Food was awful. Chimichanga meat tasted like soap. Fish tacos smelled very fishy and tasted really fishy. Rolled tacos tasted like frozen taquitos from the store. Salsas were watery and flavorless. Beans and rice tasted from a can. It's not often that I feel the need to write a very poor review, but there wasn't a single good thing about this food. I was disappointed because I heard good things, the services was great, and the price was much better than other places. However, after tasting the food, I just simply cannot recommend this place at all, hopefully it is just a one time thing, but I don't think I will return to give it another chance. read more

I tried the chicken burrito, chicken hard taco, asada soft taco, chorizo torta, and the marinated pork torta. The chicken was pretty decent but has a lot of juice that made it salty at times. The asada was too tough and not very flavourful. The chorizo torta had egg which masked the chorizo flavor and took over the sandwich. The pork was similar in that it didn't have a ton of flavor but the lack of egg made it stand out better. The tortilla ripped when I attempted to pick up the taco and the tortilla wasn't great. Too chewy and the grease made it unpleasant to hold. The lettuce and beans had an old taste to it. Overall the food is pretty cheap and they do give you free refills on aqua frescas. I'd say this is a very University Mexican food style of cheap food that's open till late albeit at the cost of quality. read more

Only thing keeping this from 5 stars is that they dont serve alcohol. The taco sauce is self serve and I love that because I use a lot. The chips are also self serve. The tacos are delightfully deep fat fried with a ton of seasoned meat. My husband had the carne asada burrito, filling and flavorful. This place tosses Weight Watchers diet plan, out the window but worth every point you will rack-up here. I will come back on a weekend to taste the Menudo. The help is friendly too. There are dozens of little taco shops out here, you can't drive more than a mile without seeing one. But this place is anything but generic. In fact, it's AMAZING! Everything you order here is bigger than you expect for the low prices. If you get anything besides a simple taco or burrito, use the buddy system because you'll NEED help finishing the majority of meals on their menu. My favorite dish on the menu is the carne asada fries. The meat is thoroughly seasoned, and the whole dish is smothered in guacamole and sour cream. I was excited to see the cook throwing on two freaking handfuls of shredded cheddar to make it all oh-so perfect. It's $8, making it one of the most expensive eats they have, but it takes TWO people to finish it, unless you're Adam Richmond or something. The place is always sparkling clean, it doesn't look shady, and the service is kind and quick. After I order, my food is usually out by the time I finish a game on the Ms. Pacman machine in the corner. Best of all, the lobby (and drive thru!) is open 24 hours. So whether you're craving some chorizo for breakfast, or looking for a nice rich meal after a round of late night drinking, this is going to be your new spot. This is as good as it gets - for cheap, fast, fresh and awesome Mexican food. I always have to stop at this location for a breakfast burrito with no less than 5 cups of hot sauce and a horchata. The burrito is enough to eat on for the whole day, but the horchata is gone too quickly. The early morning staff are always friendly guys just waiting for an order. I used to be a loyal customer who would constantly recommended the place until a string of awful visit. The last few visits have been full of mistake after mistake. I would ask for something simple like no lettuce with guac on the side and they would constantly mess it up every single time. I live right by here so I have given this place so many chances as they are the only thing open late in my neighborhood. I've tried so many dishes. The meat has no flavor chicken or beef. Tortas have soggy bread. Carne asada burrito is disappointing. Again NO FLAVOR. It tastes like they boil their meat it does not taste like its off the grill. First reactions: limes behind the counter are obviously not from today it's 9am and they're brown. I watched an employee drop a whole sleeve worth of unwrapped cups on the floor and just pick them back up and stack them. The floor is sticky and there is trash and food on it. The food here was delicious. Very big servings, so it is cost-efficient . You can split the carne asada fries with 3 good appetites. (Guacamole!!) My bf got the tortas and they were amazing as well. For 15 bucks we got a huge lunch, a decent dinner, and a soda. Not bad at all. The dinning tables could have been kept a little cleaner, but bf said I was just being picky. Haha. I probably am.
