Got the pokebap and it was so delicious and fresh!! What a healthy lunch!! I also got the soy sauce and spicy aoli. Which was so delicious to top it all off!!

It was a fast lunch to go. They were helpful in double bagging the food to ensure I didn't end up wearing it on the ride home. Their take on a California roll was loaded with flavor and the bowl format really allowed mixing of flavors. The kimchi was excellent and very spicy. Had plenty for later.

I got the poke bowl with lemon pepper chicken and the chicken was halal! I know chicken at a poke place is not common but I could not help but get it. I don't see halal food readily available in Cbus! Def enjoyed the bowl had it with cucumber, carrots, avocado, scallions. spicy aioli topped with some furikake.

    Spam musubi, so good!!

As a woman born and raised in beautiful Hawai'i, I cannot express how absolutely ecstatic I was to find this place in Dublin, Ohio. Each one of the stars are for one item because it's all I came in for, the spam musubi! I'm no stranger to spam musubi so my hopes were not high for a Midwest poke joint. To my surprise, I was not disappointed. The spam was cooked beautifully, sauce amount and flavor was just right, not overpowering, rice to spam ratio was spot on. I can't speak to anything else on their menu but spam is so frowned on, I had to show it some love! I have seen reviews speaking negatively about prices but poke bowls in Hawai'i are not cheap, so I'm not sure what the price to get many of the ingredients to Ohio is like. I can't imagine it's cost friendly. The restaurant is located in locqted at the Olde Sawmill Square next to Great Clips and Sprint. There is a restroom but due to Covid, it was for employee use only. There are signs on the restaurant entryway stating not to come in if you are sick, and masks are required. Mahalo and all my best to you!

Wow! Ordered on DoorDash and was so pleased. Got the "create your own poke bowl" and customized with poke, salmon, cucumber, carrot, mango, onions, avocado, spicy crab salad, wasabi aioli and sweet soy. Half rice half salad on the bottom. We also ordered the spam musibi (YUM), spicy edamame, and Kani salad. So blown away with the quality. Definitely ordering again.

This place is awesome, the poke was amazing and great to place to sit in and enjoy. I cannot wait to come back and try the other menu items.

    Octopus protein, with all toppings
    Vy D.

I absolutely love poké and this place is one of the top places to go! I love their mango topping and octopus as a protein because these aren't offered at other poké places. The prices are a bit higher and quality is pretty much average and comparable to other poké places around Columbus. I really like the sauces and toppings they offer here because portions seem a bit bigger than other places. There's no WiFi at this location, but they do have plenty of tables and parking for groups, families, or a casual dinner date. If you like seafood and raw fish, I would recommend trying a poké bowl! There are also grocery stores and other restaurants and businesses surrounding the area, which is great! I love going to Kung Fu Tea, down the street or grocery shopping at Kroger, next door after coming here.

First off. GREAT SERVICE. Super friendly staff. Okay now for the food. I made my own bowl island style because I wasn't really hungry but I'm from out of state so I wanted to try it. So no carbs for me!!!! Avocado isn't extra? Wahhhhh. Surprised. My sister got one of their speciality bowls. I believe the pokebap one. Mine was okay. I had a lot better. Maybe my mixture was weird but I doubt it. Doing island style isn't picture worthy though. Looks like I got ripped off because it doesn't fill the entire bowl. But it's only because I don't have rice or salad etc as the base I swear! My sisters was worse than mine. I tried helping her finish because she got full really fast with all the rice (we got spam musubi also). She's not used to eating carbs. So I tried helping her. I wasn't a fan but I was also super full from eating everywhere. Their wasabi doesn't have that kick by the way. So I put a lot with each bite. Get the poke bowl if this is your only option for it. But I do recommend the spam musubi. The musubi, by the look, looks like a whole lot of rice for a thin sliver of spam. And it looked well coated in a sauce. But it was actually really good. The sauce was actually pretty light and just coated the outside. I prefer a tiny bit thicker of spam or a little less rice but almost a good ratio as is already. I wish I would've eaten it fresh because it was freshly made and hot.

    My build-a-bowl starring tuna.

Tried Pokebap finally after seeing it so many times. I think the poke was fine (decently fresh) but I've had better. I also think the value for the money is on the low side. As for product, this place does not pre-marinate the fish; they mix your choice of fish with the sauce(s) of your choice. While this offers flexibility for the restaurant in building bowls in a modular (i.e. Chipotle) fashion, I would have preferred to have the poke pre-marinated; lots more flavor. They do allow you to add various toppings to your bowl/salad/burrito. But some toppings cost extra like avocado, crab stick, wakame (seaweed salad). I don't mind paying more for these extras but the portions are pretty stingy considering you are paying extra. I built my own bowl with tuna mixed with spicy marinade over brown rice and salad. I added onions, edamame, pickled eggplant, mango, cucumber and wakame. The overall flavor was pretty good. The fish was fresh. The ingredients complemented each other. As another Yelper said, the spicy is actually spicy. My only complaint is that for $11 (plus another $1 to add wakame), the portion of poke was on the low side. They include two small scoops in the base entree. I don't know how much this actually is but it looks to be about 3 ounces or so. If you want an extra scoop protein, it costs about $4. This place is okay but as I compare it to other poke joints I've been to outside of the Columbus area, it's not stellar.

First, let me start off by saying that this place has the friendliest food service staff that I've encountered so far in 2017. Which is a good thing, because I'd never been here before and I'm a newbie when it comes to poke. I ended up ordering the specialty Pokebap bowl with all 4 types of proteins (tuna, salmon, yellowtail, and octopus). While the sashimi snob in me will say that I've had better quality raw fish in my days, the quality of the fish certainly beat my expectations for what you can get at a fast food joint in the middle of Ohio for $14. Overall, I have to say that it was delicious. Also, two-thumbs up for the quality of the rice in the bowl! The building itself is clean, modern, and comfortable. Also, they offer free cucumber water to help cleanse your palate. I'll definitely be back!

Very fresh ingredients, great taste, miso soup was very good, something for everyone. Had the Tuna with crab roll and seaweed and edamame, Daughter had the Salmon both were great

My FAVORITE poke place in Columbus. Great portions, high quality fish and vegetables, and a very fair price. It's always my go to when I want something fresh and healthy.

I'm really happy another Poke restaurant has opened up and close to me! The reason I enjoy Poke so much is I had so much of it while I was in Hawaii that I began to miss that taste after leaving and not having that food around till this actually opened up. I got the Pokebap bowl and miso soup both were really good. I got the non-spicy bowl with white rice, Tuna, Salmon, Yellowtail, Octopus, cucumber, crab sticks, roe, edamame and furikake. The price of the bowl was $13 but for the quantity of food provided, you get a large bowl. All of the fish was quality from the Tuna to the Octopus. I liked that the soup station had the options of adding the tofu, green onion, and seaweed. It accompanied the Pokebap bowl well. I was stuffed after both the bowl and soup! Next time I will just get the bowl itself! If your looking for a good Asian fusion/ Hawaiian restaurant look no further than Pokebap!

    Ask the Community - Pokebap

Is this all raw/sushi based seafood or is it also cooked dishes?

No, you can order bowls to include baked fish or tofu.

How busy does it get between 6-7pm (how many people, how long the wait)? Will a family of 5 find a seat and what to order for my kiddos (10, 8, & 5)? Thanks!

Shouldn't be much of a line (if any), and it moves quickly. Also seating shouldn't be an issue.

We spent $230 (w/ tip) and it was worth every penny. Probably the best Japanese restaurant in the city. We passed by this place multiple times on our way elsewhere. We're Mario fans, so the name Yoshi caught our eye, but the cramped strip mall exterior doesn't exactly scream culinary dream. We decided to take a chance, and let me just say--wow. It's an intimate space with just a few tables and an 8-10 seat sushi bar. We didn't have reservations (make one, they fill up fast) but managed to snag seats at the bar. The service immediately stood out. We had better attention here than at some upscale steakhouses--glasses never went empty, and their menu suggestions were spot on. One minor heads-up: at the sushi bar, staff sometimes walk behind you to talk to the chefs, which can be a bit distracting. For starters, we grabbed the gyoza and asked for a standout small plate. They pointed us to the beef tongue. It arrived hot with shredded onions and spicy mustard, delivering a buttery, melt-in-your-mouth tenderness with a deep, beefy richness. The gyoza was equally flawless. Instead of the overly chewy or burnt wrappers you find at most spots, these had a delicate, golden-brown sear with an intensely savory, garlicky umami filling. We paired this with Sayuri sake, a creamy, unfiltered pour that perfectly balanced sweetness with a dry, clean finish. Since we love nigiri, we ordered a spread: tuna, salmon, smoked salmon, sweet shrimp, and Japanese scallop, plus a salmon/avocado roll. The cuts were impeccably sourced and practically dissolved on the tongue. You rarely find this level of consistency. Just a heads up--they prepare it the traditional way, meaning there is a dab of wasabi tucked directly under the fish. We also tried the Wagyu A-5 roll. It's about as "meat and potatoes" as a roll can get: steak, carrots, asparagus, and rice. The seared Wagyu fat melted instantly, creating a decadent, buttery glaze over the crisp vegetables. It's one of those rare foods that genuinely forces you to pause after each bite. At $40, it was 100% worth it. I can't say enough about this experience. Next time, we're leveling up to the fatty tuna and Wagyu experience on their special menu. That's the exact culinary peak we've been looking for, and incredibly, it's tucked inside a suburban strip mall. Absolutely brilliant.
