Found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try based on all the great reviews, and it did not disappoint! If you're looking for a quick lunch that's full of fresh ingredients, this is the spot for you. I decided to get the chef classic signature bowl with some tempura shrimp on top, and really loved the mix of toppings and flavors. The tuna was high quality and the regular bowl size was perfect for me. The staff was also very friendly and helped me navigate different menu options! We used to love this place and my kid always gets a bowl and they charge $5 since he gets like 3 items and no fish. Went today and the girl charged us $15 and I tried to explain to her that we've been coming since they've opened and they've always done that for us. Needless to say, we won't be back. read more

New poke restaurant with lots of sauce and protein options. The staff was super nice and answered all my question even letting me taste new sauces! I explained I was getting something for lunch the next day and the guy suggested I box things differently to ensure freshness. Super accommodating!!! I came here for Monday lunch. Upon arrival, there were no customers there. I was greeted by a kind employee there and ordered a make your own sushi bowl. The selections had plenty to choose from, and I notice there were few selections which are Korean sides; like kimchi and pickled radish. Despite the Korean twist in a Hawaiian poke bowl cuisine, I absolutely enjoyed it and definitely comparable to other chain poke places around here as I do believe they have a larger selection here. I ordered a matcha milk tea with boba to go along with the meal. The drink was excellent as well! The place looked new still, like it was just opened a month ago. If you are looking for THE BEST poke and milk tea in the Friendswood, League City, Alvin, Webster, Clear lake, Seabrook, Kemah, Pearland & Dickinson, THIS is the place to go. Kinda a hidden gem, but so SOOO worth it! I've never had the option to choose the tuna in the Poké bowl as either raw, grilled, or sautéed they also add a scoop of cream cheese and I have never had that in a bowl before. It has changed my life! It's like I have suddenly begun to see colors after seeing only in black-and-white for so long. Now, I can never order from another place again. The staff is very thorough and lightening fast. Another amazing thing about Poke Chef is that it is so quiet and relaxing, so a great place to read or catch up on some work emails or school assignments. It wasn't all that great , I got a sushi burrito the Hawaiian to be exact and it wasn't good the ingredients wasn't fresh it felt kinda weird I spent 25$ for a burrito and a milk tea which wasn't that great either maybe their poke bowls are better but I wouldn't come here again read more

I had zero clue this place existed, mainly because when I am home, I make food at home and on weekends I am at my home in Montrose; so I never really venture out in the CL and LC anymore other than for work. It was Sunday, I just got home and I was hungry but the husband was not. So, I wanted something tasty and fresh, but not a salad. I found this place on Uber Eats, and I am not disappointed at all! I ordered the CYOB with the romaine and spring mix (I know, I just said I did not want a salad in the paragraph above), spicy salmon & cooked shrimp, and a bunch of mix ins with the pickled ginger, seaweed salad, green onion and volcano crisps. I gave this info not only to you but also so I can remember what I got for the future. :) OMG, this was literally one of the best poke bowls I have ever had. Spicy, tasty and not overly filling. The store is located in the middle of a bunch of super big stores like staples so super easy to hang around once eating the food and portion is pretty decent and the flavor is good unless told them east on the sauce it's a little salty The staff are nice and with patience the store is organized and pretty clean the service is good read more

We are poke obsessed and once we saw there was a new poke place open in Clear Lake we headed there to try it. This is the third location of Poke Chef (the others are in the Woodlands and Humble). What stood out, was the variety and amount of toppings they add to their bowls. They have toppings such as kimchi and cream cheese (without an up charge). They also have many non-traditional protein options like shrimp tempura, steak, and BBQ eel. They are generous with their portions and we left feeling full and happy. We will be back! read more

I've only ordered take out from here and it's never failed me! The rep river bowl was so filling and I could cut back on the crispy noodles. I tried the sushi burrito the first time I was there and the filling was busting at the seams and it was enough for 2 meals. read more

My first time here was great! I wanted to try a new place since I always go to Pokeworks or OkiiPoki and the reviews for Poke Chef did not disappoint. The restaurant is spaceous and very clean. The young man in the front was nice and answered all the questions I had. Since it was my first time, I was unsure what all they had so I looked at the online menu before going in. Some of the online menu items were not available and the young man explained that theyre only available at the other locations. Over all I enjoyed my bowl! The shrimp tempura was so crispy and amazing. They have alot of choices and different ones you dont see in other poke spots like the Ika salad and the volcano crunch. The quality of everything from the protien, the rice and even the BOWL was fantatic! The bowl is heavy duty plastic not like the flimsy other poke bowls and the lid is air tight. I will 100% reuse this togo container. The only thing I would do next time I come in is ask for heavier sauce, I was unaware of the amount of sauce they put in? So it was a bit dry for my liking after I mixed everything else in. Other than that, the seaweed packets are 2.50 each which steep in my opinion. I hate to say I was not impressed with the quality or service of this place. The woman making my bowl was speaking so low and behind a mask, I had to ask her to repeat literally everything she said, it was very annoying. Had a few chewy parts in my tuna cubes, anyone whose had to chew cartilage before knows this is not the most pleasant experience. The base option I chose was sushi rice but I don't believe it was as sushi rice is seasoned but this just taste like regular white rice. I will say I liked the choices for toppings and the variety of sauces and drizzles. I will give this place another chance as it is close to my house and I'm a big fan of poke. read more

So glad they opened up a closer location to me! I was driving over an hour to the original Poke Chef in the Woodlands as quality and taste has been consistent since they've opened. I have been here about 3 or 4 times so far. Ever feel like you just cant get enough sushi? Thats how I feel sometimes so this is the perfect place to get that sushi fix. The Sushi burrito is loaded with an assortment of proteins, veggies and toppings. You can create your own or order from recommended selections. There are multiple sauces for your burrito or rice bowl and if your not a fan of raw there are cooked options and you can request your salmon be grilled. The environment is casual, its the kind of place to eat and run, cafeteria style. There is also an outside sitting area. Service has been consistantly good. Love this place, will continue to make it a regular stop during the week. read more

The avocado wasn't brown but seemed like there was an additive they added to keep it from visually spoiling. It kind of ruined the experience of the bowl, but I just separated it from the rest of my bowl.

Compared to others all you can eat, the menu doesn't have much variety however the food quality is great and the service is amazing. Almost as if they watered it down somehow. The garlic shrimp was also very salty. Again, the quality of food has changed tremendously and I no longer recommend this place.
