I'm pretty tough on nails & I don't know if it's the product they use or his technique but my nails stay on longer & do not "lift" like they do when I have them done other places? Danny always shapes my nails exactly how I'd like them:). He has been telling me about the dipping powder for quite a while & I finally tried it. I will never go to this nail salon again. First of all, it is completely unsanitary, she tried to use nail clippers that looked like they had nail residue on them and my mom asked if they could give her a clean one. While they were about to electric file my gel X nails I noticed the box with all of the file inserts was covered in nail residue. Disgusting. When she was finished with my nails, I asked for a gem because they just looked too bear and they wanted to charge me $10 I agreed, but then the woman started filing the actual gem for some reason and took out some of the diamonds. Horrible service. Walked into an empty salon (only 2 other people in the entire place). Sat down for 2 pedicures. One women comes out and starts mine while my mom waits. 20 minutes goes by into this 45 minute pedicure, she's cuts me, and still no one has come out to start the other. We say okay like is no one else here? So we're going to do one pedicure so fast you're cutting me then start the other as the other person waits? This doesn't work. We're done we'll pay for half this pedicure because we're not even half way done and we're leaving. The women agrees and we go to pay and walk out and proceed to getting yelled at by 2/3 workers of the salon and not allowed to leave until we pay $45 for 1 not even half done pedicure, while im actively still bleeding, and one person sitting for over 20 minutes. A scam and robbery. An absolute waste of money and a joke. Go literally anywhere else. UPDATE It's been over an hour and idk how deep in the side of the nail the cut is but it's still bleeding. The service was okay overall--the polish came out nice--but they didn't do a massage, which was disappointing. I think I just prefer Imola Nails; maybe I'm used to how they do things. The main issue was the pricing. Their brochure and website both showed lower prices. I got my kid a mani-pedi package listed for $25, my gel pedi was listed for $35, and an eyebrow wax for $10. When it came time to pay, they charged $45 for the kid's mani-pedi, $55 for my gel pedi, and $15 for the eyebrow wax. I understand prices can change, but they had a whole stack of brochures and their website still shows the old prices -- that's not okay. They also said the kid's price only applies to ages 7 and under, even though it clearly says "10 and under." They refused to honor it. I still paid and tipped (probably shouldn't have), but I won't be going back. The place wasn't very clean, and there were barely any customers -- which probably explains why Imola Nails is always busy and people actually leave happy. read more

Services was extremely rushed as people started trickling in right after my service started. Massage was about a minute long, no dead skin was cut from my toes or my nails. I got my nails done here and it hurt. The girl Kathy cut my cuticles so bad I think it might get infected. The nails were not the best I chose a very simple design and she messed it up. Zero stars! Don't think you can walk in and get two pedicures together if you don't have a reservation. They don't have more than three people working there and they won't tell you that one of your group will be sitting for 45 minutes with their feet in water while you get your pedicure. Nor will they suggest you wait until they can do you together! After 30 minutes, we left and was still charged full price for a half done pedicure, oh yeah they took off $5 because I refused to finish so no polish charge!! read more

Went here for manicure with friends. One of us asked for a regular manicure but her lady did gel nails. Why would you do that? Mine was the most ridiculous gel manicure I have ever experienced. The woman started filing my nails with a very rough file, no water, no cuticle trimming/cleaning, she filed the old gel off and was pretty rough, then started painting them right away. She was bad at putting on the polish. It was so patchy that she had to grind one off to restart one nail. She piled on so much gel polish then brought another bottle and did the left hand, it looked terribly patchy and once the colors were dry, she used the same rough file to grind the tops and sides and the surface of the nails. I asked her to stop being rough and stop but she kept going and gave me jolts three or four times. By the end, I was dying to finish and get out knowing they looked terrible. Then noticed two fingers were bleeding and colors weren't the same on the nails. I showed my bleeding finger to Kathy and the man who looked like the owner. Kathy didn't know what to say but the guy said 'just a little hurt it's ok' Actually, it's not ok to draw blood. What a complete nightmare. There was no one in the shop except for us, now we understand why. Save yourselves, do not go here. I paid cash, tipped and left. Will NEVER return. read more

I was in a rush to get a manicure and pedicure done without checking out the reviews first. This was the worst mani-pedicure ever. He basically just cut my nails down, barely shaped it and file it so the edges are shaped nicely and smooth, cuticles skin barely trimmed. It was pure laziness. Also, the orange filing looked used even though it came from the supposedly sanitary "tool" packet. I love supporting small business but not when services are horrendous. For those looking for a nail place, your best bet is to try another place. read more

The people were very nice and the studio seemed clean. After my daughter and I left, however, her finger started hurting and we realized they had cut very deep around her cuticles. She was bleeding slightly and it was red. sore, and already oozing. We also noticed little air holes all around our nails (and some other more minor issues). When I called, they offered to redo our nails which I expected but given my daughter's very sore and already infected looking nail as well as how some of my cuticles were also feeling a bit raw (but not like my daughter's). I explained that we were not comfortable returning and I would really just like a partial refund (not a full refund as they did do work that should be compensated). I even offered to send them pictures. I was repeatedly ignored in that request and then eventually told no. He didn't acknowledge that we did not feel comfortable returning due to our cuticles clearly not being handled correctly and my concerns about the quality of the product used. I explained why repeatedly and again, was simply told no. I think these are nice people but their product is old, my daughter had to repeatedly point out missed spots on her nails only to find more spots when we got outside, her finger is very sore so I'm worried about infection, and we paid about $50 only to come home with the most horrible nails I've ever had from a salon. I'm so bummed the manager/owner wasn't willing to concede any real assistance to us given the circumstance. We won't be going back. read more

I feel like experience here has a lot to do with who you get. The older man is very kind. Everyone is nice enough and accommodating enough, however the quality is low. My nails are fine after making various nitpicky requests, but if I had walked out as they were first left, this would rank among the worst gel manicures I've had. It's lumpy and uneven, she did execute my off beat request though. The pedicure is fine. Maybe stick to regular polish here. First time here, Amy did my nails. She's very friend and tries for you to leave very satisfy with her work. I didn't like something on my nails and she changed whatever I was not happy with. Tuan did my sister nails and he did an amazing job as well. For my nails I got charged $30 natural color with glitter in the tip. The nail place it's in a great location, next to Starbucks, food, etc. the place is very cool, very clean and nice looking. I've tried this place a few times for pedicures and it's hit or miss ... a couple of the men down there do a good job on pedicure with nice massage. I've had pedicures from ladies working at Polished Nail that have zero attention to detail and seem bored and aloof. Got it!! Get the guys. Went in two weeks ago and got a great gel manicure from a gentleman there ... I loved it. After two weeks in Mexico with lots of water and oils the nails had peeled. Not the fault of the gel mani at all so I went down for another. Kathy was the only one available, so I went for it. Bad choice. Very sloppy. I have nails that aren't evenly shaped. She applied thick layers of base (x2) plus color (x3) and top coat but they are thicker in some places than others. She cut my cuticle so I had a bleeder. Some of my nails have the polish applied right up to the cuticle - some touching the cuticle (not good) some have a bigger space (not good either), the edges aren't clean. The over all appearance is sloppy and amateurish. I didn't want to complain in front of their other customers so I asked the owner to step outside. I showed him my hands and pointed out all the problems... he said that's the way they are supposed to look and it's a good job. Not in my opinion. I thought for sure he would look and say "next time I'll have someone do them/fix them for you at no charge. This isn't they kind of work we do..." but he didn't he actually said "not thick", "not uneven" "not sloppy" as I'm looking at thick, uneven, sloppy work nails. I have to keep these on since it's hard on nails to remove gel. But when it's time for a refresh I won't be going back ... ever. Too bad. They lost a customer in me today!! read more

I would give them negative stars, if possible. The nail technician used tools pulled from an open bag. I saw him save the bag and then put the used tools back in it. He didn't use gloves, clean my nails nor did he cut all of them. Once he was done, I skipped polish and asked another technician to cut and clean my nails. She said she would take care of it and also proceeded to use tools from an open bag. She then jammed the tool so far under my nail bed that I started to bleed. The ABSOLUTE WORST I had an appointment and arrived on time. From the beginning I had a feeling that this was not going to end well. By far, this is the VERY WORST pedicure I have ever had. The nails are all uneven the polish is clumping and this is what they look like after I asked for them to clean up cuticles since polish was all over my feet. Diane used 5 coats of polish trying to even it out which would take hours if not days to dry. The customer next to me even slipped me a note saying she was terrible and never goes to her. I left after paying and a tip and once home realized how bad they actually were. I returned to get my money back and they gave me a hard time saying they'd fix it. Forget it! I'm very picky with my nail salon and I got lucky that this one close to my house is an awesome salon. Very clean stations and tools, accommodating for walk ins and good with appointments. Great massage chairs for pedicures with lots of options for pedicure upgrades (cuz sometimes you just gotta spoil Ana pamper yourself and loved ones!) I love the mango or lavender scrub pedicure ($45 I think) come with hot stone massage, it's quite lovely! This time I went there it was just for a "fill." I haven't had acrylics on in a few years and got an Ombré (white to pink). Wasn't sure how to fill it and lucky for me, I got Danny. He told me what my options were, I told him what I wanted as well as what I didn't like about my nails now. He listened. I really loved my experience at Polished. Employees are very relaxed and kind. My favorite nail technician there is "Thai". She takes her time and is very thorough to make sure you have the best manicure. The owner is very sweet. Very big Spa, and open layout. This was my first time to this nail salon. A friend recommended it as a little gem on Trancas. I called at 11am to make an appointment for the same day. The man on the phone was very nice and was able to fit me in for a full set at 11:45am. With it being a Saturday, I was expecting it to be very busy. When I arrived, I was pleasantly greeted and was helped immediately even though I was a few minutes early. My nail tech technician did not provide her name but she was friendly. I showed her a picture of the design I had in mind and she said she could do it. She replicated it beautifully. I am very happy with the way my nails turned out. The only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because I was not asked if I wanted regular acrylic or gel and I was a little surprised at the end price. This was not my favorite nail salon experience. I wanted to try something new and went with a red dip powder. First the drill she used caught my cuticles a few times which didn't feel too great. Then the application for the dip powder is kind of a mess. I had red powder down to my knuckles even after washing my hands. She also left dried product all around on my fingers- sloppy clean up. Finally, my nails hurt - almost how they hurt when you get acrylics put on. The dip powder is hard and thick once dried. Hopefully these last as long as they claim (3 weeks) but I'm not sure I will be back. read more
