I've eaten here three times. Twice I've ordered the Winner Winner Chicken Dinner, which is a quarter bird and their radicchio salad. The third time? A whole damn bird and full-sized radicchio salad. I may be in a rut, but it's the most delicious rut that I can imagine. These birds are legit! The chicken is juicy and flavorful as all hell, and when you get the whole bird they cut it up for you into manageable pieces. They offer up a number of side sauces, and while all have been good, I tend to forget about them and just go straight for the meat. This is a feast that I can feel good about eating. read more

Very good especially for the value. Ordered a quarter chicken and the home made chips. The roasted chicken was cooked to perfection with perfectly roasted skin and juicy chicken. The homemade chips were even better. The right amount of crunchy and salt and the dipping sauce was wonderfully spicy if you like a little heat. The service was fast and friendly. After stuffing my face at the Saturday Market...... well I was looking to stuff my face some more, but not too much. I could only eat at one spot in the new market area. I went with Pollo Bravo and was so happy I did. I usually start with my food or drink, but I want to start with my server. A young kid who recently graduated from college. I think he said he went to Oregon, but I could be wrong. We talked about how he worked photography during game days. He was super helpful and very friendly. They had beers and some cocktails here. I snagged one of each. The cocktail was fantastic. The beer was good. As I mentioned in my previous room it's cool to see an eatery like this that serves well made cocktails as well. That's not why you come here though. You come here for the Bocadillo de Lomo, which is rotisserie pork loin, griddled manchego, caramelized onion, and romesco. It's pork loin is stewed in chicken broth for over 24 hours! That bad boy was fantastic. Also got an order of cod fritters which were light and delectable. Everything hit the spot. I am so glad we found this place for lunch. It's a perfect place to get a little taste of Tapas. Especially its food court like setting feels as authentic as can be to Spanish tapas bars. Although roasted chicken seems to be the most popular dish here, tapas were quite tasty along with delicious 1/2 chicken with special sauces. Mixed olives were great without being overly salty, went well with baguette. Pimientos de Padrón were so yummy with just right touch of sea salt, we were momentarily back in Madrid. Croquetas were also amazing just like the ones we had in Spain. To compliment all these great food, Estrella was just a perfect choice of beer. We will definitely come back to try other tapas and vermouth/ sangria. read more

Forgive me if I gush over these folks just a bit... Sat at the bar, experienced some of THE best service in Portland, enjoyed a Pisco Pimms Punch while I anticipated my small plates to arrive. Asparagus a la Plancha, perfectly grilled asparagus in the best romesco sauce. Ever. Trust me on this. Yes I know chicken is the name of the game here, I opted for a lovely little pork sandwich, as suggested by the server. Yum. The staff are always welcoming and friendly, even when it's super busy, and they hustle to get things out to you quickly. The food didn't disappoint. I had the 1/2 chicken plus a draft beer. The chicken was really (really) good. Moist, flavorful and a large portion. The side sauce I got was the garlic aioli. My diet changes all the time, but this is my favorite place, and has been my favorite place (the only place I want to eat) for several months. I always order the chicken which is phenomenal. I've had a lot of different rotisserie chicken, and by far (you can taste the difference and the texture in your mouth is completely different) Pollo Bravo (Mary's farm chicken) is the best. They make it the same way every time, and it's amazing. I've only ordered to my house and never been to the actual restaurant but I have no complaints. OTHER THAN recently (which is why I have given 4 instead of 5 stars) they have been giving me A LOT less food (portion size), I guess they know I'll still order from them. The salad is awesome, the olives are good and the cauliflower is sooooo good. Still, despite the new portion control, I love them. read more

This is a quick review because I only tried two things. Their marinated roast chicken is excellent - juicy and succulent, it comes with a choice of sauces. Go for the smoked pepper sauce - it's really smoky, not too spicy, and with some acidity; it's really tasty with the bird. I found their Romesco sauce to be too heavy for my taste. I also tried the potatas bravas which really came off like a riff on french fries - disappointing. read more
