My personal favorite, though, was the Sesame Ginger Chicken Bowl--I loved the crunch, the hint of ginger, and how everything came together. It was a really satisfying combination. I also tried their wonton soup with tofu, which was flavorful and comforting--definitely a solid option if you're looking for something warm to pair with your meal. Not good at all. The fish smelled fishy and the toppings were slimy. Service was good but the food was overall pretty bad.

We came into the restaurant this afternoon around 1:15pm and specified with the gal that there was a gluten and egg allergy. She proceeded to make the bowl and we left, only to realize she recommended the crab salad which contained mayo. My friend eating the bowl got sick almost instantly. We brought the bowl back and the girl was not apologetic or even concerned that she recommended and served us things that contained egg and gluten. We threw it out and left. She offered to remake the bowls, but at this point it was hard to know if what is recommended would be okay to eat. The tuna looked fine, but the salmon looked kind of like cheese cubes. The sauce itself was good, but they put a lot in the bowl--my rice was pretty soggy. Great food and great service! This is such a cute little spot that I've been meaning to stop by and I'm glad I finally did. I got a small poke bowl with salmon and spam musubi. The portions were decent, I was full after eating half of my bowl. They didn't skimp on the salmon which I appreciate given the price. It's kind of like walking into a Bahama Bucks, except for it's a poke chain. It's nice that you can order half salad and half sushi rice. The toppings are standard, but they are missing anything like spicy tuna or spicy salmon for proteins; just the basics. They weigh the protein before adding mix-ins, which I've never seen done. Toppings seem unlimited. BE AWARE when asking for SAUCES that they will absolutely DROWN your protein and toppings, and then dump that over your rice. I watched as the ponzu drained down and completely began to fill the bottom of my bowl and soak my rice to the point that when I began to eat it there was scarcely any plain rice left. Super overkill. There is an issue with the serving ware, as they use plastic to-go bowls (that they later place lids on) which they absolutely CRAM everything into. I got a large thinking would have more space in that bowl, but they just filled it up more. Rice on the bottom, then lettuce mixed with protein, sauce and toppings on top. When I got the lid off I used up napkins after napkin picking up food that kept falling out of my bowl and hitting the table just while I was trying to take bites. Because the salad and rice wasn't split, all the salad was on top and the rice wasn't accessible without digging, again making a mess. And of course, the rice in the bottom was a soaking mess. I mentioned the issue with the oversaucing twice to them, once when the first employee did it, no response, and then to the other employee when I couldn't come close to finishing my meal because it was gross. That guy just said "sorry". I think because this is a chain you can't expect more than this level of knowledge and service. If you want a little better experience and food, maybe try a nice mom and pop shop. read more
