I have been to Ceviche by Divibi before and have enjoyed it. I have sat both inside and outside and I will admit I enjoy the outside experience much more. The views alone are beautiful right near point street. They do have heaters outside if it gets chilly. The drinks were good. I especially liked the coconut mojito. The appetizers were delicious. I did like my meal I had the quinoa bowl with salmon but I belt the lime or lemon they used over powered the bowl. I would next time ask for it in the side. I was with 3 other coworkers and we all did enjoy our time. Our waitress Sabrina was sweet, friendly and knowledgeable about the dishes. I would say dress casual. This place was so cute and peaceful! I went on a Friday night and did not have to wait at all to be seated. We went about 8:00 PM and were instantly seated at an outdoor table of our choice.. The outside view was great and the server sebastian was helpful and very friendly! The prices are $$$ but the food is very good! the staff; very patient and knowledgeable. The manager even came to check up and see how we were feeling about the restaurant. The menu was not very big, but very healthy and tasteful. The Pulpo anticuchero was by far my favorite dish of the night because of how flavorful it was. She was friendly, attentive, and engaged with us the whole time. She had great knowledge of the menu that helped with our food selections. The drinks are tasty and they served a fair amount of liquor with the drink. The presentation is done beautifully has a very much giving high class look to the way the set up the food very much "instagramable" The food is fairly priced. Location: parking is street parking , and some areas have meters. When I went it wasn't hard to find a space, but being that's in the city it's definitely something to consider when trying to set a schedule to arrive for a reservation. The restaurant has a coffee shop type of look which I'm assuming is because they just opened, and I do wonder if they will add any traditional or Peruvian decor, but still nice. Finally, a new Peruvian restaurant in Providence! This spot has a great energy and I love the openness of the space. Let's start with the appetizers. The pulpo anticuchero is a must-order. The octopus is tender and perfectly cooked. Seasoned with Peruvian panca chili, it's a total flavor bomb. I also recommend the causa crocante de tuna, which is basically a lightly fried potato ball topped with tuna. Yum! Moving on to the ceviches, my two favorites are ceviche apaltado (I love the butteriness of a salmon ceviche) and the ceviche de mercado (mainly because it comes with both marinated fish and fried calamari). The ceviches are extremely flavorful and the sweet potato and choclo accompagnements really round the dishes out. You are also given the option to choose your preferred heat level (I opt for medium). The drink menu is nice but it does skew sweet and if you're not a fan of Pisco, you'll be hard pressed to find a cocktail for you. But I happen to enjoy a Pisco sour so I was a happy camper. For dessert, I get the picarones con helado de lucuma (basically fried dough balls with lucuma ice cream). I discovered lucuma at another Peruvian restaurant years ago and it became one of my favorite flavors. Lucuma is a Peruvian fruit whose flavors are reminiscent of butterscotch and caramel. My only criticism is that I wish the lucuma ice cream here had a stronger lucuma flavor. The lucuma was relatively mild and could have even been mistaken for vanilla if you didn't know any better. But the dessert itself is still yummy. I've been twice now and service has been exceptional both times. The waitstaff is knowledgable and eager to help you make an informed decision if you're unsure about what to order. I will absolutely be back to try more of the menu (especially curious about the arroz con mariscos as I love a good paella). read more

I'm in love. From the moment I called about reservations and spoke with Taylor, who was so congenial and accommodating, I hoped this would be a good experience. Additionally, it was my first foray out since I sprained my ankle. So my daughter and I went there to experience life outside the four walls. Great new addition to the Providence dining scene. Got to talk to one of the partners and he said they have plans to be open later as a cevicheria and cocktail bar plus lunch hours when they are able to get into the full swing of things. We set a reservation for 8:30 and arrived about 8:20 hoping there was a possibility that maybe we cooks sit a little early. Well this was NOT the case. Place was packed and I couldn't have been more happy for them. We had to wait a bit for our table but it was almost to be expected as it's a brand new restaurant that had JUST opened a day prior to us dining there. Even with that knowledge, Ali came over to us and offered us each a glass of champagne to enjoy while we waited. He didn't have to do that, but went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable while we waited. Now that is customer service! On to the food. Amazing. That's all I can really say about it. It had everything you want when you go out to eat at a nice place. The food was presented beautifully and bursting with color. Our party of 3 got 4 dishes and shared them all family style. We got causa crocante de tuna, tradicional ceviche, ceviche apaltado, and finally arroz norteno con pork belly. The ceviches were fresh and full of flavor. The pork belly was some of the best I've ever had. The causa crocante de tuna was good but if I wanted to try something else next time, this is the dish I would replace. If you ever have been to Peru, or you are thinking about it, you should go to Ceviches. It gives you the seafood staples, classic Peruvian dishes and some really innovative cocktails. I had a feeling this place would be good but it was seriously GREAT. Keep in mind, my standards were high going into this experience. I taught English in Lima for a few months and I used to organize student trips to Peru so I was so happy that this restaurant met my expectations. My date and I went with medium heat in the 3 ceviches trio which gave it flavor but wasn't overpowering. The causa ganadora brought in so many different flavors in one bite. The passion fruit syrup on there is something that might change your life. The octopus skewers had a nice coat of seasoning that added to the perfect texture. They cooked these tiny skewers to perfection. For beverages, the cocktails were really good. Purple haze and the classic pisco sour tasted incredible. If you're into more simpler mixed drinks, try the "chilcano" - ginger ale and pisco. If you don't drink alcohol, try the chicha morada! The causa ganadora was probably the coolest The picaronnes, featured, felt like pure nostalgia. The lucuma ice cream has a nice hint of cinnamon that is really pleasant. I am convinced this food is the absolute closest to Peruvian food that you might find here in the States. Last but not least, Angel was our server. All smiles, very friendly and extremely professional. He gave us the recommendation for the octopus skewers and he was spot on with it. Start with one of their inspired cocktails. I selected the Beso Limeño - a delectable concoction of lime juice, passion fruit pulp, simple syrup, ají limo chili pepper and beer. I picked it because I Iove passion fruit - the drink is refreshing, light, and zingy with a slightly spicy salty rim. Perfection in a glass! Every time I have eaten at Ceviches by Divino, my table starts with the Trío de Ceviches. It seems a little pricey at $32 but you get a lot of fish including Ceviches Tradicional, Ají Amarillo & Divino. We went for dinner on a Friday night. We waited for about 5 min because they were having issues with a Doordash order. Not a big deal, we were seated at the bar because we did not have a reservation. We decided to order a few different things to try, everything was delicious. I would give the food 5 stars. The service was just ok up to this point. We ordered a takeout order and dessert at the same time, which was suggested by the server so the takeout would not get cold. We got the takeout order in less than 10 min, our desserts took 20. We saw our dessert, but our server was hanging out and chatting with other employees at the end of the bar. The desserts were not good at all and look nothing like the pictures on their menu. Our takeout was cold at this point. We were ready to pay the bill, but our server did not come back, again he was talking at the end of the bar with other employees for quite awhile.
