The food is so good. I like to order the specialty bowls. They even have bubble waffles!

The waitress was very friendly and gave our menus .. I ordered 2 eggs with cornbeef hash and grits with English muffin and my grandson ordered the red velvet waffle , my husband ordered the chicken and bit with gravy and my other grandson French toast . Everyone seemed to enjoy there plates and Finshed them . But me the cornbeef hash ( homemade) the sausage was rock hard and potatoes were undercooked slightly . I told the waitresses and she got me a new plate and the potatoes were the same but sausage was better but no flavor to this cornbeef hash.. overall the restaurant was clean and the customer were packing in to get breakfast maybe I ordered the wrong plate? Anyway the decor was very beachy and the atmosphere was very pleasant. Maybe if I'm back in South Carolina I will try different items ..

Aesthetic: Chill waffle, biscuit and grits spot…read more What to try: Make your own waffle or biscuit! Service: Attentive Parking: Limited Rating: 5/5, The food is excellent. We loved the make your own waffle and biscuit options. My husband made his cornbread waffle with fried chicken, eggs, pimiento and bacon jam, and I made my biscuit with fried chicken, eggs, arugula, gravy, and pecan crumble. Both were delicious, I can't wait to go back and try another combo. However, they are massive so definitely shareable if you just do one or take half home for dinner. The portions are truly generous!

It's small, you order cafeteria style before being seated, you seat yourself, and it can get a little noisy. We visited on a Sunday around 2:10 p.m., and there were still plenty of tables available. Then I tasted the food. The menu is built around customization. You can build your own waffle by choosing your waffle, meat, toppings, and sauce. Or build your own biscuit or grit bowl the same way. There are enough combinations that you could come back several times and order something different each visit. I ordered the Chicken and Red Velvet Waffle. It comes with crispy fried chicken, a red velvet waffle, cream cheese drizzle, syrup, and cinnamon butter. The chicken was crispy and juicy, although a few bites were a little salty. Not every bite, and the syrup balanced it out nicely. The cinnamon butter was a nice touch. However the waffles literally disintegrated under the chi My daughter ordered the Crab Cake Benedict Biscuit, and we shared it. It comes with a crab cake, sunny side up eggs, arugula, spinach, and hollandaise on a flaky biscuit. We also shared an order of Crispy Brussels Sprouts. Both were delicious, and the portions were generous enough that we still had leftovers to take home. One thing I liked was the variety of toppings and sauces. I had never heard of bacon jam before seeing it on the menu. If you like to customize your food, you'll have fun here. I came in expecting average and left planning my next visit. Must order: Crab Cake Benedict Biscuit, and the Crispy Brussels Sprouts. Tip: Don't skip the build-your-own options. There are enough combinations to create something every body likes.

Hi Everyone, Johnny…read moreDee's be the place when you want to filla ya face! When you walk in to Johnny Dee's you are greeted with smiles, even at 8:00 AM. Their restaurant is very nicely appointed kinda like a Ski Lodge without snow and the fireplace (it's Myrtle Beach, yo) big, open, and inviting. Our Server Riley was personable, and polite. Our food was out fast, that's right, hot food! The Waffle with a side of bacon was "perfect" with a flavor fantastic, cinnamon forward taste and not too sweet but well balanced, I mean you can always get sugar rush from the syrup but you don't need it. The texture was soft and pliable. The side of bacon was again "perfectly cooked", and three big pieces, so yes Granny, you can save a piece and a half in your purse for your BLT at lunch. Their California Benedict, was "superb", with a terrific taste. Yes, you health freaks can go to Johnny's and keep you figure in tack, while you enjoy the feel of your meal. Then, last but not least, I got the Crab Beast, Benedict. Their portions on all of our meals were generous, but you will really get to feast, on the Crab Beast. I tried the spicy Remoulade sauce which Riley suggested that I put on the side and she was spot on. Thanks Riley! As I lightly tried it on one half of my Crab Beast Benedict, and for me the taste was harsh and just did not blend. However, that is my tastebud sensitivity. I also asked for the old bay on top of the hollandaise because I wanted to taste my poached egg, and that deliciously enthralling crab cake. Yea man, I am definitely a fan, because "it was a so nice", I ate it twice. While I realise that breakfast for some of us is break fast, a pop tart, or cinnamon roll and coffee. To me it sets the tone and tenner for my day. So if you want that pep in your (yea, the coffee for me, could be a little stronger but is good) step, and a song in your heart, than Johnny Dee's be the place when you want to filla ya face! Enjoy!

The sour dough toast was toasted perfectly and pre buttered well. My wife had the same thing except sausage links instead of ham which was delicious as well. Both meals were generous portions and the coffee was excellent served in a carafe. Service was superior and we was greeted when coming in by hostess and on our way out. Prices were in line with the portion sizes. Highly recommend Johnny D's. Well done!
