The menu actually seemed larger, which was nice. The staff are super patient with my incessant menu perusal. The ingredients are ultra fresh and delicious. This location is much bigger and trendy. Cool paintings on the walls and a bar area serving local brews. I love this spot. The parking is the only downside, but most businesses have that problem when they are popular. We have been past various Poki Pokis since we moved into town and finally decided it was time to stop. We walked in and were overwhelmed but the number of choices available. We settled on 2 bowls - Hawaiian and Spicy from the board instead of trying to build one on our own. The Hawaiian was light and tasty. Definitely reminded me of being there - it's been a couple of years and probably time for another trip to the island. It came with seaweed salad in the bowl. I'm not a fan of seaweed salad. However, this tasted great. The spicy bowl was equally good. It you are not into hot the have them reduce or leave out the jalapenos. For me I like hot so they didn't bother me. Bonus the employees were friendly and helpful to a couple of 1st timers. Overall 5 for fresh ingredients and tasty food. read more

This is a family favorite. The kids have the option to order bowls with cooked meat such as teriyaki chicken. If you are new I highly suggest going with a pre designed bowl as they have everything on point. Not what it used to be. Let me start. Ordered a large make it your own bowl. As the protein I decided on ahi only. Well when I dove into the ahi I found it to be not so fresh. It was dry and didn't have the right texture. Need less to say, I also paid for it this morning! Next the price hike is a little excessive. I get it inflation is driving up prices, but $18 (including tip) for a large bowl is crazy! Especially crazy when it seems that the amount of ingredients has decreased. I don't mind paying more for the same amount of ingredients that were in the bowl previously, but paying for a price increase and not getting the same amount of food is crazy. Hard to pay California and Hawaii pricing when the quality and size of portions is not the same! Coming from someone who has eaten a lot of poke in Southern California, I can say Poki Poki is up there with the best. The fish tastes fresh, portion sizes are great, prices are very affordable, ambiance is dope, and the service was awesome! My boyfriend and I ended up coming here twice in one night...lol. I love how they measure the scoops of fish by the ounce instead of scoops. This way, you'll get the exact amount of fish you're paying for! (They even have a little scale for accuracy). Their toppings and sauce selections are abundant; however you can only get a select number of deluxe toppings based on the size of your bowl. Which is totally normal. As for the sauces, the girl helping us recommended mixing the poke sauce with the spicy mayo and it tasted amazing! They also have a reward system which is cool. After visiting a few times, we collected enough points to earn a free soft drink. Earn more to get a free poke bowl! I'm excited to visit ABQ again so I can hit up this joint. I just went there and the food is healthy and tasty and there are some vegetarian options. However, the people working there are not trained to understand what vegetarian is. It was pretty easily workable though. What really bothered me though was the soup that comes with the meal. It is crap to call it "complimentary" and refuse to offer anything else when the soup is not vegetarian and the prices are very high for a fast food place. The soup alone costs $3.50 so I don't appreciate losing a third of the value for my meal and being penalized for not eating animals. That's very insulting. They need to either make the price lower for vegetarians or offer a vegetarian soup. read more

It's best described as do-it-yourself sushi rolls in a bowl Choose your base (rice, lettuce, etc.) and your meat (salmon, spicy tuna, tofu, etc.) and a big bunch of other stuff, including sauces. It all goes in a bowl. You can keep the stuff mostly separate or mix it all up. And the food is great. Enjoyed it every time. The setup is a bit confusing, but the staff are ready for that and will assist. If you like complex mixes of strong flavors, or even more subtle stuff, highly recommended. The actual restaurant is neat and clean. It gets a bit loud when crowded, but so does every other place I know of, so I guess it's just me. read more

We haven't been here since they first opened. The food is still just as incredible but the dining area is much larger. There is an opening that takes you in to Red Door Brewing. They have made this a cool space. Because of the open floor plan, however, it can get very loud. It does get crowded so get there early if you have a group. The atmosphere is great but the parking is horrible. If you go during a popular time you might have a bit of a walk. The food is super-yummy! You can make up your own mix or choose one of the suggestions. They do very well with special orders and suggesting bowl modifications for food allergies. There are options for those who don't do raw fish. We also tried a fish taco and a carnita taco. The fish was ok but the carnita was stunning. read more
