I've been wanting to check this place out for a while and I'm so glad I finally did! After browsing their menu online I came up with my perfect Poki bowl and headed over. To my surprise the fish was incredibly fresh and all of the flavors blended beautifully together. My boyfriend got the Boss Bowl which he scarfed down- so delicious. I made my own bowl with rice, salmon, spicy Poki sauce, avocado, cucumber, and seaweed. I have to say that this meal made me feel like I was in heaven. I went for a late lunch on Saturday and there was a long line but the line moved quickly and there was plenty of seating available. Since I was new, the staff patiently answered my questions about unfamiliar ingredients. Not being a raw fish fan, I chose cooked shrimp on white rice and chose from a nice variety of veggies and seasoning. I had it topped with a poki mayo and the results were delicious! I was pretty hungry so I ordered a large bowl but couldn't finish it all. Next time, I'll get a regular bowl. I look forward to my next visit! read more

Very good food and friendly service! The Latin bowl was very good the Ceviche tostada was great. All the tacos were good especially the Carnitas taco, that was my favorite! The fish taco was very tasty as well and the beer selection was good. read more

Man, this was soo good. How can you beat a big bowl of sushi? I got the Spicy Bowl and I savored that bowl more than anything that I have had in awhile. The fish was fresh and perfect. It was like a never ending spicy roll. I got the $16 size and had it for two meals, it was so packed. I will probably get that size again, just so I can savor and enjoy. I got my food to go. I did look around the waiting area and loved how they worked their open air dining with the bar. The service was fast and friendly, even though it was lunch time busy. Fantastic! The food is amazing. They have 3 different sizes to chose from. You can chose to do a signature bowl or make your own. I'm a picky eater so I made my own. The have a bunch of different fish to chose from and different vegetables. The best thing is the sauces. There are quite a few, you get one for the fish and another for the topper. The best part is how fresh everything was. It's not very pricey. They also have sangria and beer, if you want to drink. I will definitely be going back. read more

Poki Poki is so legit that I feel moved and compelled to leave a yelp review. I'm from New Mexico but for the last 9 nears have lived in Seattle, a place known for their seafood. The poke culture seems quite new to Albuquerque so I won't lie, I had a little bit of doubt as to the quality of a poke bowl in a desert far from the ocean. BUT HOLY MACKEREL, Poki Poki Cevicheria (I will shorten to PPC) exceeded my expectations and more! I had the Boss Bowl with added jalapeños. There are two factors I use to judge poke bowls: the rice and fish. It's as simple as that. The rice, a not so obvious judgement point, can mean the difference between a good poke bowl and a bad one. It's not always about the fish! The white rice at PPC was perfect and had really good texture and consistency. Check. Now the fish...damn it was fresh! There was tuna and salmon in the Boss Bowl. The tuna was not fishy at all (fresh tuna is not suppose to have a fishy taste, despite what you may think) and it was firm and lightly chewy...this is a good thing. You don't want your fish to feel mealy and sticky in your mouth! The salmon was good enough, though it could be a bit more fresh. It was on the softer side of the firm spectrum, but nothing to lose a star over. I'm sure it was just that day. There are many places in Seattle where some days the fish are perfect, while other days, not so much. It's just something you have to expect with raw fish. So, the fish in general was super tasty. Check. My expectations for this poke bowl has definitely been met. The next thing I want to add (sorry this review is getting so long) is how much I appreciate the fact that PPC doesn't over-sauce their bowls. I've seen it time and time again when businesses put way too much sauce in their bowls. It's cheating. Here, they use just the right amount and it does not overpower all the other condiments in the bowl. Let's just say I'm here for the month of June...PPC will see a lot of me. So far I've only had the Latin Poki bowl, and it was very tasty. We called our order in on a Friday evening. Upon walking in, we noticed a long line, but were almost immediately greeted and ushered up to the register by an attentive employee who handed us off to the cashier. We have always been loyal to this location since the day they opened, however, we are not fancying this location anymore unfortunately. The fish has been left out we have literally watched flies spend mass amounts of time eating the fish prior to humans while ordering and dining in. We have asked them to shoo the flies off of our food and they laugh. They don't cover the fish, I don't even believe it is at the right temperature when left out and uncovered all day, they don't even shoo the flies away. The female workers leave their hair down, the men touch their faces with the supposed clean gloves and proceed to make the food. The restaurants have been sectioned off and it is quite uncomfortable and unwelcoming when we could buy food, a beer, while also having a macaroon all from different companies but now we cannot. One of the best poke joints I've eaten at that is more than a few hours from an ocean, proving you can still get quality poke inland! Parking is very limited especially during peak hours. Interior is modern and they have a little bar inside for grabbing a beer while you eat. They also have an outdoor patio bar that is doggo/pupper friendly! Poke is served assembly-line style and you can choose between 5 or 6 of their specialty bowls, or create your own similar to the ol' "Chipotle" model. I had the large boss bowl for around $12 and it was PACKED with delicious and fresh ingredients and, if I'm honest, maybe a little bit TOO much altogether in one bowl if you're a poke enthusiast. Love this new location! The food is very good and consistent with the food I've received at their UNM location. I love the bar area and how it is an indoor/outdoor bar. They have a nice selection of sangrias. I personally tried the Summer Breeze and it was very good - sweet yet light. The space is a bit small and can get crowded quickly but we've always managed to find a place to sit. My husband and I will definitely be going back. read more

The environment of Poki Poki Cevicheria is perfect. The bar and the upstairs loft make for a New York type feeling. The food is great, I personally would recommend the spicy bowl. Finally I get to the final stage of completing my bowl, when the girl pushes my bowl aside, even though I wasn't done creating my bowl. NEVER again will I stop here! My boyfriend and I visited on a Sunday around 7:00 PM and the employees working at this time were HORRIBLE. Beyond rude and full of attitude. I would like to put out there that I can completely understand their frustrations due to the long constant line that seemed to be happening, but I think it is unacceptable to be so rude because of this. Not to mention our food seemed less than cold or refrigerated. The employees made it one of the worst experiences I have had in a service industry setting. Mind you I work in the service industry. We usually have the best experience at all Poki Poki locations, the employees are always great, upbeat and friendly. I'm not sure what happened. We felt so rushed and as though we were inconveniencing them. By the end they did not ask my boyfriend what sauce he would like they threw the bowl to the register area and he didn't want to ask for any due to their rudeness. The girl working realized this and proceeded to say "what else and what sauce do you want?". I was in shock I had to pay and walk away. My boyfriend is always beyond nice and understanding and even he was uncomfortable and taken aback. We will now be trying other spots that have Poki Asian style bowls. read more

Let me start of by saying I usually order from hello poke but poki poki is closer to my work. I was highly disappointed in the size of my bowl and the portion sizes. I had it delivered and requested siracha and soy on the side and just received one packet of soy. If you like more for your dollar then I highly suggest hello poke over poki poki. So fresh! Super nice servers, fast and has great beer options on tap. The plantain chips were a very pleasant surprise. Ive never really been particularly fond of them but this place does it right because I fell in love at first bite. Ive tried poki all over the country and this place is definitely up there with best Ive had.
