My boyfriend and I have been going to Pokitomik for the last year now-- It's become our go-to spot in Riverside. The service is incredible and the staff is super friendly. Our favorite thing to order is the Poke Burrito, which you can add a hot cheeto exterior crunch on the outside. They also have regular bowls and other creative items on the menu as well. If you're in the UCR area definitely recommend checking this place out! read more

This place was delicious! We got two small bowls and the portions were more than enough. We got one with ahi tuna, spicy crab and sweet salmon. The other one had spicy tuna. All the proteins were delicious but sweet salmon was my favorite. For sauces we got Hawaiian habanero and wasabi cream, spicy but not overwhelming. Great customer service and the place was clean. Probably my new go-to for poke around Riverside. I usually go to Poke Bistro, but I feel like this is a great option. The servings were generous & I liked how fresh everything was. My only criticism is that their sauces are on the saltier side; I'd be careful with asking them to go light on the sauce. I tried the burrito, which was actually fun to eat and not as messy as I had anticipated. Will probably still get a bowl next time haha! read more

This is like a rip-off version of Low Key poke, it was closed down in San Bernardino and when this opened, they have similar menu options so i was hoping they would have the same quality of food. their sushi burrito is not even a burrito, its so small, not worth $16.. maybe if its $8 i would've approve. im also disappointed at their poke bowls, their fishes are so small, its like im mostly eating rice and their drizzle, thats it. not worth $16 as well. read more

I went here by accident today while I was running errands. lol. I was super hungry, and I saw the store signage out front. I absolutely LOVE poke so I decided to try this place out as there was additional signage that this place had just recently opened. The inside of the store is fairly big. Really cute electric light signs hanging inside that really accent the place. There's cute Hawaiian flower print along the walls as well as a fair amount of seating. I met John who was working inside. Not familiar with how POKITOMIK works, I asked John if the ordering process was similar to the other poke places I've been to. John was super professional and helpful in explaining the ordering process. He also told me how all of their seafood comes in fresh and they make all of their sauces in-house! I had my order to go. When I got home, my poke bowl was still warm and fresh. I ordered brown rice with a mix of sweet salmon and tuna. I had ordered sides of mango, scallions, edamame, seaweed, masago, fried onions, sesame seeds, and furikake. For sauce, I had the garlic ponzu. Everything. Was. Delicious!!! Absolutely tasty, flavorful, fresh, and yummy. 5 stars across for food, service and ambiance. The only thing I would suggest to this business is to offer their 10% discounts to all college students and not just UC Riverside students. For one, it would be better exposure and marketing towards 18 and over. And another, most if not all college students are always on a budget (myself included, lol). And let's say if a University of Redlands student was in town visiting family in Riverside. They could go here, enjoy the yummy poke, and then spread the word about how awesome Pokitomik is when they go back to Redlands. Catch my drift?? Anyways, just a suggestion. read more

The tacos were a fun idea but not really great overall. You can't really put a lot of ingredients in the taco and they are difficult to eat. The bowl was average, we'd probably choose a different poke spot in the area next time. I will say the sweet salmon was really good if you have a sweet tooth and love salmon like I do. read more

I don't get the hype for this place. For $16 I got barely any salmon and the salmon I did get had no flavor (shouldn't have to hide behind sauces) and was cut way too tiny, they forgot the extra crab and if that actually was extra crab then wow... BEST POKÉ IN THE AREA! My husband and I are obsessed with poké and this place was sooooooo yummy! The ingredients were so fresh and you can totally taste the quality in their food. I ordered a bowl with some salmon and a few of my favorite toppings along with their Hot Cheeto option; let me tell you that it did not disappoint. When we arrived, it was packed and we were told there would be about a 20 minute wait after signing in, which we were fine with. Surprisingly, we were seated within about 5 minutes. Our waiter was amazing very attentive and on top of everything. The food came out in stages, which was actually great because it gave us time to enjoy one roll before the next arrived and kept the table from feeling crowded. The ambiance was perfect as well. This is definitely a new favorite!

They had a specials menu that featured Kuushi oysters from Washington - we didn't get them but seeing them on the menu was a surprise because those are usually high quality oysters. I got the chicken teriyaki bento set which is about $24 and came with so much food - miso plus salad plus a half California or spicy tuna roll plus 4-piece veggie tempura. Everything was perfect in terms of portion size, temperature, taste and texture. Even my niece who is a pickly toddler ate and enjoyed a california rol. Everyone in our group loved their sushi. Everything was presented very beautifully and the fish was all fresh. The rice to fish and filling ratio was perfect, no too much rice. We ended our meal with a fried green tea ice cream which was fantastic and perfect to split amongst the four of us after all the delicious food before it. We met the owner who was a really nice guy too. Really surprised to find a solid sushi spot in the middle of the Riverside. I would not mind returning here anytime I'm back in the area!

We also had to keep asking for water, and my molcajete chicken was not good at all (though the carne asada and sausage were tasty). Sushi and dragon roll were delicious. It seemed like they may have only had one cook, which affected timing. Our waitress was kind, but overall the service and experience just didn't match our first visit. Sadly, I may not return.

Both were tasty and comparable to what we've had at other sushi spots. We also tried the gyozas, which were average. Customer service could use some improvement. Our waitress wasn't rude, but she seemed rushed and tried to take our order almost immediately after we sat down. Since it was our first time, we needed a moment to look over the menu. Overall, the food and value were solid, but the service and small details could be better. I'd rate Sushi R 91 a 3.5 out of 5.
