He specifically requested this place As a mom, I was honestly shocked -- he's been a picky eater since he was little, so finding something he actually loves is rare. Of course we had to try it‼ It was my first time trying a poke bowl, and the ordering style is similar to Chipotle. I chose a medium bowl for $15.5, which included 3 choices of fish. Since I'm doing keto, I picked salad as the base, with salmon, tuna, and shrimp. Everything tasted fresh and high quality. Their Japanese tofu soup was only $2.5 with unlimited refills, which felt like a great deal too. Not sure what's happened to Pokinometry but it has been steadily declining over the last 11 years. Shrinkflation is certainly reflected in the amount of product that they give and in the price. Their service tuna quality is also a little different and seems to be lower quality tuna. Their service has also been declining but tonight was the worst, especially the young lady that was working at 8 pm, Wednesday night on 7/29/26. She tried to stretch one scoop of salad into two medium salads. When I asked if she had more salad, she showed typical teen age attitude and she finally relented and asked for more salad. When she scooped the tuna, half of it didn't make it into the bowl and when I asked if she could add some tuna, she gave more attitude. She offered to take some tuna from the first bowl to add to the second bowl. Maybe she was having a bad day or maybe she should just get a different job...she's certainly not made for this one. Let's hope this is an off day for Pokinometry and their than quality and service improves. read more

This has been my local poke spot for about 10 years. It's the one that's closest to my house. It's usually pretty solid, not the best I've had, but solid. Today, I went in at lunch time and ordered two bowls, each with half white rice and half brown rice. The young lady behind the counter let me know that they couldn't do that. When I asked her why, she said that it was their policy. She is not aware that I have done this very thing at this very restaurant many times before, but that's beside the point. It doesn't make any sense from a business perspective. It isn't a cost issue. I'm not trying to get anything extra without paying for it. I'm hungry and I'm in the mood to spend some of my hard-earned money on a meal that I would like to enjoy. I have neither the time nor the energy to try to convince the employee at the counter that not only is their company's "policy" nonsensical, but also that it interferes with how much I will enjoy the meal I just left. I need to start this review by telling anyone reading this and the other reviews to ignore all old positive reviews and hype you've heard. This is not the same place anymore. I can't even put into words how bad it is now, but I'm definitely going to try. I hardly ever write reviews and it's my fault for repeatedly going back, but my experience today compelled me to write a rant and also to never return. I'm a local, and Pokinometry is a very short drive away from where I live. It used to be awesome for a long time, and now it's absolutely terrible. The first thing you'll notice when you walk up to the counter is that the high school kids that they continuously seem to hire have zero social skills. They don't speak. They just stare at you. They don't smile, and they seem miserable. If they're helping someone else, you'll never hear a greeting or an "I'll be right with you." They legitimately do not speak. No one has trained them with the basics. This isn't isolated to one or two employees. It's been a trend for years, and having miserable service seems intentional at this point. This is my biggest gripe with the place and you WILL notice it unless you get lucky and get served by one of the older and more tenured employees. You'll more than likely be waiting even if the place is mostly empty because they are slow and oblivious. There used to be 2-3 employees working on the bowls, and now it's almost always one. If another one is wandering around in the background, they never bother to help even when it's busy. When they do start to "help" you, they rush their scoops and somehow drop half the fish between the bins and your bowl. They don't seem to notice or care, and continue on like that's fine. Another recent review pointed this out, so that also seems to be an unisolated incident. The fish bins now look gross and the entire serving area doesn't look clean and orderly. The fish itself doesn't seem to be fresh as I've been noticing boxes of prepackaged/frozen fish out in the open now. I'm not sure if this is a change or if they're not trying to hide it anymore. The napkin/utencil/drink area is also disgusting and the soda fountain doesn't look sanitary. The drinks are always flat, too. Bottom line: the food quality is poor, the service is beyond unacceptable, the prices are crazy for the half scoops you're getting, and it's not a clean place. Avoid. read more

I ordered from here the other night for my son through DoorDash and he was really happy with the food. On my way home tonight he asked if I could grab it for him again, so I went ahead and went in person. The gentleman that was working the station was super polite and was kind enough to help me out as this type of food is not generally the type of food I eat. I showed him the DoorDash order that my son ordered previously and he was kind enough to scroll through and remake what my son had ordered last time. The restaurant itself was very quiet not too many people inside. Seemed like a very serene placed to just enjoy a nice meal. It's on the corner of a very busy street, but you can't hear much of the hustle and bustle outside the doors. The only reason why I didn't give it five stars is because the parking here sucks. Street parking here is very hard to find and not convenient at all because of the housing that surrounds the Plaza along with the ice rink that is just feet away. Terrible customer service by the girls working. They made me feel like an inconvenience for coming in for food. I told the girls it was my first time here, and they weren't welcoming whatsoever. They did not explain anything about the restaurant or the ordering methods to me. The most annoying part of the whole interaction is that they kept chatting with each other as I was trying to order. As for the food, the rice was old and cold. The only redeeming quality about the poke bowl that I got was that the fish and the sauces were yummy. You don't always get a legitimately spicy Spicy Mayo sauce, so it was refreshing to taste the one here. I have a bone to pick about the half/half bases. I asked for half white rice and half wonton chips, because they are both base options. But, for some reason, you can't have those two specific bases together?! There needs to be some fine print on the menu that states this. The cherry on top was how musty the restaurant was. It was hot inside and smelled unappetizing. I feel like I didn't get anything I wanted out of this whole interaction at this establishment. I'll never go back. i used to come here all the time. Today absolutely disgusted me. One of the employees walked into the business from their lunch, walked to the table bar under the menu, and passed out food from a different restaurant. They put on their hat, touching all their hair, and then put on food gloves. They then proceeded to come and take my order. I was so in shock and disgusted because I didn't know where they came from outside and they didn't even bother washing their hands!! It was the weekend before Halloween, so there was a parade and it was a little hard to get to with the road blocked off, but I think on a regular day it would be easy to access. We ordered 4 poke bowls, 3 sushis and 2 miso soups and it came out to about $90 in total. My dad and I actually ate the sushi the next day for breakfast at the park! There is 90 minutes free parking close by this Poke place but read carefully the signs and we were lucky to find a parking spot. We ordered our Pokes and it was interesting that medium and large poke bowls were the same but definitely different by the portion of meat you get. We ordered large and we got large in medium bowl. It was satisfying to see the full bowl but it was hard to controlling the top. We had fun time to eat carefully and be honest we laughed a lot! But it was a mission to complete! The quality was there! The fish was fresh the toppings selections was good...They had dry rice noodle which i got half brown rice and half dry rice noodle. It was interesting that they didn't have tip option on their pose so dont forget cash for their hard working employees. Their were super friendly! They also have sushi rolls and they don't seem to put sauce on them, so make sure to ask if you'd like it! This is my favorite poke place that I compare all other mainland poke concept places to. What I get: Large Bowl with Brown Rice. Cucumbers, Onions, Jalapenos, Imitation Crab, and Avocado. (You can choose 2 between Imitation Crab, Seaweed Salad, and Avocado) 1 scoop of Spicy Tuna on the rice, and 2 scoops of Octopus, and 2 scoops of Yellowtail. Original Spicy Sauce with Dynamite Sauce. Masago, extra Green Onions, and Crispy Garlic. I think their fish quality has gone down a little bit over the years, but it still tastes pretty fresh. The most wonderful thing about the poke here is their sauce, which I find to be the perfect mix of salty, sweet, tangy, spicy, and sesame oily. The main let down here is the service, which I find is typically understaffed with one person making everybody's bowls and ringing everyone up, which can increase your wait time heavily. It's definitely not their fault, and I hope they can get busy enough to add some more hands on the line! Parking is limited to 1 hour street parking and paid parking at a nearby parking structure on the Promenade. I recommend signing up to their 5 stars rewards program with your phone number. It's pretty easy to rack up points to get free bowls and earn discounts on the week of your birthday. read more

I only ordered the small but it was still quite filling so I was quite happy that I didn't get the bigger version. The people inside are very nice snd courteous. They also have art painting in display by a local artist. If you are waiting for your sushi roll to finish, you can check out the paintings. The price is very reasonable for poke. I think my small bowl was only $13. Parking maybe my only issue with this place. There are not many street parking and I heard more food places are popping up nearby so you may need to prep some extra time in case parking is an issue. This has been our go to spot for years! We would happily drive down here for a delicious poke bowl and never disappointed. I'm so happy that they're still around given the surge of new poke businesses in and around the area. Even when they opened a location close to us in Rowland Hts, it was not the same and we continued to trek out to Anaheim store. Can't believe it's been 10yrs since they first opened their store and let me tell you... the last decade has only proven that their business model makes sense. They're one of the few poke spots that do not upcharge you for a scoop of avocado, it's standard with their bowls. They kept it simple and their sauce is just right... I love love love their dynamite sauce and ask for it on the side so I can dip into *chefs kiss* the pricing is right on point and although it has gone up a bit over the years it's not an exorbitant amount - still affordable for a nice bowl of poke. The staff here have always been helpful and friendly!! Ugh I just love this place. My daughter will beg us to take her here now considering we live 50+miles away and we'll happily oblige! This place is honest, generous and amazing with their portions. We stopped here for a mid day break after Disneyland and it was the best thing ever. It's only a five minute drive away and street parking was pretty decent. Amusement park food usually never sits well with me and makes me feel kind of gross after, so finding a nice healthy and clean option was necessary in 90 degree weather. My girlfriend and I both built our own poki bowls with half rice and half salad (highly recommend for hot days) and had generous amounts of yellowtail, tuna, salmon, and octopus. All the ingredients were fresh and nothing smelt or tasted fishy at all. Our stomachs thanked us for the clean and quick meal because we definitely felt the difference the day after with amusement park food in comparison. Aside from the delicious food, the staff were friendly, courteous, and quick. Was bummed when the payment method didn't allow me to tip them. I got a Medium Half brown rice and half salad with Everything (thats including avocado!) I was able to pick 3 Nemo (that's so cute how they named the protein selection that) since I got the Medium and went with salmon, tuna and yellowtail. All were fresh and not stringy like how other places. I got the spicy sauce with lots of extra spicy mayo and a drizzle of the sweet sauce. It has a kick that's for sure but it was delicious.
