I tried to order from here several times since this last time and each time was bad, but this last time was the worst, we actually got someone else's order, and believe me it was the last time we order from Pollo Compero. We always order the same thing 2 grilled family dinners which cost over $100, and they can't seem to get it right. Maybe because they are not used to such a large order or maybe because they are not used to making grilled chicken, it is clearly on their menu, and when it's good, it's the best! We used to order at least once a week, and it is enough for a few days, but between it not being so fresh anymore and this last time we got someone else's order, I'll be saying good bye to Pollo Compero! read more

This place was great. I had the baked chicken which is more like a rotisserie. I had beans and rice with it. The food was great. The fast food restaurant of Latin America was definitely worth the try. I can't wait to try the one in Lawrence since it is closer to me. read more

I pass this place all the time so I decide to give it a try. The customer service is great. I'm not into eating friend chicken from fast food places but they had empanadas that are made with white meat. The empanadas taste SOOOOO GOOD! The Campero Beans were delicious and flavorfull. The only concern I had was their black beans. The black beans was watery and did not have any flavor. The pico de gallo (from the salsa bar) need a little more cliantro and ripe tomatoes. read more

This is my favorite chicken place. I also like the empanada s their cooked fresh for u. The place is always clean when i come here especially the restrooms this says a lot about this place. I give this one star not because of the taste or price of the food but because of cleanliness and the sanitary conditions and I have experienced and witnessed. Years ago before this location was remodeled we purchased a take out meal that included a container of rice. We did not intend to eat it immediately and instead placed it in our refrigerator as soon as we got home. Next day, when I took it out, I saw a hole at the bottom of the container that could only have been caused by a rodent. I did not take it back because it was the next day and I did not think I would be believed. However, we never ate there again. Fast forward to 2022 we decided to give them another chance. As we stood there waiting for our order, we were watching the lady sweep up the surrounding area. To make a long story short, she literally swept all the dust and dirt into the area behind the counter where the servers were preparing the food right next to the shelves where the little rolls were stored. The dust and dirt was left there where it slowly spread as the workers moved around the area. I don't know if this is their idea of cleanliness as no one else around us seemed to notice or care. Never again will I eat there. I have found another location where we go now. read more

We went there on Tuesday it was 90 degrees they had no air conditioning! We try to order 12 pcs but they told us there was no breasts and thighs and the waiting time was 30 minutes! Horrible place will not be going back ever! read more

The restaurant looked clean. There were families eating homestyle meals. I tried the citrus grilled 2 piece chicken. I was given a wing and a breast. It was the best chicken I have ever eaten. Very flavorful and so moist. I will definately be returning for another great meal. read more

I absolutely adore this location, actually is the only one I've been to and likely the only one I would ever go to. They are clean, friendly, and the food is always fresh. The chicken is delicious and so are the sides, there's a little unlimited salsa bar with different types of salsa that work well to enhance the food. CLUCK YEAH! I love this place. Some of the best Latin Chicken you can find on the island. It's the fast food version of Pollo El Paisa. After my first visit I was impressed with this place. Food was hot and fresh. Staff were very nice! How many other fast food spots do you find the employees coming up to you while your eatting and politely asking if everything is ok? None. Better than kfc (crispy) chiken pieces. The seasonings on the chicken was just right not as salty at kfc, and plantains were great. It says Mexican dishes but it's more like Central American-Salvadorian thing. read more

Food is great it's like a Spanish style KFC. The chicken is completely delicious as well as the sides which is rice and beans and not mash potato or fries. Food taste more natural like if it was cooked at home unlike KFC or Popeye's as their food taste processed like most fast-food taste. read more

Enter the establishment and there was no one on line, the manager behind the counter look at me and instead of asking to take my order walked way. A few minutes later a young lady took my order. I waited another five minutes for my order as I watched the person who came in after me being served by the same manager and was out the door before me. Another five minutes later I am still waiting for my order , as people are coming in order and out the door. The manger again is assisting other customers , looks like he is ignoring me, then the young lady gives me my order but it was missing a piece of chicken. Well...firstly the chicken doesn't taste that bad. I was expecting it to taste a 'lil better(like that flavor back in El Salvador) I just got out from there and thanks God is not a restaurant where you expect the waiter/waitress to serve your food; 'cuz the attitude that one of the ladies show me today was a nightmare. I immediately wanted to respond/say something back but, I tried to calm my self and try to get my appetite back 'cuz it was gone. obviously is not her fault, it's the manger's fault for hiring that kind of people. The chicken is always on point and delicious. Sometimes some of the staff has issues. One time I made an order and did not even get what I ordered. The person who said they were the manager at the time said it was my own fault and said insinuated that I lied about what I ordered. Didn't even take the food and got my money back. Good fried chicken. I only eat the french fries as a side which are good so I can't tell you about the other sides. I wish they had more cashiers at night instead of one which makes for long lines.
