Delicious Poke Bowl bar where you pick your ingredients. They don't have suggestions for ingredient combinations on menu but you can ask if you want help. I choose two proteins: marinated tuna and marinated cooked shrimp. I recommend both, but especially the marinated tuna. I also highly recommend the seaweed salad for one of your toppings. The spicy mayo was a fantastic sauce on top of everything. There is a separate drink/coffee counter, where you pay separate. I don't know how the business relationship works. I ordered a strawberry shake with creme brulee in it. Very delicious! Small area for seating but they have a few tables. read more

So I was unaware that this is a chain but apparently it is. I got the soba noodles with a bunch of fixings, they allowed 25 additional toppings that you can add to your pokebowl. It was a cold noodle bowl that felt refreshing on this hot summer afternoon. Not overly spicy and perfect for the heat. read more

Definitely among the better, if not the best, places I've been to in D.C. for a poke bowl, given the wide variety of offerings. I built my own bowl with marinated salmon, marinated shrimp and tuna, which is among the 10 or so protein options. I had toppings of pineapple, mango, Masago, imitation crab and tempura, along with yuzu jalapeño and spicy ponzu sauces. There are about a dozen additional toppings and sauces to choose from and my bowl was about $20. read more

ordered the 3 protein bowl with pepper tuna, ahi tuna, spicy tuna, and added extra marinated tuna. The fish was fresh, tender, and generously portioned. The pepper tuna had just the right kick, the spicy tuna was perfectly balanced, and the marinated tuna was fire. I got it over soba noodles and it was refreshing, satisfying, and packed with protein without feeling heavy. They don't skimp on toppings either, and everything tasted super clean and high quality. I had never tried Poki DC but when I was looking for a poke restaurant, it stood out to me. And let me tell you, it was so good! What really called to me was the zucchini noodles they offer as a base, I love rice in a poke bowl but I was really excited for something a little lighter. And unlike many poke places, Poki DC allowed for unlimited toppings, which is what you hope for when you get poke. The serving size was LARGE for two scoops of protein, which was so filling. I will definitely order from Poki DC again, it was delicious. read more

Poki DC is such a great place! I went when I was in DC at least twice a week! It is not only fresh, but the options are phenomenal. I always get the two pick protein bowl and it does not disappoint. The salmon and tuna are great and the choice for toppings are also a highlight. Everytime I went I got different toppings to mix it up. It wouldn't be complete without the seaweed salad and crab salad toppings though. If you are in the mood for Poke in DC then Poki DC is the place to go! My favorite poke place in DC. I think the price is fair for these portions and quality. They have my favorite toppings (pineapple and garlic crisp) and sauce (sriracha mayo), and the salmon and vegetables are fresh. I like that it's a pretty neutral salmon, not super fishy tasting. The seaweed salad adds some nice salty flavor too. read more

Came here with a friend on a very hot spring afternoon. We were about to eat outside but since it was 80°F already outside, we decided to stay and eat here. The air was comfortable and there was a good amount of seating inside. I also loved the fact that they had Blackpink music on repeat. The service was super fast. The only confusing part was where the lines started and ended during the lunch hour rush, especially since they share the space with Gong Cha. It's also nice that they leave out paper bags, chopsticks and napkins out for you to easily grab and go. The price was a little high (DC prices for you), but they do give alot of food (more toppings and base than protein, but that's usually how it goes with poke places). There's a good variety of bases, toppings, and proteins and sauces to choose from. I particularly liked the yuzu jalapeno sauce and the sriracha mayo (the batch I had felt extra spicy!) Loved the seaweed topping and the zoodles and sushi rice base as half and half. The bonito flakes were cool since not many places offer that. Not so sure how I felt about the hijiki salad as it added a strange element in my bowl. All in all, high price, good atmosphere, and good food. I'll only be back if any of my good friends invite me into DC again! read more

I visited with a group of 10+ students. The employees were all so accommodating of our large party; they had extra hands helping out to speed up the process, and they were sure to double check our order so we weren't overcharged. A lot of our students never had poke, and they kindly explained everything to them. I ordered a poke bowl with spicy salmon and various toppings. I was most impressed by the huge portions that they give you. If I wasn't super hungry from walking around the city all day, I definitely could have split the meal into two substantial meals. For the price and portion size, I think this spot beats out a lot of its competitors in the area! read more

Order delivery through Ubereats since there was a special BOGO deal. I was pleasantly surprised at how good and full the bowl was. I usually order three scoops of protein at pokè places bc they always skimp on the fish. Here, the spicy tuna scoops were full. Easily could have filled up with just 2 scoops. I got their donburi and it taste good! They have a milk tea shop that was connected to them as well. In terms of the drinks, their bubble tea was watered down, their brown sugar bubble tea tastes like the ones that weren't watered down, but you can literally tell that their tea content in the bubble tea isn't as high or freshly brewed. In terms of their eel donburi, I've added a lot of different toppings, such as kale, pickled radish, seaweed salad, and crabmeat salad. Other than the fact that the meal taste soggy due to the mixture of different sauces, kale, and zucchini noodles, the donburi tastes nice and warm, though the eel portions are a bit too small. Overall, their services are good and fast, and the staff are really accommodating! 6.2/10 for the food, 5.7/10 for the drinks, but rounded that to 4/5 stars due to the service. read more

Kind of disappointing price wise when doing delivery and factoring in that cost plus tip plus service charge. I ordered the 3 protein bowl w salmon, marinated salmon (not sure what it's marinated in but I liked it), and ahi tuna. I'm pretty sure each protein portion can't be more than two tablespoons. I know this because that's the same amount I feed my dog of her salmon/pea mix. Anyway, the fish was reasonably fresh. I don't know what I was thinking putting fish flakes as the crunch because that stuff smells awful. The other sides (cucumbers, mango, seaweed salad, pickled radishes, green onions) were just ok. Again, portion size was just limited and the rice really overwhelmed the entire dish. Overall, I prefer the poke place in the pentagon city mall.... except for the fact that I've gotten food poisoning there at least 3 times, other than it's a much better deal (when you don't end up purging your entire meal after a few hours). read more

You do the Poki Coki and you turn around That's what it's all about A really excellent poke place that is a local chain all over greater DC. It's one which isn't the best value but isn't too overpriced. The portions of fish aren't huge and the portions in general aren't very big, so it won't really fill you up, but poke bowls rarely do. Still, if you want a nice little poke snack to go with your delicious Gong Cha bubble tea, then this is perfect. It's always busy, with great views of the bustling streets outside, and there's always a long wait time, which is partly why I don't give it five stars, but I still love being here and I still love hanging out here and getting bubble tea with my poke. And they have bathrooms, thank goodness. read more

I ordered lunch this past Monday using the yelp app. I was super excited to pickup my custom poki bowl and the bubble tea that I ordered. Unfortunately, before I got back to my office I checked the bag and found out that my drink had spilled all over the bag and someone put a regular lid on a sparking bubble tea drink which caused it to explode all over the bag. I unfortunately did not have time to go back and get a new drink. I messaged the company on yelp but have not received a response. I will only order in person in the hopes that this will resolve my issue going forward because this is the only gong Cha location I know that has the sparkling mango drink. read more

Amazing poke for a reasonable price! Love coming here when I'm in town for work. Great place to pick up a quick, healthy and filling lunch. The place is small but they have everything you need from a selection of fresh fish and toppings as well as boba and milk teas. Service is always quick and friendly. Not too much space to sit and eat but you can always take it to go. If you're in the DC area stop by for a treat! read more

Can't really go wrong with a poke bar where the seafood tastes pretty good. Lots of different toppings. We picked this location since it shares a seating area with Gong Cha and were craving some boba as well. I opted for 3 scoops but if you're craving more scoops you can add one for $2 extra. Solid topping selection and highly recommend the spicy ponzu for a more settle flavor that doesn't overpower the entire bowl. read more

Although I do think that this place is pricey and that the fish portions are too small. Update: After waiting over 6 months since my last review, I revisited the restaurant for the first time recently. The new workers do not drown your poki bowl with sauce, but I did make sure to say "light" for sauce. The regular poki bowls are good. I have not tried their new (to me) donburi bowls but intend to. I have updated my review accordingly. I still recommend paying attention to how much sauce the workers put in your poki bowl and saying "light" if you don't like poki soup. read more

A bit pricey, but good nonetheless! I like that the donburi is freshly made. We went at dinner time on a monday so it wasn't super busy, and service was fast. If you're getting tea I'd recommend getting it first so that your food will stay warm! I wish they put more veggies and less rice (like just bigger scoops of veggies), since the rice is kinda lame by itself. It is definitely high quality though! read more

This was my go to long spot when I worked nearby before switching to WFH. They're speedy, there was almost never a line even during lunch time. Not sure how busy it is nowadays since I haven't been in awhile. They give generous portions, the sashimi fish is usually very fresh and well seasoned. Poki DC is honestly my favorite poke place in D.C. - so you can imagine how ecstatic I was to learn that one was opening around the corner from my office. The portions are extremely generous here, and the toppings include a wide variety, with two different seaweed salads as well! The fish tastes fresh and the marinades are not too overpowering, which can happen at a lot of poke places. For your base you can get white or brown rice, salad, zucchini noodles or a combination of two choices. They also offer mochi if you want a sweet treat. What makes this location even better is it shares a space with Gong Cha so you can get your bubble tea fix at the same time. I recommend the matcha milk tea, personally. To top it all off, the space itself is bright and clean, has a good amount of seating, and the service is outstanding - everyone is very friendly. Leave around 12:30 to aviod the 1-2 lunch rush, after 1-3h of shopping is a perfect time for an afternoon tea and food. Half sushi rice half brown rice, marinated salmon + squid salad with avocado top with tempura & sesame seed. Each bite is a different tast when pair with different item. Sushi rice with marinated salmon give you a wasbi spicy + vinegar sour, creamy texture = avocado pair with sushi rice, pair with brown rice will give you more of a chewly bite. Squid + brown rice = two type of chewly. Crispy every bite with tempura crunch. Also order an Thai milk tea with bobo. read more

I'm not sure what authentic hawaiian food is supposed to taste like to compare this but I think the seafood needs some kind of sauce. Portion size is great, one combo plate can be shared between two people but u might want to have your own as you're eating it. The take-out menu vs. dine-in menu are a little confusing, I'm not sure which has the better value and/or if theres any difference in portion size or what-not but we got the to-go combo and just ate in store. The dine-in menu I was told just gets plated instead of put in a box but i'm wondering if you get more/less meat in that sense because why are there two different menus? Overall this spot is pretty solid and a different kind of cuisine thats good to have around the area. I will likely come back and update my review as I try the other items on the menu and as they continue to renovate the space.

I got some trustee items, and I sort of wish I would've tried the Loco Moco because that would have truly told me whether or not I would be able to come back to this restaurant. As of now, I MIGHT stop by/order from here in a pinch BUT I wouldn't go out of my way. Let's begin. Location: it's located in Navy Yard. It's inside of Takorean. They make it easy to order online. It's giving Ghost Kitchen. Food: I ordered two spam musubis, two ahi bowls, and two bulgogi steak bowls: Spam Musubi: I think someone forgot an ingredient... Or two. The rice in these was extremely bland. Further, I'm typically used to there being some sort of sauce/glaze, usually tastes a little similar to teriyaki, between the spam and the rice. That was not the case here. Also, the spam was way saltier than normal. I love spam. It's one of my guilty obsessions, and I eat it about once a week. Yes, I know it's not good for you. However, I say that to say that I know how it typically taste. This was incredibly salty. I might have noticed it because that sauce that I previously mentioned was missing. Also, the rice was super bland. I don't think anybody put anything in the rice, including salt. Not that you need salt necessarily with a super salty piece of spam, but you get me. Ahi bowls: this tuna was so damn dry. DRYYYYYY. The flavor was good, but it was so incredibly dry. It was definitely overcooked and had nothing to do with it being delivered. In the bowl, there is salad, two scoops of rice, and a scoop of macaroni salad. The rice in the bowls was good. The salad was also pretty good. I really liked the dressing. However, the macaroni salad needed some help. I don't like Hawaiian macaroni salads that are overly seasoned, but this one was bland and had no seasoning at all. It tasted like someone over-boiled macaroni noodles, mixed some low budget, mayo in, and let the mayo set in overnight. It was definitely drier than I expected. Bulgogi bowls: Now, Kau Kau... if you're just selling Takorean's bulgogi, then say that. Because it tasted exactly the same... maybe slightly sweeter. Same comments as before re: sides. And again, it hurts me to say that about the Mac salad because I love macaroni salad. That has been one of my favorite food since I was a little girl. My dad's family lived in Hawaii and my Aunt is Hawaiian, so we ate Hawaiian food pretty regularly. Mac salad is my jawnnnnn. The salad was the best item and it's not supposed to be. This place just didn't do it for me this go round. I might be down to try the loco moco in the future but not sure.

I decided to try the garlic shrimp musubi and pork sisig. Although the price is a bit steep for the portion size, I genuinely enjoyed my food and am interested to try more of their foods. The garlic shrimp had enough flavor where it paired nicely with the shrimp. The pork sisig and atchara were also a nice combo that made the food memorable. The business owners were nice and very encouraging for me to try all of their dishes. It felt great to support a local AAPI business near me, and I would definitely come back soon.

Upon receiving, I saw that all the sauce was smothered in my bowl. I also got no utensils even though I requested some. At the end, I left half of the rice and mixed greens because it had way too much sauce which was incredibly overpowering. The quality of fish was fine, and I enjoyed it with the avocado. Meh. I think my experience would have been a lot more positive if the sauce was on the side for sure.

On the downside, although we both ordered the large size with double protein, it was a light meal (albeit delicious). Service wasn't great- we didn't get a text that our food was done and the employee didn't call out that our order was ready. After a 20 minute wait we asked if our order would be ready soon and it had been sitting on the back counter with the to go orders.

So whether these drinks were 3 or 4 stars for you depends on your goals. Overall, is this somewhere I would go out of my way to visit? No. Is it a chill easy hang if you're already in the area and need somewhere to drink while waiting to do something else at the Wharf or if you work in that area? Sure. Do I like that it is chiller and less bougie than the rest of the Wharf? Absolutely. I just feel like your best bet is to come and have a beer.
