For entree, I ordered Lingini with clams in a red sauce with pasta fagoli! others ordered chicken or veal saltimoboka, as well as marsala, and some specials. My child has a service dog. Not a pet but an Actual Service Animal that is trained the Dog wears a bright pink vest/ harness with very large and clear patches that say Service Animal. In the past it has never been an issue. While sitting at the table she usually goes inder the table and my kids chair. Never makes a sound Her focus is always on my kid and nothing else. Tonight we walked in and was met with an awkward stare from behind the counter. We didn't even make it 3 feet in. I said hello. I asked if it were a problem. That we have been here before and never had an issue. His response was for him He had an issue. I replied she is a Service Dog. He repeated that he had an issue with it. Not want to create a scene and cause more stress for my kid we left. while we were leaving I heard a woman say to her husband, it says service animal. What I can not believe is that this is a Military Veteran and Active Duty community. We are not the only ones here with a disability. It's a shame. The restaurant was clean and orderly despite the dinner volume of patrons. The salad bar and pizza buffet was freshly stocked and our server asked if we wanted anything special for the bar. Our favorite is the taco pizza and Hawaiian pizza. They made a fresh one of each fresh and even brought us some to the table. We will definitely be coming back soon.
