I ordered the chimichurri steak plate and really enjoyed it. Funnily enough, the chimichurri itself was the least enjoyable item. I didn't love the texture of it (much too coarse) but, fortunately, it was packaged in a small container separate instead of on the steak itself. The salad probably had a bit too much dressing but I had the option to order that on the side so that's on me. Nonetheless, the steak, potatoes, salad, corn, avocado were all excellent. I also added chips, a lemon zest cookie, and a blueberry breeze handcrafted drink. The cookie is big and chewy, unlike others I have had. It's definitely not something to eat in one sitting. The drink was a little blah and nothing I would order again. All in all, very good!

This one would not allow you to make changes to your selection such as wanting it plain and no bun. Told the person who makes the sandwich and they still got it wrong. For a sandwich shop the dining area was cozy but small and very warm as in the A/C must not have been working or keeping up. Over all on a cool day eating in the outdoor area would be much nicer.

I did ask for the burrata on the side which they forgot to do. Duck a little bit salty, pasta was not standard fusilli which was sort of nice - squid ink orechiette - 4/5, my friend ordered this and I did not taste it, she thought the orechiette was a little too al dente but if we were not staying at a hotel for a work conference she said she would have taken the leftovers home Overall a solid offering on the Wharf with great service.

As we were walking back towards our hotel, we actually were passing here so I chose it for our din din spot. I thought for sure it was going to be packed but luckily it was not. I knew I wanted a burger but was struggling with choosing which one. Hubs knew he wanted the Cheesesteak and knew I wanted fries. I went with the Smokehouse burger. We grabbed a seat and did not wait long for our food to come out. I really enjoyed my burger and scarfed it down! I paid for sauces, which were tiny and super overpriced. Hubs enjoyed his cheesesteak but he prefers meat. I had a bite and thought it was really flavorful and very closely tasting like the real thing. I noticed later this is a chain, which is pretty cool. I think the prices were pretty steep so I might skip on the fries next time. The food could have been warmer as well. Definitely worth a visit and will most likely be back when in DC again.

While the drinks are a little on the expensive side, the cheese burgers are fairly priced. I will say that I had their "Proof through the Night" drink (which I believe is their take on a Manhattan) and it was excellent: a little boozy, a little spicy (in the cinnamon area of the spice world) and a touch sweet. I also had their version of the old fashioned and that was refreshing too. The condiments come out in these little jars and the smallest tobasco bottles ever! I had to take one home. The burger was excellent, cooked perfectly and these fries were amazing. They even had a harpist playing all the holiday tunes (Independence Day) as well as some cartoon classics (Peanuts, Moana, Beauty and the Beast, etc.) The service was also very good in that the servers were very attentive, the manager greeted us and when they said it would be an hour wait before we were seated, that was conservative because we were seated within 35-40 mins. I would highly recommend Peacock Alley, but please be mindful that this appears to be high end so spend accordingly to maximize on that great time.
