To start off my meal tasted good but it had a lot of problems in terms of timing and being made how I ordered it. I placed an order on the app and when I arrived at the store 5 min after my quoted pickup time I was told it would be at least 15 more minutes (it ended up being 20) which was very frustrating. On top of this my order was made incorrectly, with certain ingredients added, some missing and instructions not followed (sauce on side). Poke is amazing. And this restaurant has very friendly staff!! We were new to the food and they walked us through it with patience and a smile. Fresh fish and high quality ingredients. It's like sushi in a bowl! I had the spicy Ahi tuna bowl. Could have asked for less of the spicy sauce...the ingredients themselves have a very light taste that can get overwhelmed easily: my fam chose no sauce and theirs was actually even tastier than mine!! Small servings, high prices, mediocre food.

Stopped by to pick up some lunch. The line was long during the lunch hour but the service was super speedy-- was in and out in 15 minutes. Location is right on Thayer with a little parking lot right out front. The inside is super cute and clean. Employees were very nice and polite giving me the extra toppings with no fuss when requested. The serving portions were generous, 2 scoops of fish for the regular order at $10.95 or 3 scoops for a large at I think $13.50? I loved that they mixed my mix ins together with my Siracha aoili and put it ontop of my half brown rice half kale noodles. Toppings were generous as well, I got a little of everything with salmon and tuna. Overall, this has been the best poke bowl I've had on the east coast. It's dangerously close to my office so I'll have to refrain from coming everyday with this serving of fresh food for a low price! read more

Pokeworks was absolutely delicious and had plenty of options for gluten free diners. If you let them know you have a gluten allergy and they will provide you with a list of all safe ingredients! The sushi burritos are prepared on a clean surface and they also cleaned the knife before cutting when I asked. Only reason for the 4 stars is that the girl working seemed annoyed when I asked for a clean knife for cutting. She then ran the knife under water but washed it with a dirty rag that has been used to wipe off the counter. I then asked her again if she could truly clean it as I have a serious allergy, and though she did not seem thrilled, she cleaned it properly and I did not have any reactions. read more

Beautiful, colorful, and fresh. I got the Spicy Ahi signature bowl. This was my first true poké experience. I have had poké before, but never at an establishment like this. I was very impressed by the process. I liked that I was asked how much sauce I wanted as I am a person who enjoys A LOT of sauce. I went for 'heavy'. This BYOB (build your own bowl) experience was great. I got to add mango, seaweed salad, and masago (small orange balls, also known as roe). I was impressed at the spice level. I usually find that spicy ahi is not very spicy. The ahi was deliciously seasoned, a mouthwatering flavor I found hot without being overpowering. I couldn't finish my entire bowl and I got the regular size. The portions are generous. I am looking forward to bringing others here to try it out, especially for their first poké experience. read more

Went to a different Pokeworks location in the area and thought the burrito was really good. The person that was wrapping my burrito didn't do too much of a good job though because it was falling apart when I was eating it vs the other locations, they'd stay in place. We were here on a very hot day today. It was 100°F outside and we wanted to eat something light for lunch. We ordered on our app and when our food was ready, we asked for 2 cups of water in addition to the drink that we ordered. However, the staff told us that they don't give out water. I've never been to any establishment where they refuse to give out water. Besides, I don't see any postings saying that they don't or can't give out water. I understand that some businesses want you to order the drinks on their menus, but come on, we already ordered their food and drinks, and just wanted extra water because we were so hot. I was a regular customer at Pokeworks on Thayer and really loved their food until I went in to get a bowl the day after they reopened during COVID. I was disgusted to see the guy making bowls was not properly wearing his mask (entire nose exposed). My husband and I pointed it out to him, but it was too late. We left without our food. I was concerned because this same guy made multiple to-go orders with his mask on improperly before taking our order. I contacted corporate and received an automated email response. Thayer street pokeworks restaurant I will never go back to. The one in Attleboro I highly recommend! Thayer Street overcharged me with supposed add ons. I got the same bowl, actually even better served with a friendly smile for $6 less in Attleboro. Never again Thayer st. That small bowl in the picture cost me over $16 and I don't even know what item was an add on, meaning more money. I almost left it there and walked out. This poke works is near brown university and caters (Rips off) students, so I guess that's why they figure they can rob people $16 for lunch. My protein I chose was shrimp and a Mellon ball scoop of crab meat. Again, if you crave poke, rte one Attleboro is really worth the ride. You'll get way better service and a cheaper price! read more

Pokéworks is a solid 3.5 stars for me, but due to rating limitations it's 4 stars. Pokéworks is essentially a sushi chipotle. Which, don't get me wrong... definitely holds a special place in my dining pursuits. Pokéworks is my go-to, when I have a big appetite/craving for sushi but need to quickly grab and go. What I love about this chain is the quick service, the smorgasbord of toppings that you can pile on to your bowl (the sushirrito not so much...unless you want to be that jerk that makes your server struggle to roll your sushi burrito) and the generous portions. Fair warning though, it's not for the picky or cautious eater. Especially if you don't like sushi. Just don't bother coming. They do have some alternative options like chicken or vegan options. But the highlight is the poke. And if you go to Pokéworks without the poke... it's eh. Unless your super savvy with your sushi, which most people aren't...there will be items on the line that you'll have no clue what the heck they are. Despite well-intentioned efforts to get the servers clarification it will probably not answer your real question of "how will this taste on my bowl/burrito?" You just gotta throw it in and hope it works! And if your lucky enough it'll work. As someone who salivates over a good ahi tuna poke and piles on various types of roe on my bowl. Indoor: I was suppose to have Korean food tonight but the light from inside of the place caught my attention so I decided to try it out for dinner. The interior is well-lit, clean with modern furniture. Seating arrangements they have high seat tables that can sit four per table and a row of seat along the table. How to Order/Menu: Same concept as Chipotle ( build your own Poke bowl, Poke burrito, salad and etc.), except they also have a menu with preselected ingredients. I build my own Poke bowl with sushi rice (brown rice and quinoa are also available), ahi tuna (two scoops for $10 in change. They offer three scoops as well), Edamame, seaweed salad, masago (roe), wasabi, scallions, cucumbers and cilantro in their sriracha aioli sauce ( they will ask you whether you want a light, medium or heavy sauce and I picked medium. The amount of sauce was just right for me. There was enough sauce to cover the ingredients and rice). This place is on the small side but the food is out-of-this-world good! I had the Sweet ginger chicken but exchanged the chicken for spicy salmon and ahi tuna instead. I had it in the Poké burrito style made of roasted seaweed wrap and sushi rice. Inside with the Tina and salmon were: Green and sweet onions-cilantro-edamame-sesame seeds-spicy ginger sauce. I added blanched kale-spring greens-ogo seaweed-garlic crisps and wonton crisps. I drove from Middletown, RI to come here and it was so worth it! This place is fine. It's a chain (So minus one star for that), which I usually avoid, but I need to get my poke fix while the poke cart is off the street for the winter season (please come back!). Reasonably fresh but not super duper fresh seafood is to be found here. That's the main reason for 3 not 4 stars, the fish is so-so. They have preset choices but also create your own options for bowls, sushirritos, and salads. LOTS of options for toppings and sauces which is nice. You get a decent amount of food for the price. Visited early afternoon on Saturday and it was buzzing still. I'd never had a poke bowl before so it was a new experience. Although I felt pressured to keep the line moving since I wasn't familiar with some of the choices, the employees who were waiting on me didn't rush me at all and took the time to explain with all my questions. It's set up similar to a Subway which is fun since you can pick your ingredients and there's plenty to choose from. There are set menu items too in case you don't want to decide. I'm hesitant to eat raw fish so I was really happy they had cooked shrimp, scallops and chicken (tofu too I believe). The toppings are fun and I found something new I really liked-lotus chips. I will definitely be making these at home! They would get five stars as the employees were great and the selection was plenty but the upcharge for certain things is a little pricy.
