Obviously, just driving into the parking lot like everything just looks so pretty and then going inside. I love the aesthetic of this restaurant had open lighting. It was just really nice the friendliness of the staff was refreshing. The lady who made my order really talked with me and explained certain things to me, and I felt like it was an easy cause. The food was delicious so good I shared with my boys and they really like the food as well. we will definitely be coming down.

First, the staff were really friendly and helpful. The restaurant is clean and easy to walk around in. The Poké was amazing. Not one negative thing to say about it. The onigiris weren't as good. The salmon wasn't very flavorful and the tuna was not one I'd recommend. Besides the onigiris, the shaved ice was a great addition. I would come back here for sure to have the Poké.

Service was quick and employees were very kind. Menu is easy to read and bowls had good portion size

My best friend and I love trying new poke places and we're very happy to hear a new one opened up in this area. Very spacious and clean inside, we love the aesthetics and furnishing! However, the food... not so much. Ordering your bowl is straightforward, we appreciate them labeling everything and explaining what's inside the sauces. Portions were extremely small, more rice than proteins. Rice was not even warm and kinda had that weird hard and old rice texture. Sauces lacked flavor and they charge extra for seaweed salad when other places offer one scoop of it for free as a topping. Two medium bowls cost me $41, that is insane. They gave onigiri if you spend over $20, and as someone who makes and has had authentic onigiri... it was really bland. The onigiri is made and shaped perfectly, but there's absolutely no taste. Probably won't come back solely because there are better tasting and more affordable poke places nearby. It was worth a one and done try type of thing.

Today I got to try their Howse bowl special, which is like a salmon chunk drenched in honey, mustard, or Sriracha and spicy mayo and aïoli and also I don't remember the other sauce I might've mistaken, but overall the taste was really delicious. I did not get to finish my bowl as it was pretty hefty and I immediately felt full after getting half way in. I also got to try their Ube shaved ice dessert, that was really sweet for my own preference, but what was nice about it was the mochi bites that was included as one of the three toppings on the dessert. They have a complementary water fountain, you'll have to ask for ice as there is no ice dispenser around, my cousin and I just basically had tapwater at room temperature. The staff was really patient and friendly. The ambience was super Duper light and bright. I felt like I was in a science lab but anyways I'm bumped into a few friends and also had a great experience with my cousins while enjoying a free meal presented and served by one of the coolest food app curators and lucky me- I had a great experience there. Will I recommend this place? sure why not, food was excellent and fulfilling. Three stars for this place simply because I haven't had enough just yet.

First impression: Very clean atmosphere, nicely decorated, light and bright with friendly helpful staff. Food quality was good. We tried a build your own bowl with Aji, cucumber, edamame, green onion, avocado, artificial crab salad (included), and chili sauce, on rice. That, with two drinks was $26. Price seems a little bit high, and topping options are not as plentiful as other competitor poke restaurants in town. They have hand rolls, which I would like to try next time. Would definitely try this place again.

I really wanted to love this place because the decor is so cute and the staff are incredibly nice, but the food fell short. Parking was a total nightmare, and the portions felt pretty small for the price. The biggest issues were the undercooked, crunchy rice and several flies buzzing around the tables while I tried to eat. It's a cool-looking spot in a great area, but for a pricey poke bowl, the quality just wasn't there. (Update: tummy ache after 30 minutes)

I was super excited to see a new poke spot opening up near me so when I got the soft opening advertisement on my Instagram I was on my way immediately! The space inside was nice and clean. A decent amount of tables if you planned to eat in. Staff were nice. Typically, I'd build my own bowl and load it with salmon but this time I decided on one of their signature bowls. I got the Tuna Lover Bowl and added avocado. It was a pretty pricey bowl running me about $22-23, but I wasn't surprised due to their location. The bowl itself was very tasty. The tuna was marinated well and tasted fresh. They have less toppings here than some of their other competitors, but I feel like solid poke doesn't need any additional toppings. This is definitely the case here. I could eat the garlic oyster tuna alone and be completely satisfied. Overall, I'd be back!

Arrived about 11:30am so it was pretty quiet. Pick your proteins (2 for a small) with free Krab salad. They don't limit you on the number of toppings (I don't like a bunch anyway) so it was nice to pick freely. Up charge for avocado or seaweed salad. Really enjoying my poke. They just need to soak the rice for about 30 minutes before cooking it, makes a big difference in the texture.

A group of us came here for the grand opening and while the line was long, it was expected. It was 50% off your order so we got the large size build your own bowls. The free scoop of crab salad is nice and adds more meat to the bowl. Everything was fresh and the hand rolls were pretty good. It's far from our house but we'd consider coming back if we're in the area!

So excited to be one of the first to review this place! :) We stopped by during their soft opening and had a great time. The build-your-own poke bowls were very customizable, with options like octopus & tofu that aren't always offered at other places. Everything tasted super fresh! You can also mix unlimited toppings & sauces for unique flavors. The space is clean and inviting, and the service was so kind and welcoming. I think my one critique is the amount of food you get for the price; you definitely get a smaller proportion of food here than some other poke places in town. Overall, can't wait to see this place grow over time!

Large portion and very fresh. If you are in town and want some good poke. I highly recommend.

Crispy and tender and even better with the katsu sauce. Now that I'm back from a very long hiatus, I wanted to try something different. I went with the Hawaiian plate. Did that cus it came with Kalua pork and the lau lau which I curious about. I already knew the kalua pork was gonna be good cus I have tried that before but the lau lau was different. It's pork, fish and pork fat wrapped in taro leaves and I think it's steamed. The plate came with two scoops of rice and one scoop of Mac salad. The price is really good $16.99 for all that. Mac salad was nice and creamy. The kalua pork was good but had some big parts that was shredded. And the lau lau was okay.. I think it would've been better if the pork in there wasn't so dry!! The pork fat helped and I honestly couldn't really taste any fish. The taro leaves I had to get used to.. at first bite it reminded me of tea leaves. Could be an acquiring taste to some.. I used the teriyaki sauce and some hot sauce I had at home to finish the whole plate. I got spam musubi for my son and was very disappointed in that. It came in a tiny white paper bag and the rice was sticking to it. The spam was also dry af!!! My bf got the bulgogi fries.. the taste was good but they skimped on the bulgogi and the ones they did put in there, it was mainly fatty parts and my bf hates that shit. They definitely sauced it tf up.. maybe to mask the fact they didn't put enough meat in there. Mainly fries. As for service.. I would say it wasn't the best. The dude that rang me up didn't smile, looked like he was ready to go and looked annoyed that I even came in to order.. nobody was even in there dining. Just mainly to go and pick up orders.. it was pretty quiet besides hearing the chef cook. I got my food and I kept it moving. They have so much on their menu. Not sure if I'll be back. They have good prices tho I will say but a lot of the other Hawaiian spots in Fresno is lowkey better.

The service was fine, and ordering was quick and easy. It's a casual counter-service setup with limited indoor seating and additional outdoor seating, although the outdoor area was way too hot to sit in when I visited. I ordered the #13 grilled teriyaki chicken bowl with white rice and vegetables. I also tried both the sweet and spicy sauces and paid an extra $1 for the spicy mayo. Unfortunately, the food was just very basic and lacked flavor. The vegetables were broccoli, carrots and cabbage, but tasted more like plain boiled vegetables. The chicken was tender, but it seemed more boiled than grilled, with just a little teriyaki flavor added. The rice was plain as expected. The sauces were hit or miss. One had a strong soy sauce flavor with an almost burnt taste, while the other was more like a basic teriyaki sauce. The spicy mayo wasn't my favorite either it was very mayonnaise-heavy and didn't have much flavor. Overall, the meal was okay and filling, but it wasn't anything that made me think, "I have to come back here." I ate most of it, but normally I'd take leftovers home, and this time I didn't feel the need to. 3 stars for me. The service was fine, but the food was just too basic and lacked the flavor I was hoping for from a teriyaki bowl. Maybe I'd try something else on the menu in the future, but I don't see myself coming back specifically for this bowl.

I ordered the **BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger**, and while the presentation wasn't the most impressive, it does come with an onion ring, which is a nice touch. It's not my favorite burger on the menu, but it's still very good. I'd give it an **8/10**. The **Monster Burger** is where it's at, though! This is easily a **9/10** and one of those burgers you really can't go wrong with. The portion size, quality, and price are all excellent, and I especially love that it comes with two different types of cheese. Definitely one of the best options here. We also ordered the **Southwestern Salad**, which was really good. I would recommend asking for extra dressing because it could definitely use a little more. Overall, I'd give the salad an **8/10**. The **fries are always a 10/10**. The side portion is huge and easily enough to share, which makes it an even better value. The drinks are good as well. The **service is always top-notch**. They treat you like family, and the food comes out quickly. I also like that the restaurant has both a traditional service side, where tipping is optional, and a self-service side where you find your own table and pick up your food, so tipping isn't necessary. The **ambiance is one of the best things about this place**. If you're a sports fan, you'll love it. There's tons of sports memorabilia throughout the restaurant and plenty of TVs showing different games. It's a great place to hang out, grab some food, and watch sports. Being right across the street from Fresno State is also a huge plus. The only real downside is the **parking**. They definitely need to find a way to increase the amount of parking because it can be difficult to find a spot. Overall, this is a great place with **good food, generous portions, reasonable prices, excellent service, and an unbeatable sports atmosphere**. Definitely worth checking out!

The one time we have clearly overcooked meat that tastes like horse the manager completely dismissed my 72-yo mother in a very rude way. I guess selling "1000s of sandwiches today with zero complaints" is good enough to completely dismiss us. What likely happened was they saved the overcooked meat till the end of the day (we went 20 minutes before closing) and we were the schmucks that got it. What really pissed me off though is that the manager had veins popping out of his neck. The way he was talking to my elderly mother was inappropriate. Thankfully he cooled down when I walked up to the conversation. All she wanted was to replace our 4 tritip sandwiches with another. Whoever the manager was needs some serious customer service training and needs to learn how to speak to people.

We were in town the morning after seeing the Firefail. Finally success on the third visit attempt. Amongst other shops on the desolate street stood an unremarkable window front where the repeat button has remained on since the 60s. Within was an eclectic mix of Japanese American household fixtures and Americana. Rustic. Nothing like Benkyodo's proper shelf presentation - or a hamburga stand. Some Japanese goods were on offer, but you come here for something sweet. We got a couple of mochi and manju, traditional red bean flavors, because that's all that was left. Their manju, seeming to have a different "batter" and "panini"-grilled, had a crumbly texture. The mochi though... Have you seen that viral video of that slapping mochi shop in Nara? What about people enjoying it? How soft it was, leaving a vegan cheese pull with every bite? This was by far the softest mochi I've ever had, and I thoroughly enjoyed the soy dusted yomogi. The bigger size of the mochi also accentuated the softness of the mochi. The matcha, also green, had a distincting different flavor, just so you know that the shop wasn't cheating. My partner in crime loved the lima bean mochi. The red bean filling tasted homemade, good flavor but not too sweet - the best compliment you can give an Asian in a world that remains overrun by pollo ala naranja. We are proud* that such a heritage perseveres on, especially in a part of town that's honestly become quite desecrated of life. Call ahead to see if the shop is open, and try to come early. The shop is a one woman show, and if my first two visits say anything, this lady enjoys having a life. And yes, she does sell out. She was nearly sold out when we visited. And try to enjoy the mochi ASAP. The mochi will last in the fridge. The texture will not. If you come at the right time of the year, the shop will have mochi in different fruit and pie flavors, and even ice cream mochi. *OK, "I'm proud of you" might be a bigger compliment to an Asian. And yes, there's Fugetsu in LA, but I haven't been. Though if you need a reason to visit the Fresno, you can always take the 99 traveling between SoCal and NorCal... Just need to be early if much is desired. If you're interested in AYCEat mochi, staying healthy, working out for free, and have an eye for the art of making mochi, may I suggest asking the owner for an apprenticeship? The owner's mentioned on articles that there's no one to take over and you don't become a master overnight.
