Ordered delivery through Yelp. They use GrubHub (the worst!). The driver arrived, gave me a bag of food. When I got inside and looked, it wasn't my order. In fact, the receipt said it was a DoorDash order. I ran outside to catch the driver and he refused to take the food back. He kept saying, "Just call Grubhub and they'll refund you. You expect ME to drive all the way back to the restaurant to get your order!? Who is going to pay me for my time? Its not my fault, that's what they gave me.".... It IS his fault for not bothering to check to make sure the delivery was even for him (ie GrubHub) AND its PokeWorks' worker fault for the same reasons. Such a bad business model on Grubhub's part and all these restaurants keep using them. I see it as the restaurant doesn't really care about their customer service if they continue using such horrible delivery companies like GrubHub. Grrr, so hangry now! read more

After reading other Yelp reviews I decided to give this place a try . I choose to order through the App as sometimes it's intimidating ordering food " your way " when you are standing in a busy line . I choose the large with tuna , salmon and spicy salmon with a variety of toppings. Ordering online was easy and you could pick the time you want for pick up which made it convenient. Walking into the restaurant I noticed a modern fill to it , clean and well lite . The music was fairly loud and I was glad I was getting to go as it probably would of start getting to me after a while . The associate behind the counter was kind and it was fast to pick up my items . Walked in and out in less then a minute . The container was full of food and it my surprise a lot bigger then I thought it would be . They did not skimp on anything and it was packed with flavor. The cucumbers were extremely fresh and the oranges popped with flavor when I bit into them . The rice was nice and soft . I would have to say I do wish I would of went with one of their specialty menu sections as I wasn't "schooled " on what flavors would work with others , I just randomly picked . If your new to the place pick one that seems the best for you and then go from there . It's like building a sandwich keep going until you get it " just right for you " . I defiantly couldn't finish it as it was way too much to eat, for the price of just over $14 I probably could get 2 meals out of it . Will be back again I recently came back to this location and went with the " less is more " theory , my bowl was so yummy ! I choose a regular with 2 proteins , cucumbers, onions , regular sauce and the sauce with salt . I added avocado which I felt was a little pricey to add and probably wouldn't do it again . And I had never heard of Pokeworks until October 14th; evidently it's a nationwide chain. That said, I was pleasantly surprised by the freshness and flavor of Pokeworks. The spousal unit and I shared a large poke bowl with Ahi tuna on sushi rice; mango, edamame, hijiki seaweed, and sweet onion; spicy ginger sauce; green onion, pickled ginger, and sesame seeds; lotus chips and macadamia nuts. The quantity of everything was great and we actually had a little bit to bring home (especially since we saved room for the mango haupia, which was less than great and not worth the price). The offspring had the poke bowl with chicken and sushi rice (not sure about toppings), because he doesn't like seafood. I'm not sure if he's really my offspring. He said his bowl was very good. Not only does Pokeworks have a clean, modern interior with ample seating, they also have a large array of interesting delicious options to choose from. We ordered two large spicy ahi bowls but customized them to our likings including fresh jalapenos, fresh Thai chilies (a rarity in the Midwest), and more seaweed options than most poke places. While it was the first week of them being open, the staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and ready to answer any questions. Couple that with drink options that aren't just the usual Coke/Pepsi and a true dessert menu, Pokeworks is a great addition to a slowly modernizing Omaha suburbs food scene. read more

Don't judge a restaurant by it's promotional pictures. That's true of any place, but especially true for this new to market poke restaurant. "It looks hip! The food looks fresh! The bowls look tasty!" Too bad it comes well short of what they portray their food to be. The service was fine. The restaurant itself was nice and clean, due to it being new. The food though...it was lacking. My main gripe is the fish. This is a poke place. Not a vegetable, seaweed, avocado (which is $1.50, while most other toppings or mix-ins, or whatever category they fall under, are offered for free) or green onion place. The fish has to be good, or else this place fails. I ordered the Original Hawaiian, or something like that. The fish is ahi tuna. Instead of it marinating in sauce like it is in local Hawaiian joints, the fish is squirted with a special sauce. That's fine because the sauce was tasty. What wasn't fine was the fact the fish was of so low quality (very little natural flavor and fattiness) and prepared so poorly (cut very small, almost minced, and all torn up, due to it being prepared quickly, I am guessing), that I could not really enjoy the bowl, even if everything else was fresh and tasted alright. I know we are in Omaha, blah blah blah, can't get fresh fish, blah blah, but I have had much better poke at Sushi Japan, which unfortunately closed, and even Costco. I was excited to try this place based on the pictures. But like I said, at least for me, you can't judge a restaurant based on promotional pictures. read more

Stopped in for dinner on a Friday night and got there just in time before the rush hit. The staff behind the counter was very friendly and very helpful. They really did a nice job answering questions and packing the food in to the bowls. The food tasted very fresh and was quite delicious. This is an awesome option for something on the healthier side and faster side. They also have a lot of gluten free choices which is very important to us. I'm glad they are in town. Placed an online order, paid for it and showed up to a door that said due to short staffing they were closed. This is probably the worst poke experience I've ever had since poke became trendy for the past couple years. I was very excited to try this poke place since it has branches in CA but I was very very disappointed with this place. Ordered a large build your own poke bowl but pretty much paid 14 bucks for a large bowl of rice. While looking at my protein options, the salmon looked a little more pale orange than usual like it's cooked for some reason but decided to try it out anyways. Ordered 2 scoops of spicy tuna and 1 scoop of salmon and noticed the girl making my bowl put the fish (unseasoned) into the bowl of rice. Next thing you know, she realized she messed up and reached into my bowl of rice and grabbed the fish out to another bowl. Sure, with gloved hands but did she change her gloves prior to removing my fish? NO. Do I know what she touched before she touched my fish? NO. Totally unacceptable especially during a pandemic. She then proceed to touch other items without changing her gloves after touching the fish. Also, the portions for fish and toppings are pathetic. So in the end I ended up purchasing a large bowl of rice with a tiny side of fish on the side. And let's just say the crab salad and seaweed salad were the tastiest items out of the whole bowl and I think that's just sad. read more

I will say this, for those who are wondering about the freshness of the fish or claim it's not as fresh as it should be- we live in Omaha,Nebraska. Far from any ocean of which you could find great fresh tuna and salmon. It was fresh as the best fresh could be in the Midwest. I got a large bowl with light sauce- next time I'll get medium just to match the amount of rice. Plenty of toppings to choose from, I personally like cucumber and green onions! The fish is not marinated, which makes it slightly less authentic ( from what my fiancé says from a short deployment in Hawaii ) but the sauce they put on it is good. In general the food tastes great and I've had a great experience besides today. My husband and I placed our order via the Pokeworks appfor pickup about an hour in advance. I pull up and call inside to have the order brought out. I am told that the order didn't come up, basically that they didn't have it though my husband was charged for the order. They told me if I could bring in screen shot I could come inside and they would make the order for me. I get inside the representative says that they are working on another order then they would get to me. I see them continuing to make orders for other patrons who have ordered through the app or in advance. When I start to order, he doesn't understand me so I have to remove my mask. I then proceed to tell him my order. I tell him again. Then he asks if he can have my phone to make the order. We have to exchange the phone twice because the screen keeps going dark. I am then told they are out of wontons. To top it all off at the end he offers me a drink. I am thinking it is to apologize for not having our order and then he tells me that it would cost $2.50 more. I am very disappointed. I wasn't given a formal apology or explanation as to why our order was lost. This place was becoming a favorite of ours. Not sure about when we'll be back in the future. read more

This place was so amazing!!! We waited 2 hours in line for their grand opening and it was so worth the wait. The atmosphere was incredible, the staff was super friendly, very clean place. While waiting in line the owner came out multiple times and thanked everyone for coming and gave out refreshments to beat the heat a little. Now about the food... 11/10!!!!
