Honestly everything I've tried from this food truck has been so good, but I'd especially like to give recognition to the spam musubi! They add their own little touch and it is the best I've had in Fresno! The workers are always so nice and helpful when explaining things. This is a food truck favorite in my family and a must try!

They came to visit my workplace and I've been dying to try it for a while! The owners were really sweet in sending me photos of their menu on IG, so I already knew what I wanted to get. I ordered the Monte Carlo roll and takoyaki. My friend ordered the Hamachi roll. Both were super fresh and delicious! The takoyaki was okay, I don't really like it when it's super mushy in the middle. Overall a great experience, it's just that everything is super expensive. It's a once in a while treat.

To start off very friendly staff. I was greeted and helped with the menu which was sweet and simple. We ordered the hamachi lover roll, rainbow roll, unagi dragon roll, and Cali roll. All the sushi rolls were delicious! Nicely made and packed together. The construction of the sushi was good, it was balanced of rice and protein. The fish tasted fresh and well prepared. I was definitely full from that meal, or maybe my eyes were bigger than my stomach! Lol. I can't wait to return and try their rice bowls. My ordered came out super fast and got the order within 3-5 mins.

They were at Enzo's table today. I ordered the orange dragon roll. The worker was kind. I waited a short time and my order was given to me along with well wishes! Fresh and tasty sushi! Good service and sushi! Recommended!

Attended a Fresno Street Eats event. Craving sushi but couldn't have raw sushi so we asked what they offered in their cooked sushi menu and they only had 2 options the tempura roll and Cali. I ordered the tempura roll. I was delicious and very filling, the wasabi looked old and should have asked for soy sauce which wasn't included in the bag. Also wanted to try the macaroons but we were so disappointed that they ran out at the time. The service was great, they were very friendly. Prices were reasonable. Would definitely return to try the rest of the menu.

    Hamachi Lover roll

I got the Hamachi Lover roll. It was pretty good and did not taste 'fishy'. I thought prices on rolls are a bit high for a food truck including basic spicy tuna roll which was $12. That stopped me from ordering another roll. It was near my house so I stopped by to try. Service was nice.

Attended their soft opening today! Excellent customer service and prices are reasonable. I'm so glad they are joining Fresno Street Eats too. They are really quick and I'm glad everything is going so smooth as it's their first day. I would definitely order again. Everything was really yummy! I was glad to see they partnered up with Vanntastic Sweets! Macarons are a must try! There are lots of flavors and all of them are delicious!

We picked up the Monte Carlo and the Unagi Dragon rolls. Very delicious and tastes better than some brick and mortar spots! The service was very pleasant and the cashier was super friendly and food came out fairly quickly

Monte Carlo and Tuna lover... or what's left of it. It was SO good and will be gone soon.

Our server checked in on us right away, suggested great dishes, and even gave us a dessert on the house for our anniversary. The martini was pretty strong, and I liked that it came with a shot of sake. The bone marrow was good, but the salmon spoon really took the show. I think I set my expectations too high for the entrees we got--the sea bass with risotto and uni pasta. They were still tasty, just didn't give that wow factor. Because this is on the pricier side, it's a good place for special occasions, though it's casual enough for just a really good meal.

Not just visually, it actually tastes as good as it looks which isn't always the case. The rolls are creative without being gimmicky and the fish is fresh. The teppanyaki is fun if you want more of an experience, great for groups or dates. Cocktails are solid too. Not an afterthought like at a lot of sushi spots. They clearly put thought into the drink menu. The space feels upscale but not uncomfortable. Like you can dress up or just come after work and both feel fine. Its $$$ so yeah its a splurge, but for Fresno the quality absolutely justifies it. This is the kind of restaurant that makes you feel like you didn't have to drive to the bay for a good meal. Reservation recommended, it gets busy for a reason.

One word of advice: if you're planning to join the waitlist, I recommend calling ahead for a more accurate wait time. The website initially showed no one ahead of us, but after joining the waitlist it indicated several parties were waiting. When we arrived, we were told the wait would be about 45 minutes, which wasn't ideal with a couple of hungry kids. Thankfully, we were seated within about 10 minutes. Our server, Patrick, was fantastic! He provided excellent customer service, took the time to explain the sushi rolls, helped us navigate the kids' menu, and was attentive throughout our meal. Patrick, thank you for helping make my mom's birthday dinner so memorable. Khasey was our chef, and the food was absolutely delicious. He made sure we had every sauce we asked for. The teppanyaki experience for the children was engaging and fun. To top it off, the staff brought out a cute birthday dessert and sang a birthday tune for my mom, which made the celebration even more special. The location is another huge plus. It's situated in a great area near Fresno State with plenty to do before or after dinner, including ice cream shops, boba spots, VR gaming, and movie theaters. Overall, we had a great experience and can't wait to come back!

Whether you're craving sushi, teriyaki, or ramen, they really have something for everyone. The sushi and sashimi are incredibly fresh -- honestly some of the freshest fish we've had at any sushi restaurant. It tastes like the chef went out and caught it that morning. The 14-piece sashimi platter with a couple of rolls was more than enough for two people, and everything was excellent quality. The ramen is also fantastic, but fair warning: the bowls are HUGE, so definitely come hungry. Their garlic edamame is absolutely addictive, and we really enjoyed the poke in the seaweed poke salad, though the dish does lean very heavily on the seaweed, so just keep that in mind before ordering. Cassidy is new to the restaurant and waited on us. an Shewas wonderful -- super friendly, attentive, patient, and just genuinely great service all around. The only downside was the new menu design. The font is extremely tiny, printed on a small laminated sheet, and honestly very difficult to read. Hopefully they make the text larger in the future because the food itself is outstanding. Overall, highly recommend Shobu if you're looking for fresh sushi, excellent sashimi, hearty ramen, and great service.

So when my son asked us to meet him, his lovely wife and our 3 granddaughters for dinner on a recent visit I didn't have my hopes up. Namikaze is a nice quiet restaurant that from its decor could easily be an Italian, French or American restaurant. Just change the paintings on the wall. The Menu is pretty expansive. A full menu of Sushi, noodles, gyoza and rolls made it difficult to choose but eventually we narrowed it down. I always try the Unagi (eel) at any sushi restaurant. It is my barometer for how good everything else will probably be. It was good. I also ordered the Kimono Roll while my wife had Shogun roll. We also tried the Chicken Gyoza. Everything was terrific. Excellent taste and fresh. Next time someone asks me about Fresno I'll say "Fresno! They have good sushi there". Definitely Recommended.

I was immediate greeted by the two Sushi chefs behind the counter as I walked in. Not long after, the host greeted me and handed me a menu for me to select my order to go. I considered a poke bowl, however, their sauces were pretty standard. So instead I opted for their seaweed salad that came with a number of protein including tuna, edamame, shrimp, avocado, and masago. It was $19, so it wasn't necessarily inexpensive, however I figured a poke bowl with a couple proteins would run me right about there as well. The sushi chef got right away to work preparing my meal and I was in and out within 5 minutes. When I got home, I opened up my box and was a little underwhelmed with the presentation. The protein is cut up into small pieces and mixed in with the seaweed salad. In addition it is not pure seaweed as it is also mixed in with a bunch of other greens such as sprouts. So while the presentation was not what I was expecting, I was pleasantly surprised that I really enjoyed the flavors and textures. I will definitely order this again.

I really enjoyed the food in this establishment each time (3) that I've been here... however, this last visit was probably the "worst" of the prior visits (service-wise). The wait for our food was verrrrrry long, our waitress never bothered to check on us or do any refills-- she was more focused on getting her closing shift duties done. I'm all about that-- but I'm damn good at multi-tasking so... idk. Another lady had to pick up her slack but only when we were done eating were we then offered more water (my glass was empty for a while). Our waitress came to give us our check though, ha. My first time here (which I'll have pics of food from that visit as well) was remarkable... like, amazing. Food, service, and all. Might have been with the right crowd, at the right time though... I'd say. They knew exactly what to order too-- all I wanted for sure was the Salmon Spoons (delish). I can't name everything in all the photos I will be attaching except for the goods in my most recent visit. The food has been consistently good... I have no complaints in that department whatsoever. Service, meh. There's very limited space in here as well... not too many tables inside. I felt like we were very close to the other tables. I do believe I remember them serving tables outside as well? I could be wrong. If it was on the food alone, they'd be a 4-5. But, with the inconsistencies with service... 3-4. The waitress was friendly and the food came out fairly quickly once our order was taken ~ less than 10 mins for sure! I ordered the spicy miso ramen ($17.99) with a sweet corn side (+$1.50) and complimentary topping of the fried garlic. The hakata (thin style noodles) were perfectly cooked, with a lil al dente bit to them. It had all the trimmings that I like ~ green onion, chashu, jammy egg, crunchy wood ear mushrooms, naruto fish cake, marinated bamboo, and nori. The broth was authentic, flavored with such depth. You can really taste the slow-cooked, miso quality in it. I loved the fried garlicky taste too! It was the right level of spice, I didn't even need to add any chili oil, like I usually do. My picky daughter opt'd for the "make your own ramen" option (starting at $12.99) ~ getting the same hakata thin noodle with tonkatsu broth, chashu (+$3.25), fried tofu (+$2.50), and freebie toppings of nori, sesame seeds & fried garlic.
