I bought a 2025 570 eps Sportsman in June and it's been in 3 times for breakdowns in less than 2 months, each time they had it for 3 weeks and I'm guessing they didn't know how to solve the problem because if they did it wouldn't have taken 3 weeks each time. It was getting to be that they had it more than i did. I'm really sorry I bought a Polaris and it's only a 6 month warranty BTW. I've canceled my service plan and will be trying to sell it, I just don't trust anymore that I can get a few miles on a trail and have issues with it. Going to look at Suzuki, they have 2 year warranties on their quads. It's a shame that you buy something brand new and have to go through all this stress and breakdowns. read more

When I got the quad back one engine screw was stripped and wasn't told until I called to point it out that they would replace it. Mentioned carburetor was cleaned, but it was not inside nor outside. Was sold a defective front tire on my bike- less than a 100 miles I returned it. Was treated poorly then, days later they agreed it was bad, but NO refund, in store "credit" went to use credit, with original paperwork, nope. left copies of documentation, manager NEVER called. Counter person suggested they gave me a replacement tire, with no paperwork, just "cause"? My paperwork shows due an instore credit, no documentation showing I received a replacement tire. Checked out State 8 for the first time when I was around Peninsula. I was in need of a new motorcycle helmet and found that they were an ARAI dealer which I was set on buying. The associate that helped me out with fitting and questions was extremely knowledgeable and took quite a bit of time to answer all of my questions. I was very impressed with the facility and the care their staff takes to help you out while you are there. I went to state 8 motorcycle to test drive and possibly purchase a 2016 polaris slingshot they had in stock. I filled out the credit application, and they ran my credit notifying me i qualified for a rate of 5.9% with a $2000 promotional rebate. I told them i wanted the promotional 1.9% financing rate that was advertised, not the rebate. They ran my credit a total of 5 additional times to drive my score down from the hard inquiries prior to submitting my credit application to the company offering the promotional rate, Sheffield bank. I was forced to place a $100 deposit on the vehicle prior to my application being submitted to Sheffield in order to apply for the promotional financing. The 1.9% financing was rejected because my score was just a couple points "too low" they said it needed to be 700, and following the 6 hard inquiries state 8 ran it was 688. They refused to issue me a refund for the deposit, nor would they cancel the credit card transaction. I refused to provide them with any credit card numbers, for obvious reason, and they will not process the refund. I requested the owner, Paul Compton, call me...and the sales man would not comply. Place is generally OK, but I totally disagree with their service philosophy. Twice now I have needed Polaris warranty work on separate machines within a few months of purchase. They do not take appointments at all and instead expect you to bring your machine in to get on the schedule and let it sit there for weeks until they finally get to it, wait on parts from Polaris, etc. The machines sit outside every day also, regardless of weather. Maybe a convenient way of doing service work for them - no commitments to customers at all, no schedule to keep, etc - but it sucks from the customer's perspective. Any sort of communication along the way is nonexistent as well. State 8 is 10 mins from my house, but I will be going elsewhere for future service needs. read more

All day I went bike hunting and knew what I wanted and getting offers from other places as well! I went to state 8 thinking I was going to get a deal and be treated like a king, well I was dead wrong and I mean dead wrong. Yes when I 1st entered into the building to look at bikes, sales person came to me right away and showed me around, but was also to busy with everyone else as well! I also told the salesperson what bike I wanted and I knew how great my credit was and knew that I'll be fine on any loan and have leverage for how great my credit score is. So I told the salesperson I want this new bike and would pay full price for it, then I said I wanted 2 jackets, 1 Helmet, and 2 pairs of gloves for free since I'm spending so much money! Keep in mind I wasn't looking at the most expensive stuff. He went to his manager and came back and said no to us! So I feel this place will not give you freebies for how much you spend or anything at all! He didn't even come back with a counter offer, there counter offer was its the last bike on the floor and we are going to hold this over your head in around about way! I'm sorry, but when did State 8 Motorcycles become a money hunger pig and not take care of the customers. Then come to find out all they care about is the money and they don't care about you at all. To them, all you are is a price tag and how much money can we make off these people each and every day!. Now get this kicker. Went to another place and told them what state 8 told me and the offer I put on the table for a new bike and they told me that state 8 was wrong and you spend over 10k for a new bike and not going to give a customer something to make them feel like you cared. When I got to the other place and they told me that, they didn't have the bike I wanted, but the manager came out and told me if he had that bike in the shop, he would right on paper right now that he would give me what I asked for, if I bought a brand new bike. To sad for State 8 and they suck... Now I even went to a 3rd place and did the same thing, but they now had my bike as well! They where closing soon and I told the sales person what I wanted if I bought a new bike and told him what state 8 did and he told me call him on Monday and he will do his best to get what I want in return for buying a new bike from them. Don't get me wrong, I love the product. I don't care at all for their service department. I have taken it to them multiple times and either my Atv is damaged, something left undone or they can never fix the problem. The service manager, Kelly was very rude and told me I should take my Atv somewhere else. The manager of the store,Paul, acts like your friend but can never get the problem fixed either. Would never say just bring it back and we can fix it. Actually hung up on me. What professionalism. If you have a problem take it somewhere else. Ordered a Hell Cat windshield for my Honda on April 22, long before riding season began here in NY, heard nothing for two weeks, which was ok, still cold out. Tried to contact State8 on their website and found very little contact info except a standard form. Filled that out and waited again. In mid May, I sent an email to them about the order, still heard nothing. By May 25, sent another email to State8 requesting a ship date, still nothing. Sent another email to State8 last week, June 2. Still no response. I suggest not buying from State8 online with this type of service. read more
