Best discount theater I've been to. You can tell the owner has a true passion for movies and for keeping that culture alive. The popcorn is delicious and freshly popped, and the whole experience makes you feel fully immersed in the magic of going to the movies.

Me and my husband have been wanting to check out this theater for some time. It is definitely unique, from the many collectibles to video games in the front. Love the idea of being able to catch an "older" movie for $3.50. Snacks are decently priced too. I was able to get the Pollack combo for less than $12. It included a hot dog, drink and medium popcorn. The theater was kept clean. I wish the chairs reclined all the way back, but it was nice that they did have a little rock in them. Definitely a great option for the kiddos.

My girlfriend told me about this theater. We came here to see Fly Me to the Moon earlier this afternoon. Seats were super comfortable, concessions more affordable than AMC or Harkins and the staff were very friendly. So cool to see all of the statues and memorabilia

My only regret was not knowing about this movie theater sooner. I love this place! They play movies that are not in chain theaters. They play old movies here. Last week I watched Disney's "The Princess and the Frog" and I enjoyed my experience here. The concession stand was highly affordable and you get a bang for your buck here. The prices are super cheap and the atmosphere is so interactive that I was browsing around for 30 minutes after my movie done. I highly recommended coming here to beat the Arizona heat. Great place for the kids

Only downside is the prices - the food is good but overpriced (but not more than the standard movie theater upcharge!). This franchise replaced the Alamo Drafthouse and patron etiquette has been subpar ever since. Alamo had a very easy and firm system that ensured patrons were getting the value of their ticket. Each trip to a dine in theatre is around $50 for me and my friends each. I expect to not have my movie interrupted by shitty guests who cannot follow theatre etiquette at all. I just saw The Backrooms with a friend and had a woman next to us who kept giving commentary after everything that happened in the movie. Then at one point turned on her phone flashlight at full brightness to seemingly look for something but kept it on for nearly 3 full minutes and kept shining directly in our faces. Turned toward her to gesture that it was disruptive and she just stared at us. I went mid movie to the front desk yo file a complaint about it and they said because their menu is a QR code on the table top that they can't do anything about the excessive flashlight use. And that for the talking they would let a manager know. Then offered us to move seats mid movie. What a horrible response to a situation where they should've had an employee ask her to stop talking or be ejected from the theatre. Alamo had the perfect system, physical menus and paper cards for ordering food. A very clear and strict PSA before the feature explaining the expectations and etiquette rules and a discrete and non-disruptive system for complaining about noisy patrons on the paper cards. This is why people do not go to the theaters anymore. I would've enjoyed the movie more if I didn't have some inconsiderate fuck in my ear the whole time during a very quiet and atmospheric horror movie, breaking the immersion. I love going to the movies and for midnight showings or re-releases of cult classics, I absolute let expect and welcome some chatter and disruptive reactions. But this is not the first time this has happened at this theatre and I frankly would've been better off streaming this movie at home if I wanted to enjoy it. Please for the love of god, do better so that you can continue to make movie theaters an enjoyable destination for patrons.

The signs were mildly confusing so we landed on the wrong screen at first which. Luckily that was an easy correction. You just gotta know by the audio not matching the images. I liked the idea of tuning into an FM station for audio and being able to talk, or even be in a more private space to see the film. It was hard to see the darker scenes though, given some light pollution on nearby areas. That's to be expected for projectors anyways. I would love to be able to do this again soon.

One thing I really liked is that the IMAX theater is separate from the regular theaters and has its own dedicated area, including concession stands and bathrooms. It makes the experience feel a little more premium and less crowded. Concessions are priced exactly how you'd expect at a movie theater, but the food was actually pretty solid. We ordered the chicken tenders combo along with popcorn and a drink. If you order a combo meal, you place the order at the counter and then wait in a separate pickup area where they bring the food out to you. The tenders came out piping hot and the fries were crispy. They also have extra butter dispensers if you want more, which I always do. The IMAX screen is HUGE and the sound system was excellent. Honestly, there really doesn't seem to be a bad seat in the house. We sat in G21/G22, which looked close to center on the seating chart, and the view was fantastic. Nice bonus that there's also an elevator available for guests who need accessible access to the upper seating areas. The only reason this isn't a 5-star review is the seating. The seats were standard theater seats that rocked slightly. They were comfortable enough, but reclining seats with tray tables would have made the experience much better, especially since any food you order basically has to be eaten from your lap. One small touch that stood out: before the movie started, a staff member made a live announcement reminding everyone to silence and put away their phones. Most theaters just play a prerecorded message now, so that felt surprisingly personal and appreciated. Overall, a really enjoyable IMAX experience and definitely worth checking out for big blockbuster movies.

The symptoms have been bad enough that we are scheduling a visit with our primary care doctor. We hope management looks into the freshness and safety of the popcorn and butter stations.

This location has a full bar in the lobby with many regional beers on tap. You can also order food while in the theater and the friendly servers will bring it to the table between each pair of seats! Wednesdays they have a $5 menu for popcorn, pretzels and more. This is one of few places I can eat popcorn without any digestion issues...not something I can say at the larger rival theaters! The theaters are clean and spacious. While the chairs don't have automated controls to recline, they are large, comfortable and spaced apart so you're not rubbing elbows with the stranger next you. They have a lot of quirky and nostalgic advertisements and videos to watch before the movie starts. You may enjoy these more than your feature film! A few drawbacks are 1) the theaters are smaller than most...so if you're looking to watch a hot new release it may be hard to find seats during prime time. 2) Given the smaller theater, the screen is also on the smaller size. 3) As they deliver food during the movies, you may have workers walking by you often depending your seat choice. Their system isn't foolproof as I had them deliver me food for other people and watch my food go to other people. The seats were comfortable, and overall the theater experience was really enjoyable. My only complaint is that I wish the armrests were removable because they take up quite a bit of space with not much space to set purses. I did grab a glass of wine at the bar, and the pricing caught me off guard--$20 for a 5 oz pour of Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc. Since a full bottle was $50, a friend and I split one for $25 each, which was definitely the better deal. Still, $20 for a small pour is more than what a full bottle costs at the grocery store. This use to be one of my favorite theaters because of the service and value. But now, the value is gone and the service is REALLY gone. They have no one working here except for a couple of guys handing you your cups and popcorn. There is almost zero human interaction and to be completely honest, it sucks. Then when you get into the theater they are scrolling commercial after commercial, which is fine, because I'm early and it's not even time for the movie to start. But then the previews start and they have a couple, THEN A COMMERCIAL, then they have a few, THEN A COMMERCIAL, and so on. Again, it would be fine except they advertise the movie to start at 8:00 but it doesn't ACTUALLY start until about 8:30 and that might not be something you plan for? Anyway, the seating is ok. Like they are individual but every two has a movable divider in case you're there with a date and want to sit close. They are comfortable enough I guess but they did seem a little worn. Now for the pricing, the ticket prices are out of control here which is probably why there's so few people in the seats (I would say 10% full) and the concessions? C'mon now, this is probably why they can afford to have mostly empty theaters, because the profit margin on these things HAS to be about 1000% and that's not even an exaggeration. $10 for a medium popcorn for example is just stupid. Anyway, at least I enjoyed the movie because WOW, had that been bad, I would feel like I just threw $65 in the trash after buying two tickets, two medium drinks, and one medium popcorn. They aren't MUCH better but I think I'll stick to Harkins since they originally are a local company, have better prices, and still DO have some human interaction.
