliness and customer service, although we did notice fruit flies on one of the shelves and reported it. The staff was friendly, and the bakery itself was welcoming. At the end of the day, since they're a bakery, the expectation is great-tasting, quality, mouthwatering Filipino breads, pastries ", and kakanin. While some items were enjoyable, overall it just didn't quite live up to the hype for us.
