Over priced!! To replace my one part they asked for 2,400 and refused to used the parts I bought. Took my car to another dealership and it only cost me 800 even if they didn't use my part at the new place it would have been 1200. So Webers shouldn't be your first choice to get your car fixed unless money isn't that important to you. read more

Expensive, very expensive!! I took my car in running rough which turned out to be a defective ignition coil. First it cost $200 to diagnose, and then another $430 to replace it (which included $300 for one ignition coil - ouch). The time to replace one of those is 5 mins tops, so I fixed it myself (cost: $120 for OEM part). Full disclosure, I can't speak for their work since I didn't have them do the work. The issue was that the full quote included replacing spark plugs, brake fluid, and a serpentine belt, all of which are less than 6 months old and didn't need replacing. It also included a quote for rear brake rotors and pads for just shy of $700! That would put a four wheel brake job at $1500 or more. That's just insane. I feel bad for people that can't do their own repair work, or don't know enough to know when they're being quoted for work they don't need. My advice would be to always get a second opinion. read more

Recently I had a soured experience with my reliablz autoshop i had for last 7 years. Frustrated with imediate need of new auto mechanic shop and with present car issues, i drive west Two blocks down on lorain road in north olmsted. I find Weber's Automotive for the first time and i leave my car and my keys in drop box, desperate that one they can fix the issue, secondly i hope the are trustworthy in bussiness an work ethics. Then the next day i was anticipating the call with gut wrenching fear of the money pit repairs this new shop will surprise me with. Nope, it did not happen. They have this counter service guy named "Jason K." that was friendlier than family, well at least my family that is. Jason was not there to pushy sell me things my car did not need. He openly discussed diagnostic results and gave all information for me to make a knowledgable decision. Repairs were made by tech "Anthony Z." and so far so good! I made an imediate trip to akron that weekend and drove it all week to work issue free. So im confident i found a new reliable, trustworthy, dependable Automotive service center driving forward. Rick F Took my Tahoe here just to get a price on a exhaust system, it just need it a simple repair, they wanted to replace the entire y-pipe and convertor, all that it need it was w a y-pipe to manifold gasket. They wanted 800.00 to do the job. When I picked up the vehicle they hit me with a 60.00 inspection fee, for something that I had already told them about. I would not recommend going here because they are going to bill you for knowing . I could understand a 20.00 fee but 60.00 is just highway robbery...stay away. read more

Let me begin this by saying that Weber Automotive did, eventually, fix my car. However, I have never experienced such terrible customer service before a place like this. I brought my car in during March due to a cylinder misfire. It took one week for Weber to contact me regarding the main issue with my car. I then proceeded to wait weeks for them to fix my car, all while having to borrow one of my parent's cars since I'm not old enough to rent a vehicle. Weber informed me about their rental cars well into the repair process, but after they found out that I'm not old enough to rent one for insurance reasons, the offer was never made again. My car is a foreign-made car, and I understand that it takes time to remove the parts of the car in order to clean and repair the cylinder. However, every time I would call for an update (after a long period of no communication), I was told they were "working on it", or, if no progress had been made, there were "emergencies" that kept coming up. Sometimes I was unable to connect with my service advisor Jason, and was told that I would get a call back that never came. I was not looking for daily updates, but I would much rather hear that there were no new updates from someone than just assume everything was "business as usual" when I heard nothing. When Weber finally fixed the first issue with the cylinder (cleaning and resealing), Weber told me they had to replace the exhaust valve, and raised the quote substantially from what I was initially quoted (the new quote was now approximately $3500). I waited weeks to finally be told that they were close to putting everything back together. When they did reassemble my vehicle, they put it together incorrectly, causing another three weeks of waiting for my car to be returned. This is something that Weber admitted fault but never apologized for. When my car was finally fixed in June, I was shocked to find that the final price was even higher than the last quote (now $4300). When asked why, I was told that Weber had to perform additional service not in the initial quote. Weber also recharged my air conditioner and replaced the oil, and then charged me for these services I did not request. I understand that these are services that needed to be done, but they and the prices for them were never mentioned. Every single time I contacted Weber, I was assured that the ~$3500 quote I was given had not changed. This was not the case in the end. In hindsight, I should have received a quote in writing rather than over the phone, but I felt that I could trust a place that promotes "Honest and Fair Auto Repair" in their title. In total, I waited thirteen weeks for my car to be fixed, putting strain on my family for borrowing their car. I have never experienced such awful service from a company. I would be extremely cautious about taking a car there ever again, because nothing about this place seems "honest" or "fair." read more

Well there is a reason for everything...and for reasons I best not go into, I ended up with a Trifecta of crappy circumstances, student loans, underemployment/poverty and a 1998 Chrysler Van. Being new to the area, I ran through a few local auto shops who, let's face it, with a vehicle that age, tried to milk my credit card regularly for repairs that may or may not have been needed. Then I tried this small local shop. Like many businesses with the family name stamp, there is a sense of pride and commitment to the work they deliver and their customers. They have very good mechanics (Tony crushes it) who have been there for many years. Fast forward six years...that POS van is still running thanks to Weber. Because they have kept my jalopy going, being honest about what is needed for safety and to keep the vehicle fairly reliable, I have been able to obtain a more stable employment situation (due to the above mentioned underemployment I am now gorging myself on 2 jobs) and am on the way to turning a Trifecta of crap into a Trifecta of "Winning"! Weber provides great service, fast and while not necessarily cheap, very fair and honest. I would highly recommend supporting this local small business. read more
