    Large poke bowl
    Kim T.

First time trying out this place since project poke in fountain valley already closed down. Honestly, I'm very happy and satisfied with how the portion and quality met all my expectations! It was a lot of food, but still worth it cuz I ate half for lunch and the other half for dinner. The store is located right around the corner where walgreens is. Very spacious and welcoming. There are a few tables to sit at and enjoy your meal. Overall, I give this place a 10/10

Another entry to my quest to find the perfect Poke spot in Orange County! If it wasn't for the crappy parking situation, Poke Haus would be my favorite poke bowl spot!!!! They've been around for awhile, but I only had the opportunity to check them out this past week! My first visit was Monday night - I believe - followed by my most recent visit a few days later this past Thursday. What really sets Poke Haus apart from other poke spots is the base options - in addition to your usual go-tos like white rice, brown rice, salad, Poke Haus also offers Somen noodles. Which is served cold - kinda like Japanese soba noodles - but reminds me more of bun (Vietnamese vermicelli noodles). This is a HUGE plus. Sometimes the white rice at poke spots isn't fresh - so it ends up dry and hard. Don't have to worry about that with somen noodles. They are almost the perfect base for poke bowls that I can think of. Portion sizes are great, regardless of whether you get the Small, Medium, or Large (which is enough for two people). Your pick of sauces including my favorites: sesame oil and spicy mayo. Toppings - here's another plus - Poke Haus does not charge extra for your first serving of avocado or masago - most places charge for avocado. There is a fully stocked drinks refrigerator right by the checkout area. Service is awesome - friendly, prompt and efficient. They acknowledged our long wait when I came during the lunch rush on Thursday. There isn't a lot of seating inside - mainly more of a grab and go sorta spot. Parking is messy. It's in a tiny Walgreens parking lot with parking spaces super close to each other, stalls that are too small, and to top all of that - Westminster drivers. Just be on guard and don't assume you've got right of way in this lot cuz driving etiquette goes out the window. Check out my yummy photos!

Poke Haus is a real neighborhood treasure! The service is always fast and friendly in a fresh, clean atmosphere. One thing that makes Poke Haus stand out is the freshness of the fish. Other places can have that refrigerated or frozen taste, but Poke Haus has the most delicious poke I've ever had anywhere!! My go to is the medium bowl. i Prefer a light serving of somen noodles, salmon, tuna, avocado, cucumber, masago, fried garlic, and the house sauce and sesame oil, yum! If you want poke that is always fresh and delicious, check out this hidden gem on Westminster and Beach Blvd. Enjoy!

This was my favorite poke place growing up, so I had to come here before leaving OC. What o really liked about this place was that it's the only poke place I know that offers scallop and the shoyu is the best ever. The sauce marinates around the fish perfectly and the portions are huge!

Great portion sizes and plenty variety of add ons for poke bowl. They have fried shallots fried onions, two different versions of imitation crab meat, and even pineapple. And when you get the sauce in the bowl, they give you just enough so it's not salty.

Came in on a Tuesday lunch during my break time. First time here and it's cute and small and service was friendly and nice. I got the medium 3 scoop protein ( 2 salmon and 1 scallop). The protein was yummy! I added all the toppings except pineapple, seaweed salad, cucumber, and corn. For my sauce I did spicy mayo and sesame oil. I added an extra scoop of spicy crab meat (an additional cost, which I didn't mind because I love the crab meat). Overall I give this place 4 stars. Food was tasty, and I would come back here during my lunch break.

Consistent poke spot + easy parking and small interior so works more as a to-go spot + service was good. The fish is good and avocado is not an extra cost so you can get as many toppings as you want! I deducted a star because after eating this I had a mini stomachache but would still come back lol.

medium salmon poke with spicy mayo & tortilla chips only! toppings: cilantro, seaweed, avocado, ginger, cucumbers, masago, and crabmeat!!
    Cat N.

This is still my top poke place in oc because of the variety of toppings and quality of fish. I always get a small or medium size but with only tortilla chips because that's the best way to eat it! They have a couple fish choices which taste fresh as can be along with many toppings to choose from like crabmeat(regular & spicy), cucumbers, seaweed salad, corn, avocado, onions, edamame, cilantro, masago, ginger, pineapple, sesame seeds.. the list goes on etc. Unfortunately, the prices went up so a small is like $15/$16 now but honestly for everything they give you & quality - it's totally worth it! They have refrigerated drinks & fountain drinks next to the self-help table where they have utensils. It's a medium sized store with a few tables to sit at so I'd say take it togo if it's busy.

This poke spot is solid! I went here during my lunch break and it was hidden from sight until you search it. The ambiance is a typical poke haus/ chipotle style bar that you can see when you walked in. The other door is broken so use the other one towards the left lol. The server is pretty friendly, accommodating, and delighted to talk with, so give her a raised lol. I ordered their poke bowl obviously. I ordered their medium size bowl, which contains 3 protein meats. I got their spicy tuna, spicy salmon, and octopus. It was good and I was bloated afterwards lol. The server fully loaded my ingredients to the tee, so the bowl is quite full and hearty. They really emphasized their portion size here and even more. Overall, I'll go back here again in my lunch break :)

Great portions here and affordable. The fish pieces are large too. A good spot to get a quick Togo if you're craving something refreshing

Got a special promotion on uber for 2 medium bowls so i bought 2 for $20. The portion is very generous for a medium bowl, they definitely don't skimp on the fish, the sauce is flavorful and delicious. Other toppings r loaded in the bowl as seen in the picture. The service girl was very nice and accommodating. Parking is a bit weird and limited due to many other businesses in the strip. Still, found my new go to place for poke. Thank you will be back again! 8.5/10

One of the best poke in town. Fresh cuts of fish, large portion ( this is the medium with 2 scoops) i like to go with the half brown rice half salad base. Fast and friendly service.

    Tiffany N.

Small poke shop on Westminster BLVD, that serves just poke. They have the essentials but not all of the toppings you'd get at bigger poke places. I really liked the customer service here as they were attentive, fast, and did not skimp on anything I asked for. Moderate pricing and the poke was good! Always a plus to me if I'm allowed to mix my sauces.

What's going on? I've been trying to order from them since last week. Every time I call, no one is answering. Anyone know why? Are they closed temporarily or for good? Their hours aren't updated.

hi! they put a sign that one of their employees got covid ☹️ so theyre following cdc guidelines and temporarily closed. i called them today cuz i wanted poke too but it still seems theyre not picking up. hope this helps :)

I went by Saturday and they are closed because some that worked there caught COVID. The sign said closed until they thoroughly cleaned and have their ppl tested. Does anyone know if they are opened yet? I have called and no answer still.

They are reopen on Wednesday 9/23.

It works just like any other Build-your-own Poke Bowl spot. Assembly line-style with the employee on one side and you're on the other side of the glass picking out how to dress up your poke bowl. Employees are friendly, prompt, and efficient. Bases are white rice, brown rice, salad, broccoli - the white rice here is pretty solid - moist and fluffy - not dry or old like other spots. You get your choices of up to 6 sides - I picked spicy crabmeat, regular crabmeat, seaweed salad, avocado (first scoop free), mango and pineapple. Choice of protein - pricing based by # of scoops: 2 @ $16, 3 @ $18, 5 @ $21. I got my usual 3x Salmon. The fish here is fresh, does not carry any smell, didn't taste slimy or frozen. Sauces - I went with my usual mix of sesame oil and spicy mayo. Toppings - First scoop of masago is free, and a dash of green onions completed my bowl for me. Everything tasted fresh - and when you consider that what sets the price is the # of scoops of protein - it's a pretty good deal considering the base and everything else is normal serving scoops. Lots of seating both inside the restaurant and in the outdoors dining area. I just took my order back to my hotel. Tons of free parking alongside the food court, near El Torito. The only downside is their "revamped" Rewards system. Based on the previous reviews, it used to be a punch-type system where you get the 10th bowl free. This is how a lot of the other Poke bowl spots I've gone to work. The new system really works against you. You get 1 point for every $14 or so spent - and 24 points gets you $10 off. My medium poke bowl with tax and tip came out to $20.51 - and yes, I only got 1 point. In other words, not only do you not get a free bowl even after buying over double the number of bowls needed to previously get a free bowl, but once you hit 24 points - you only get $10 off. Pretty pathetic, hence the reason I knocked off a star.

He specifically requested this place As a mom, I was honestly shocked -- he's been a picky eater since he was little, so finding something he actually loves is rare. Of course we had to try it‼ It was my first time trying a poke bowl, and the ordering style is similar to Chipotle. I chose a medium bowl for $15.5, which included 3 choices of fish. Since I'm doing keto, I picked salad as the base, with salmon, tuna, and shrimp. Everything tasted fresh and high quality. Their Japanese tofu soup was only $2.5 with unlimited refills, which felt like a great deal too. Honestly, I've passed by this place so many times before because it looks pretty low-key from the outside... but thanks to my picky eater leading the way, we accidentally discovered a hidden gem.

Their service tuna quality is also a little different and seems to be lower quality tuna. Their service has also been declining but tonight was the worst, especially the young lady that was working at 8 pm, Wednesday night on 7/29/26. She tried to stretch one scoop of salad into two medium salads. When I asked if she had more salad, she showed typical teen age attitude and she finally relented and asked for more salad. When she scooped the tuna, half of it didn't make it into the bowl and when I asked if she could add some tuna, she gave more attitude. She offered to take some tuna from the first bowl to add to the second bowl. Maybe she was having a bad day or maybe she should just get a different job...she's certainly not made for this one. Let's hope this is an off day for Pokinometry and their than quality and service improves.

From the start, the service was excellent and easily one of the highlights of our visit. The cashier was exceptionally kind and even apologized for the wait, generously applying his employee discount to our order to make up for it. Despite the initial delay, our food was ready within 10 minutes. **Spam Brûlée Musubi: 5/5** Nestled between layers of freshly steamed rice, the grilled spam was coated in a glossy teriyaki-style glaze. Creamy kimchi aioli was drizzled on top, while the brûléed brown sugar formed a thin caramelized crust that added a pleasant sweetness and delicate crunch with each bite. It was so good that we ended up getting a second order. **Hot Kimchi Butter Katsu Chicken Sandwich: 5/5** This sandwich featured incredibly crispy panko-fried chicken that remained tender and juicy beneath its golden crust, smothered in hot kimchi butter that provided a subtle acidity and gentle heat. A touch of brûléed brown sugar introduced a sweet contrast to the savory fried chicken, while the kimchi aioli and macaroni salad brought a mellow creaminess that balanced its richness. Rounding out the sandwich was the Hawaiian bun, which was soft and moist yet nicely toasted on the exterior. **Hot Kimchi Butter Katsu Chicken & Katsu Shrimp Mixed Plate: 5/5** The mixed plate was another standout, combining their signature chopped katsu chicken with lightly battered shrimp drenched in hot kimchi butter. The shrimp had a light crispness that gave way to a succulent, snappy bite, while the sauce delivered a bold, umami-forward flavor. Accompanying the proteins were rice and their house-made macaroni salad, which incorporated shredded tuna and mashed hard-boiled eggs into a mayonnaise-based dressing finished with a sprinkle of paprika. These additions elevated an otherwise unassuming side with unexpected depth and complexity. Between the outstanding hospitality and impressive execution, Shootz exceeded expectations across the board, earning its place as my go-to whenever I'm at Rodeo 39.
