    MEDIUM Poke
    Michelle N.

Craving poke and wanted to try a new place so here we are! I got the Medium Poke Bowl with White Rice, Salmon and Spicy Tuna, Flavors (Classic Spicy, Spicy Mayo, and Yuzu Ponzu), and Toppings (Cilantro, Red Onion, Sweet Corn, Seaweed Salad, Scallion, Masago, Sesame Seeds, Sesame Oil, Crispy Onions, and Furikake). It was good, but definitely missing the flavors I'm usually drawn to. The chips on my boyfriend's bowl were pretty stale so we were disappointed about that. Otherwise, this was a great quick poke spot!

I'm an avid poke eater. Unfortunately this place does not compare to other poke places around town. If you have never had poke before or you are from out of town then it wouldn't be an issue. But when you have 5-6 places within 15 minutes of each other and you are a local, it matters in this economy. The price is higher and the bowls are smaller. Their avocado is extra but 1/2 the other places are as well. No scallops on the menu which is a personal favorite. The taste is good. Fresh. Flavorful. The serving size of the protein scoops was positive. They didn't skimp like some places do. I like that they have the fried garlic. Some places don't offer that. Service was friendly and attentive. Location is clean and modern.

When looking for a healthy food option, you can't go wrong with a solid poke spot. Poke2Grill had a lot of variety of veggies, sauces, and toppings. Went here on Sunday close to noon and it wasn't busy. Plenty of seating and parking in a large plaza available. Restroom was also available and very clean. American Express was accepted here. Ordering process was incredibly easy. They have a little intercom speaker which helps projects the staff's voice. All ingredients had clear labels near them as well. Very efficient! Photo represents a large, which is 4 scoops of protein (salmon and crab meat). Base was half nacho chips and brown rice. This was more than enough for two people to get full! Love the spot and would come back.

My quest for a favorite poke spot continues! I was picking up some groceries at Sprouts nearby, and opted to pick up some bundt cakes from Nothing Bundt Cakes that just opened up next door when I noticed this new poke spot. I guess it's been here since Winter 2025 - but I never noticed it since it's on the quiet side of this giant strip mall. Anyway... since I already had groceries from Sprouts - I didn't want my food to spoil by driving to my current poke go-to spot (Poke Haus off Beach/Westminster) - so figured I'd give Poke2Grill a try. Ignoring the empty dining room on a Saturday evening - I ventured in to check it out. The friendly gal that greeted me was pleasant. I mentioned that I've never been there before - and she responded that they were sorta like a Chipotle, but for poke. Anyway, I opted for a Medium Poke Bowl with white rice. Protein was all salmon - got my usual toppings. Knocking off a star because crab meat counts as one of your proteins here - I've never been to a poke spot where crab meat counts as a protein. So of course, I opted against it. Avocado is extra here (both crab meat and avocado is free at Poke Haus - my current poke go-to spot that I would've gone to if I didn't have perishable groceries from Sprouts). Total was $19.39 including 15% tip. I took off another star because the white rice was hard, dry, and clumpy. OMG - the one thing that kills a poke bowl for me is dry rice. Poke rice shouldn't be hard, dry and clumpy. It should be soft, moist and fluffy. There wasn't any part of the rice that tasted fresh in that bowl. The amount of salmon (three scoops/Medium bowl) seemed smaller than medium poke bowls from other poke spots in the area. There is a spacious dining room, and plenty of parking. As mentioned, this is on the quiet side of the Sprouts shopping center, so less vehicle traffic here as well. While the bowl wasn't absolutely inedible - the dry, clumpy white rice, extra charge for what you get at most other poke places for free (crab meat) was a dealbreaker for me. At the same price as Poke Haus, I'd just go out of my way to drive over there (and deal with their messy parking lot) than visit here again. At least I was able to check this spot off my "to-visit" list, since I was curious when I first saw it while picking up bundt cake next door, and would've appreciated a new poke spot to go to near home.

Half & half white rice + salad with salmon, tuna, albacore with every veggie on it + all the garnishes EXCEPT ginger and hot cheetos!

Kiera knows what's uppp with the selections! She got me right with the classic and creamy cilantro sauce!!! The bowl is a decent size after an hour gym session. The vibes here are so cute, upbeat, vibrant, and really caters to all ages. And service was awesome. Kiera was really accommodating and really listened to what I wanted and delivered! 10/10 will come back

Really fresh ingredients, and they're great quality for the price point. I really appreciate the cleanliness and ambiance too, since they have a more contemporary aesthetic to the place. The great service and friendly smile is absolutely appreciated too!

The food it's amazing and the quality of the fish fresh, this is my first time trying and and definitely did not disappoint, on this hot weather a refreshing bite it's the best, also the service it's great, they had a few minutes to open and they let me come in, I will recommend this to friends and family

Craving poke?!? I found the spot! Thank you to Daniel for making the poke bowl on point. There is a large variety of choices to make the best poke bowl. The fish is so fresh which is most important part! So much parking so it won't be a problem yay! Thanks for a wonderful dinner! (:

Sooooo good skip the sushi date !!! Enjoy on a hot or cold day dont skip. Bowl is fresh, flavorful and fast service !

Employee was very nice accommodating. I got the large (18.95) it came with 4 scoops. I felt like they gave a good amount. I got a free miso soup for writing a review. At first I thought the miso soup was a little bland but over the course of the meal I like it more and more and he'll like it complimented the bowl very well.

Great customer service and the seafood is fresh! Also, the place is very clean as well.

It works just like any other Build-your-own Poke Bowl spot. Assembly line-style with the employee on one side and you're on the other side of the glass picking out how to dress up your poke bowl. Employees are friendly, prompt, and efficient. Bases are white rice, brown rice, salad, broccoli - the white rice here is pretty solid - moist and fluffy - not dry or old like other spots. You get your choices of up to 6 sides - I picked spicy crabmeat, regular crabmeat, seaweed salad, avocado (first scoop free), mango and pineapple. Choice of protein - pricing based by # of scoops: 2 @ $16, 3 @ $18, 5 @ $21. I got my usual 3x Salmon. The fish here is fresh, does not carry any smell, didn't taste slimy or frozen. Sauces - I went with my usual mix of sesame oil and spicy mayo. Toppings - First scoop of masago is free, and a dash of green onions completed my bowl for me. Everything tasted fresh - and when you consider that what sets the price is the # of scoops of protein - it's a pretty good deal considering the base and everything else is normal serving scoops. Lots of seating both inside the restaurant and in the outdoors dining area. I just took my order back to my hotel. Tons of free parking alongside the food court, near El Torito. The only downside is their "revamped" Rewards system. Based on the previous reviews, it used to be a punch-type system where you get the 10th bowl free. This is how a lot of the other Poke bowl spots I've gone to work. The new system really works against you. You get 1 point for every $14 or so spent - and 24 points gets you $10 off. My medium poke bowl with tax and tip came out to $20.51 - and yes, I only got 1 point. In other words, not only do you not get a free bowl even after buying over double the number of bowls needed to previously get a free bowl, but once you hit 24 points - you only get $10 off. Pretty pathetic, hence the reason I knocked off a star.

Of course we had to try it‼ It was my first time trying a poke bowl, and the ordering style is similar to Chipotle. I chose a medium bowl for $15.5, which included 3 choices of fish. Since I'm doing keto, I picked salad as the base, with salmon, tuna, and shrimp. Everything tasted fresh and high quality. Their Japanese tofu soup was only $2.5 with unlimited refills, which felt like a great deal too. Honestly, I've passed by this place so many times before because it looks pretty low-key from the outside... but thanks to my picky eater leading the way, we accidentally discovered a hidden gem.

Their service tuna quality is also a little different and seems to be lower quality tuna. Their service has also been declining but tonight was the worst, especially the young lady that was working at 8 pm, Wednesday night on 7/29/26. She tried to stretch one scoop of salad into two medium salads. When I asked if she had more salad, she showed typical teen age attitude and she finally relented and asked for more salad. When she scooped the tuna, half of it didn't make it into the bowl and when I asked if she could add some tuna, she gave more attitude. She offered to take some tuna from the first bowl to add to the second bowl. Maybe she was having a bad day or maybe she should just get a different job...she's certainly not made for this one. From the start, the service was excellent and easily one of the highlights of our visit. The cashier was exceptionally kind and even apologized for the wait, generously applying his employee discount to our order to make up for it. Despite the initial delay, our food was ready within 10 minutes. **Spam Brûlée Musubi: 5/5** Nestled between layers of freshly steamed rice, the grilled spam was coated in a glossy teriyaki-style glaze. Creamy kimchi aioli was drizzled on top, while the brûléed brown sugar formed a thin caramelized crust that added a pleasant sweetness and delicate crunch with each bite. It was so good that we ended up getting a second order. **Hot Kimchi Butter Katsu Chicken Sandwich: 5/5** This sandwich featured incredibly crispy panko-fried chicken that remained tender and juicy beneath its golden crust, smothered in hot kimchi butter that provided a subtle acidity and gentle heat. A touch of brûléed brown sugar introduced a sweet contrast to the savory fried chicken, while the kimchi aioli and macaroni salad brought a mellow creaminess that balanced its richness. Rounding out the sandwich was the Hawaiian bun, which was soft and moist yet nicely toasted on the exterior. **Hot Kimchi Butter Katsu Chicken & Katsu Shrimp Mixed Plate: 5/5** The mixed plate was another standout, combining their signature chopped katsu chicken with lightly battered shrimp drenched in hot kimchi butter. The shrimp had a light crispness that gave way to a succulent, snappy bite, while the sauce delivered a bold, umami-forward flavor. Accompanying the proteins were rice and their house-made macaroni salad, which incorporated shredded tuna and mashed hard-boiled eggs into a mayonnaise-based dressing finished with a sprinkle of paprika. These additions elevated an otherwise unassuming side with unexpected depth and complexity. Between the outstanding hospitality and impressive execution, Shootz exceeded expectations across the board, earning its place as my go-to whenever I'm at Rodeo 39.
