I have used Riders Choice as my preferred service provider for my 2003 BMW F650CS for about 10 years now and they have always given me really good service. Riders Choice is not a dealer, rather it is a motorcycle repair shop which also will have some used bikes for sale as well as some incidental accessories. The building is nothing very pretty, but once you get a look into the service area, you will notice that they are clean and well organized. They have been very good on the prices they have quoted me and given time they can usually find reasonable prices for parts, tires and batteries. Most service will require you to leave your bike for a couple of days to a week, but their time estimates are usually right on. I have seen them work on various BMWs and almost every other brand of motorcycle. I would recommend Riders Choice as a more affordable alternative to most motorcycle dealers service. Also if you live on the East Side, their location will be more convenient. read more

This place does great work! I took my phantom 750 custom here with a front end shimmy problem. Other shops and dealers told me it could be so many things that they couldn't help without going back to all stock parts. After taking it here the owner said if we adjust the steering bearings and put new tires on it (that I needed anyway) it would be fixed. Got it back in time for a run the next day and it rides flawless now. Very happy with the knowledge and quality of work. read more

This is a great dealer; one of those that people should go out of their way to do business with. While traveling, I was in need of a tire, and gave them a call as they are located a few miles from where we were staying. Kate was super friendly, and went out of her way to source and have quickly delivered a non-standard tire (Pirelli Scorpion 150-70/18). I showed at 10:00AM the next day, and they quickly spooned on the tire, made certain the air pressure was as desired, the chain adjusted as desired, and also lubed the chain and replaced a missing tube stem bolt. The dealership has apparently been in business for ~20 years, this being their second location, and I can understand why. Glancing over the myriad makes and models of motorcycles waiting for service, they appear to be very confident and capable across a broad spectrum. I bought a used motorcycle and needed new tires. Since I like to keep my business on my neighborhood I found this dealer on line and called for price. The price at rider choice was much higher then other dealers so I put the number aside and planed on going somewhere else but then I got a call from rider chose saying they have cheaper tires they can order different brand for cheaper but they need $100 deposit so I paid it over the phone and dropped the bike few days later. Once I came back I saw they put the wrong kind of tires on the bike and the owner said it will cost me about $150 more then I planned to spend and there is nothing he can do about it. I paid the high price and never again to deal with them. So, if you want someone to cheat you and lie to you and you never know what they do to the bike so go there.... read more

Rider's Choice - I've been using these guys for 11 years and 3 bikes. Came in with my first bike as it was sluggish and felt it needed carbs tuned. The owner, Bela talked to me and made a few suggestions. Told me he would look at it, but needed a few days. Called me the next day letting me know he could fix it for about 1/3 of the price we had discussed, but wanted to adjust the rear brake as well. The bike was ready the next day. He also advised me on maintenance that I could perform on my own along with winter storage tips. The next bike was a 1985 Goldwing. It needed some immediate work that he handled very reasonably. He gave me a choice between buying my own tires or having him mount tires that I purchased from him. After a little research, I found that the tires I was intending to purchase were not the same quality as those of the same brand that were available to him. Needless to say, I made the purchase from him and he performed the service at what I felt to be a very reasonable price. While mounting the tires, he discovered an issue with the rear brake which he repaired and charged me $15 additional dollars for the repair - well worth it. A short time later the stator failed, a very expensive issue. He was able to find a match on Ebay and install it. He kept the bike running in top shape for 3 years. He and his staff treated me very well while working to keep costs for repairs to a minimum. Love these guys! When I finally bought a new Goldwing, I took it over and they were impressed with the bike and let me know that they were available for any advice, aftermarket parts and repairs out of warranty. I still use them for winter storage. They take excellent care of my baby during those cold months. I can't recommend them highly enough. These guys are great! I've been working with them for about 8 years. The pricing is very reasonable and they do great work. I store the bike with them in the winter because I don't have a garage. The bike is ready ride for the season when I pick it up in Mar or Apr. The price for storage is real competitive and the one year I had to rent a place at a storage facility...well I'll always be storing my bike with Bela at Riders Choice. They started out very nice but don't let nothing go wrong with the work they did they (Baila) get major attitude as if they are perfect and don't want to stand behind there work. They repaired my lights and put a new power comand in, my bill was almost 900.00. My lights burned out the first time i had them on took it back they fixed it and said we will not fix them any more ok. I told them from the begining my bike was running good but its bogging down at high speed He told me to down shift or it will start dumping gas again because it's map really good. Ok, well i don't ride much because the way i work and i have 2 bikes. I went on vacation and started riding my bike and it rides like shit. I called and said just that and why did i say that he told me he can't satisfy me he will not work on my bike any more and take my vike else wear. He was tired of me putting his mechanics down and he was not going to argue with me. All i kept saying was your not letting me tell you whats going on. He said it's 2 month later i said i don't ride my bike alot check my miles if i got 500 miles since he did the work that's good for me. WELL IT'S SAD HE SAID HE WILL NEVER TOUCH MY BIKE AGAIN. read more
