Tuna, brown rice, seaweed (add-on), corn, scallions, plantain, white ginger, edamame, fried garlic, fried onions

Typical poke bowl, nothing special or amazingly delicious. The tuna didn't have any seasoning or flavor to it, which is a little different than how it's prepared where I'm from. The miso comes free with a bowl, but it's flavorless and was barely warm (11:45pm). I would pass on it unless you add the whole packet of soy sauce and some diablo sauce. Regular bowl with one add-on and tax runs you a little under $20. Overall this is a mediocre tasting poke bowl, but if you want a change in food options this place would work. The interior is very clean and there's AC.

This might be the best poké I've ever had! I ordered from POKÉBAR through DoorDash as soon as I got to my Airbnb because I was absolutely starving, and it was the perfect choice. Delivery was smooth, the portion size was ideal, and all the ingredients were so fresh! I absolutely loved their citrus ponzu sauce and the amount of sushi rice was exactly right compared to everything else. Highly highly recommend!

Poke is fairly new to the island and Pokebar does it perfectly. Plenty of options for both menu items and build your own. The fish tasted very fresh and there was no fishy taste to it. Nice and firm salmon and tuna. They allow you to choose up to 10 mix ins, 4 toppings and 2 sauces. The veggies were all fresh and I appreciate that they dice up the larger items (like jalapenos). Nothing worse than getting a huge slice of jalapeño in one bite and no jalapeño in the next 5 bites. My only complaint is that they should allow more than 2 sauces as complimentary. Most places in the mainland allow you to mix and match as many sauces as you like, and as a sauce person, I appreciate trying different flavors. Overall a great fresh and light alternative to all the rice and fried heavy local places on the Condado strip. Great poke and great service! We did some massive and epic dinners every night during our stay and Pokebar was a welcome light lunch the next day (so good, I came twice).

I wish we could have gone twice to this place to try all the different options they have. It was our last meal in Puerto Rico before heading back home and I am glad we took the time to stop by this place. Definitely a good experience for us

My husband and I were visiting San Juan and staying at the Marriott Stellaris. We took a walk and saw the Pokébar. We ended up have lunch here 2 out of our 3 days in San Juan. Delicious, fresh and clean. It's not just Poké. Check out their other menu items.

Ate here our second night in Puerto Rico. It was amazing. For $14 you can build your own bowl with up to two protein choices, 10 toppings (only a handful are a small up charge), two sauces and then toppings. I read a previous review where someone gave it one star and said portions are small and food is pricey . He must have had a chip on his shoulder because that's not true at all! My bowl was so big I ate half and saved my other half for lunch. Best poke bowl I've ever had. My fish was fresh and sauces were amazing. I told my bf we need to come back one more time at least and that if I lived here I'd have to come all the time. Nice choice for a reprieve from all the fried food around.

Coming Soon. That is Great!!!!!!!

Just walked during my afternoon walk and Poke bar is finally open, I picked up a bowl for me and the wife and we loved it! very fresh fish and good portion size! They'll be seeing me very often. Pokebar.

Beautiful!!!

The greens are always old and have gone bad. They rarely open and close at the time posted on their door.

Food was good and fresh. They have many gluten free options. If you are celiac or cannot eat gluten for other reasons, let them know.

My parents had eaten here before and said it was really good, so we were excited to see if it lived up to the hype. The restaurant had a lively, bustling atmosphere, with a steady stream of customers dining in and picking up takeout orders. Even though it was busy, the staff kept things moving efficiently. Even for a large order, the wait was only about 30 minutes. They have a separate pickup area for to-go orders, which made the process organized and easy despite how busy they were. We ordered the beef fried rice, house fried rice, churrasco steak, house lo mein, sesame beef, jumbo shrimp, chicken wings, fried pork, pork ramen, and three sushi rolls. The kids in our family chose the Philly Roll, Salmon Avocado Roll, and Red Dragon Roll, and they really enjoyed them. I had originally planned to order a different sushi roll from the menu, but it wasn't available that day. It wasn't a big deal, though, because the rolls we did get were fresh and delicious. Everything was flavorful and well prepared. The churrasco steak was my personal favorite--the meat was incredibly tender and already well seasoned on its own. My husband wasn't a fan of the accompanying sauce, but he agreed the steak itself was excellent. We also really enjoyed the fried rice, and the portions were generous. They were also generous with the condiments and included a variety of sauces with our order, which we appreciated. The only thing we missed was chili oil, since it's a condiment we usually expect to have available at Chinese restaurants. If you're staying nearby or looking for a restaurant that offers both Chinese and Japanese cuisine, Tayzan is definitely worth checking out. Just be prepared for a crowd--it seems to be popular for a reason!

I was recently inspired by an IG story by the supermodel, Paulina Porizkova where she spoke about…read morehow governments turn people against each other to control the population. Citing how she was born into communism, then lived in socialist countries and now has made a home in a capitalist society, she spoke with authority about what is happening in the world right now. She eloquently reminisced about her experience in a communist country, where the enemies were the capitalists who, "kept us from achieving our full potential," in the former republic of Czechoslovakia. The overarching message is that there is more power in unity than being in a fragmented society where its people scramble for truth, justice and freedom. A concept like Godai can only exist in a free society. Everywhere I went on this recent trip to Puerto Rico, I heard people talk about this restaurant: on business meetings, at drinks at a hotel bar and from local friends. Apparently, it's a bit of a social media darling among locals. And, there's good reason. What started as a speakeasy omakase establishment by chef couple Cesar and Daysi is now a full-service restaurant with 3 different spaces: izakaya, omakase tasting room and zen garden. Only in an environment where people have the liberty to pursue their passions, learn techniques from different cultures and there's a free exchange of ideas, can a restaurant in one island nation be inspired by the culinary traditions of another island nation. My dining companions and I were so inspired by the well orchestrated and attentive service, I asked Chef Cesar whether he had made everyone read Will Guidara's "Unreasonable Hospitality." He demurred with humility and said, "we're still trying, and thank you." The food was phenomenal. I'm pretty sure it's the first time I've had black truffle shaved over my tuna crispy rice, and it was tasty. We also had the bluefin and salmon crudo, duck fried rice, spicy edamame, shishito peppers, robata miso black cod, Alsatian white wine, unfiltered sake and panna cotta with raspberry. I noted how authentic everything looked and tasted, but there was a local twist and cariño expressed in every dish. This was not fusion, but Japanese food seen through a local lens. It's not so much that they're trying to recreate an experience in Japan, but paying homage with respect to Japanese gastronomy. You might think that Japan and Puerto Rican cultures are polar opposites, but food brings people of all types together. Godai is a great testament of this, and Paulina would certainly enjoy this spot for so many reasons.
