This place was so amazing!!! We waited 2 hours in line for their grand opening and it was so worth the wait. The atmosphere was incredible, the staff was super friendly, very clean place. While waiting in line the owner came out multiple times and thanked everyone for coming and gave out refreshments to beat the heat a little. Now about the food... 11/10!!!! I understand we are in the midst of a pandemic and there are many changes and adjustments that have to be made for local restaurants and businesses. However, it is frustrating to have to wait over an hour for a online order that isn't through DoorDash or other food delivery companies. I made an order through the app at 6:04 pm and arrived at 6:24 pm when it said my order would be ready. I walked inside and waited by the online pickup order table for an hour and 15 minutes. I asked the staff to see where my name was on the list and they said they would look on the list behind the counter but didn't get back to me. I waited patiently, assuming that the ten DoorDash drivers that got their food before me had orders that were ordered before 6:04 pm. The more people I saw walk in and walk out with food, the more frustrated I got. I have been a solid supporter of this restaurant since the opening and the food is always delicious. However, I stood in that restaurant, in their line of sight, for one hour and 15 minutes. And now I sit in the parking lot in tears because this was supposed to be my boyfriend's birthday dinner. The staff worker told me my order had not printed out on their machine and by that time she saw it, they had already started cleaning up. She also explained that the guy I talked to about where my name was on the list was new and in training. So I hope everyone's day is going better than mine. I will be getting a refund in "3-5 days" and sadly will be choosing elsewhere next time. Maybe in the future I'll give it another chance. read more

I have waited for this place to open for MONTHS! I had just stopped to make a Trader Joe's run and got distracted by the people walking into Pokeworks. I popped in to see when the grand opening was and the manager ushered me in and told me to hop in line for the soft opening, told me "once you're in here, you're family." I was welcome to order anything off the menu, was charged nothing, and was greeted only with smiles and warmth. I haven't even made it home to eat my bowl yet, but the customer service alone has earned my loyalty. read more

First time to a restaurant serving poke bowls as the main attraction. I went with a specialty bowl for initial experience thinking that the creators of the menu knew what they were doing when they combined those specific ingredients; and they were! It was a delicious combination of sweet but spicy. I went with the sweet chili tofu and added some surimi salad on top. The tofu was perfectly textured with an sweet hint from the sweet chili gochujang sauce and then a kick a few second later. I loved the ability to customize any portion of the bowl. I got quinoa for the base instead of white rice and added some toasted rice puffs on top for some crunch. My only qualm is that it was $13 for a regular sized bowl. While it filled me up and the bowl itself contained niche ingredients that I wouldn't necessarily get anywhere else, it's hard to justify that everyday. With that being said, I would definitely go back. Just make sure you give yourself ample time over the lunch hour because there's definitely a rush. read more

You order at the counter and as you walk toward the register you direct what specific ingredients you wish to add to your bowl. The cost can vary depending on how many add-ins you opt for. I'm glad they opened a pokeworks here in omaha. I have love poke since being exposed to it in Hawaii. We just ate at the pokeworks last week in California at the Irvine location when we found out there was a location that opened up in our own city. They have great selection of toppings for the build your own bowl or you can pick one of the different styles of bowls /burritos combinations already created. Much like the Chipotle concept of selecting. My S/O and I opted for one of each. For those that don't like raw fish there are other options as well. Poke makes for a great quick healthy meal. I truly appreciate the rudeness of people when I guess they think it's appropriate. Always had great meals at pokeworks on Pacific. This time we did the curbside pickup. Ordered on my wife's app because it was for her. Her name is Kris severe and so when I got there and called I said the order was for severe. Cuz that's the last name. Apparently on the bag they wrote kris S. So the person that was to bring it out I guess got frustrated with me because I gave the last name opposed to the first name. Then she came out to give me the food and happily pointed out that they use first names at pokeworks see Kris S. I assumed it was very difficult to figure out that severe was the last name you never know. But Foods always great despite the rudeness of one person obviously having a bad day. read more

I am soooo excited that a place in Omaha has Sushirittos!!! This was a very good Sushiritto but not the best as I have had a lot of them in California. I wish they had shrimp tempura to add as a crunch or eel sauce or spicy crab. It also seemed very skinny to me and they charge to add avocado which I think is nuts! It is a very slow line and they do not know how to roll the burrito as it fell apart as I ate it so they need some work on this. I am giving a 4 star as I think they are new and they will get better over time and this place has a ton of potential! I will be coming here a lot over my lunch break!!! I got a 2 protein bowl with kale noodles, double salmon, spicy garlic sauce, cucumber, edamame, sweet onion, sesame seeds, crunchy garlic, and lotus chips. The kale noodles were delicious! I ordered via the mobile app. When I came to pick up my food there was someone standing in line and the workers completely ignored him and he eventually walked out. I had to ask for my food without being acknowledged and when I walked out to my car an item was missing so I had to go back in. When I told them they said "oh yeah we don't have the ingredients to make that. Can we give you tea instead?" When I said I would prefer a refund instead of a tea that costs $3, all of the sudden they could make it for me if I waited 5 minutes. I already picked up my order after the pickup time so they had plenty of time to make it, they just didn't want to make this limited time item for whatever reason. I could wait so again opted for a refund and they said they did it, but it never came through. I called the manager who said he would have the assistant manager issue my refund for the meal for my trouble, which they also never did. What bothers me the most is the employees were just going to let me walk out, knowing I didn't have the food I paid for because they simply didn't want to make it and tried to force me to get something else instead. When that didn't work they just wouldn't refund my money and have made me jump through hoops, seemingly knowing that they never intended on making it right. Just read another review which confirms my suspicions. The item they wouldn't make for me was the limited time spam item, which is what another reviewer has said as well. read more

Poke in the Midwest?! Yes!!! I fell in love with Poke bowls in Hawaii and am SO happy to have found a delicious option right here in Omaha! I got the Hawaiian Classic with a few additional mix-ins/toppings (mango, edamame, masago) and it was delicious!!! Slightly on the higher side for what I usually pay for lunch, but I also understand having fresh, quality ingredients cost a little more, especially when it comes to seafood here in land-locked country. I'm a huge fan of poke bowls (or sushi bowls, as I prefer to call them), so I was so excited when I saw Omaha was adding another poke option! Overall, Pokeworks is a solid poke place. They had a good selection of proteins, toppings, and sauces. They don't have very many topping options, BUT you can add as many of them as you want, whereas some places only give you 2-3 and charge extra for additional. That said, the scoops of each topping are pretty small, and more costs extra. So take that for what you will. When it comes to sauce, they ask if you want a light, medium or heavy amount. If you want to be able to really taste your sauce, go heavy. Trust me. The final perk is that this is definitely an affordable poke option. I've been to places where it's upwards of $15 for one bowl. A regular bowl with no add-ons or extras at Pokeworks was $10-11. For me, that is reason enough to come back. read more

Ok. I'm obsessed with this place. The workers are the most friendly, helpful, and patient even when I took forever to decide on toppings. I got a poke bowl that I created myself with brown rice, tofu, cucumber, mango, kale, onion, avocado, and garlic crisps. It was absolutely delicious and left me feeling satisfied and happy. This is no Panda Express- and that's a complement! We walked into a sleek, modern atmosphere on a Sunday. There weren't many people in the restaurant, but rush hour would be later on in the day, so that was usual. We were immediately greeted by an employee with a blue shirt- let's call her Employee. When Employee asked us for our order, it was in a way with care but assertiveness. I got a regular sushi rice bowl with edemame, cucumbers, mango, chicken, shrimp, and wonton crisps. The wonton crisps were the icing on the cake. Then, Employee asked if we wanted any sauce. I said yes, but THEY DIDN'T HAVE REAL SOY SAUCE!!!!!!!! Our poke bowl came to $10.95 plus tax. I also got some tea from there Panera style tea fountain. However, even though I asked for the cup, I asked to ask 3 more times to actually get it. Employee said she was very sorry- while on her phone. With a slight look of disgust, she gave it to me (saying "sorry" multiple times). Even though they didn't have soy sauce, they had an alternative to it, which made the whole bowl not quite as good. However, I guess I only have myself to blame. The miso soup almost made this a 5 star! With the traditional ingredients, there were also Kix like floaters in it. Two gender bathrooms.
