The workers are always friendly and so personable. The restaurant itself is so clean. I moved out of the neighborhood last year and still travel about 20 mins to get their food! Ordered the breakfast burrito, chicken rolled tacos, and their hot carrots with jalapeños. The food was freshly prepared, hot to order. As a neighborhood gringo, the bacon was crispy the way it's supposed to be. The potatoes were crispy, and the egg didn't taste like powdered eggs at some other restaurants. Nothing wrong with these besides the usual of not being crispy enough. The guac was a light green color at this place. So With #SocialDistancingPhoenix in full effect we tried to determine what was for diner. We went down the same road as always, but I had a Hankering for Mexican Authentic Taco's (No TacoWell) was not an option. So we called our Number 1 Spot - Closed on Monday, and Number 2 was so slammed it was 65 minute car wait. so we went with another place in walking distance Hilberto's. Now I am going to say in the past 10 years, I have come to know them pretty well, and the last 3 years unless the the Black Audi SUV was there. Nothing personal to the rest of the staff, but when she was there, it was always Perfect, Always fresh and delicious. With it being what it is, I gambled and did not see any vehicle sitting in or around the parking lot. All I notice was a sign "We are still Open - Please use Drive Thru". So I did, kept it super simple, 4 Beef Tacos 4 Chicken Tacos Chips with Melted Cheese and Pico de Gallo Thats It.. Got them home and was Scared, and surprised..!! The bag and food was HOT! Cheese was melted on tacos and chips Pico and red and green sauce was Ice Cold..! Needless to say 4 Tacos did not last long. Time to hit the treadmill... My God it was all good, and I am not sure how it was possible. I will say this I will test them again on a Carne Asada Burrito Other than than.... its treadmill, Taco Tuesday Place searved some rightious food that you could tell the Oil was fresh,...Clear and no bad or old oil taste. Every Saturday/Sunday but 90% of the time I go rolling through the drive thru :) Mostly we are very satisfied. I can't recall any time that we had old beans. Please keep them fresh, My husband can taste bad beans a mile away! We only had a few times where the potatoes were not cooked all the way. Some times we will make a quick stop at night and there was a young girl there, and they missed the beans and hardly any eggs. So all in all sometimes just not consistent. Otherwise they gentleman who greats us every weekend is super nice. This place is usually spot on unless the older guy is working and then you are overcharged and will not help you at all, he refuses to put fries in a Cali burrito even though that is what makes a cali burrito a cali. I came here for lunch cuz I was craving Mexican food even though the outside of the building is pretty sketchy sometimes those places make the best food, not this place the burrito was dry and gross and to boot the beans they serve me were rotten, having gone through the drive-in I didn't discover this until I got home so I came back and let the owner know that the beans they serve were rotten she said that isn't possible we just made a fresh batch I told her to try the beans that she gave me and she refused, I said that I would like a refund for my meal because I didn't eat most of it however she totally refused to give me a refund anyway offered me their charro beans instead which at this point my stomach was sick because the beans they served were absolutely rotten I did not want more of their food they refuse to give me a refund and the owner was totally in denial. read more

*YUMMY* is all I have to say about this place. It's your typical cheap Mexican food place that are a dime-a-dozen in Phoenix. This has always been one of my favorites though. The carne asada burrito is huge and well worth the $5.25 you'll pay for it. The place doesn't look so great from the outside and the drive-thru is a little strange, but it's delicious.
