Another entry to my quest to find the perfect Poke spot in Orange County! If it wasn't for the crappy parking situation, Poke Haus would be my favorite poke bowl spot!!!! They've been around for awhile, but I only had the opportunity to check them out this past week! My first visit was Monday night - I believe - followed by my most recent visit a few days later this past Thursday. What really sets Poke Haus apart from other poke spots is the base options - in addition to your usual go-tos like white rice, brown rice, salad, Poke Haus also offers Somen noodles. Which is served cold - kinda like Japanese soba noodles - but reminds me more of bun (Vietnamese vermicelli noodles). This is a HUGE plus. Sometimes the white rice at poke spots isn't fresh - so it ends up dry and hard. Don't have to worry about that with somen noodles. They are almost the perfect base for poke bowls that I can think of. Portion sizes are great, regardless of whether you get the Small, Medium, or Large (which is enough for two people). Your pick of sauces including my favorites: sesame oil and spicy mayo. Toppings - here's another plus - Poke Haus does not charge extra for your first serving of avocado or masago - most places charge for avocado. There is a fully stocked drinks refrigerator right by the checkout area. Service is awesome - friendly, prompt and efficient. They acknowledged our long wait when I came during the lunch rush on Thursday. There isn't a lot of seating inside - mainly more of a grab and go sorta spot. Parking is messy. It's in a tiny Walgreens parking lot with parking spaces super close to each other, stalls that are too small, and to top all of that - Westminster drivers. I ordered to pick up on Uber Eats and ate in the restaurant: my typical poke order (included at the end): But when I got the food the entire bowl was room temp and the fish wasn't cold. Pretty strange since I got there right when my order was supposed to be ready. And it just didn't taste right, usually poke just has that delicious combinations of flavor but for what I ordered everything tasted mild without much flavor and maybe the temperature of the food played into it. It's strange because poke is one of my favorite foods and I'm not sure if I've ever not liked a bowl. Maybe I'll give it another shot but first time here and it just wasn't great. Got dinner at Poke Haus, a local favorite for poke, and it definitely lived up to the reputation. I ordered a large bowl with a brown rice base, all the toppings, three scoops of salmon and two scoops of tuna, plus spicy mayo and ponzu. Finished it off with furikake and sesame seeds. The portion of fish was generous, and even with all the extras, nothing felt overwhelming. Everything balanced really well, which is not always easy to pull off with fully loaded poke bowls. The staff were friendly, helpful, and accurate while handling my three different orders, which I appreciated. The space itself is pretty simple with limited seating, but it works fine for a quick bite or takeout. I love ordering UberEats from this place and it's in my top 2 poke places, but I'm sad they missed a few items and gave me rice instead of Somen Noodles. I think that's the one I look forward to the most, so it's unfortunate they mixed it up. They also missed my cilantro, massage, and pickled radish. When you order on UberEats with UberOne, you get buy one get one free, so to see it happen twice is very disappointing. Consistent poke spot + easy parking and small interior so works more as a to-go spot + service was good. The fish is good and avocado is not an extra cost so you can get as many toppings as you want! Came in on a Tuesday lunch during my break time. First time here and it's cute and small and service was friendly and nice. I got the medium 3 scoop protein ( 2 salmon and 1 scallop). The protein was yummy! I added all the toppings except pineapple, seaweed salad, cucumber, and corn. For my sauce I did spicy mayo and sesame oil. I added an extra scoop of spicy crab meat (an additional cost, which I didn't mind because I love the crab meat). Overall I give this place 4 stars. Shout out to Poke Haus. Went back several times and the Poke was good and fresh. I got a medium bowl which comes with two proteins (fishes or tofu) choice. I got scallops and two scoops of salmon. For the sauces, I got the Ponzu sauce with the Haus sauce and no chilli oil. I like that avacado is free here. I opted for everything on my bowl and it was filled up with deliciousness. This is still my top poke place in oc because of the variety of toppings and quality of fish. I always get a small or medium size but with only tortilla chips because that's the best way to eat it! They have a couple fish choices which taste fresh as can be along with many toppings to choose from like crabmeat(regular & spicy), cucumbers, seaweed salad, corn, avocado, onions, edamame, cilantro, masago, ginger, pineapple, sesame seeds.. the list goes on etc. Unfortunately, the prices went up so a small is like $15/$16 now but honestly for everything they give you & quality - it's totally worth it! This poke spot is solid! I went here during my lunch break and it was hidden from sight until you search it. The ambiance is a typical poke haus/ chipotle style bar that you can see when you walked in. The other door is broken so use the other one towards the left lol. The server is pretty friendly, accommodating, and delighted to talk with, so give her a raised lol. I ordered their poke bowl obviously. I ordered their medium size bowl, which contains 3 protein meats. I got their spicy tuna, spicy salmon, and octopus. It was good and I was bloated afterwards lol. The server fully loaded my ingredients to the tee, so the bowl is quite full and hearty. They really emphasized their portion size here and even more. Got a special promotion on uber for 2 medium bowls so i bought 2 for $20. The portion is very generous for a medium bowl, they definitely don't skimp on the fish, the sauce is flavorful and delicious. Other toppings r loaded in the bowl as seen in the picture. The service girl was very nice and accommodating. Parking is a bit weird and limited due to many other businesses in the strip. Still, found my new go to place for poke. Have been here since high school and is always my "safe" poke spot if I am ever craving it. The fish always tastes fresh and the toppings really bring everything together. Portions are huge! And service is always good. I will say though last time I was here, the sauces were a bit lacking. Tasted a tad bland but this is the first time I've had this issue so I still think it's one of my favorite spots. It is not my number one all time but it's definitely up there. I lived in Westminster for seven years and tried quite a few poke places in the area, and this one always stood out. Avocado is included (in small amounts, but still--rare and welcome). Whether I'm grabbing a bowl for lunch or dinner, it never disappoints. I've had poke everywhere from Seattle with fresh-caught salmon to Hawaii with fresh tuna, and honestly, Poke Haus is up there with the best of them. While I haven't dined in much, I've ordered from here countless times over the years, and the quality and flavor have remained consistent and delicious. There is a bit of seating both inside and outside, but this isn't really a place you come for ambience--it's a spot you come for really great poke I've definitely converted all my friends into fans of this place. As many have mentioned the slice of avocado is a nice touch as well which you don't get at some poke places. I ordered for takeout and the pickup was smooth. The fish quality is INCREDIBLE here. It's so fresh and the fish melts in your mouth (or as much as the fish in Poke can anyway). The portions were also very large besides the one slice of avocado, though I didn't mind much because it didn't cost extra. Keep in mind that there are grooves in the plate that make the bowl look bigger than it actually is, but it is still a lot of food regardless. This poke place is located on Westminster and beach. Next to where Mugs is. I pass by this cross street many times but never got around to it. Until now. Parking is limited...especially during their peak hours Those who are fan of poke so there's not much to say except what's different about this. For starters: there is a regular (3 scoops) and large (5 scoops). You pick a size, base, protein and toppings and that's it. What makes this different is that you can have no charge on avacado, beats and pineapple on your poke. The spiciest sauce is the spicy original but it's not spicy if you are spicy lover. They are short staff so at least they are courteous to put a sign so customers can be patient about their order Here are negatives: - the large is no better than a regular since they are stuffing all into one. However, I notice that some customers have their poke put in a togo container. I order the large and all my stuff is shove into regular bowl. Some order a regular and their stuff put in that container. Seriously? - just because it's slow doesn't mean you have to lie that you put fried stuff onto the poke. I ask if the fried stuff was put in their. The girl who help me said it's all in their. When I was eating, none of it is their. It's first and last time here.
