As we were walking back towards our hotel, we actually were passing here so I chose it for our din din spot. I thought for sure it was going to be packed but luckily it was not. I knew I wanted a burger but was struggling with choosing which one. Hubs knew he wanted the Cheesesteak and knew I wanted fries. I went with the Smokehouse burger. We grabbed a seat and did not wait long for our food to come out. I really enjoyed my burger and scarfed it down! I paid for sauces, which were tiny and super overpriced. Hubs enjoyed his cheesesteak but he prefers meat. I had a bite and thought it was really flavorful and very closely tasting like the real thing. I noticed later this is a chain, which is pretty cool. I think the prices were pretty steep so I might skip on the fries next time. The food could have been warmer as well. Definitely worth a visit and will most likely be back when in DC again.

From the moment we walked in to the moment we left, everything was perfection. To start, the Lemon Drop Martini was incredibly smooth and perfectly rimmed--it was so good I couldn't help but order a second one! For our appetizer, we initially planned on just getting the single egg appetizer, but our waitress suggested upgrading to the combo platter, and it was an amazing recommendation. For the main course, I had the crab cake, and it was honestly unbelievable. My husband ordered the Cobb salad and declared it the absolute best he has ever had in his life. But what truly took our evening to the next level was our server, Stephanie G. She was hands down the most personable, welcoming, and amazing server I have ever encountered. She completely elevated our entire trip, and we will always remember how phenomenal she was. Do yourself a favor and visit this spot--and definitely ask to sit in Stephanie's section.

The salmon came with a very citrusy leaves salad and maybe 2 radishes. For $38 I would love to see another side. It's a very touristy restaurant. I don't think I'll dine there again. They also charge 20% tips on family of 5 people... Also when paid with card it asks me if I want to add additional tip!! Not cool!!!

The drinks are pricey as expected ($30+) but my drink tasted really good and was strong without tasting like alcohol. I got the forever pear drink. Not worth it on multiple levels. Tea snack options were…read morescarce and mediocre. For ~$150 PP, you don't get very much. I've done high tea at other locations for a cheaper price AND more/ better quality food. I also found a short light brown hair (I have long black hair) that was baked into one of my scones. At the moment I alerted the say, I could tell they were surprised so they didn't know how to react so they said a quick sorry and just brushed it off. Later someone came out while I was in the restroom and gave my friend a very half hearted apology - I personally did not get one. They didn't really do anything for us to show they were taking the situation that seriously... hopefully this isn't something that happens but I can't be sure... The service overall was disappointing for such a well known hotel. Starting with the hostesses, they didn't seem very welcoming or helpful. We came early and let them know, they just stood there and acknowledged that we were early, they didn't suggest if we could wait at the bar - I had to ask. I don't normally expect that sort of thing but at a place like this, I did expect the staff to be a little more helpful than they were. At the end we went to the restroom and it was a bit busy so we were in there for a little while. We came back and a waiter ran out to us and gave us the bill while we were standing. It was my mistake for not asking about the bill earlier because I thought I paid for the high tea experience online. We planned on going back to our seats but they took everything away already.... We also had a long period of time where no one came out to give us a bill or ask how we were so we were left on our own to figure out what to do. Overall even though the location was beautiful, I think the experience was a very poor representation of the hotel. I would not recommend anyone doing high tea here, there are far better options elsewhere. One thing I do want to point out is that the car attendants were very kind.
