Overall clean, & friendly service! The food was pretty good, but tough to match up with competition Background on the restaurant -This fried chicken restaurant originates from Guatemala! Pollo Campero is a staple in the culture there and THE go-to fast food chain there. TATSE wise is it a slight difference front Guatemala to USA pollo Campero as they have slightly different methods Service: 4/5 -They are friendly and helpful!! They greet you with smile on their face Ambiance 3/5 - This is a fast food establishment, it's pretty standard. A cool thing if you dine they serve you on reusable plates so it's good for the environment. Food 3.5/5 -We got the chicken sandwich. It's good, but doesn't beat out places like Popeyes or chick fil a Overall worth trying out as they have flavors and items (black beans and plantains) which are true to Guatemalan culture.

First Pollo Campero location in Victorville! Happy to have them join us in the high desert. They were getting ready to close soon for the evening. My eldest daughter and I quickly went through the drive-thru. Drive-thru staff was okay. We ordered two $10 meals each came with 3 pieces of fried chicken, regular fries, and drink plus an order of family size yucca fries. It would have been nice if we could have substituted the regular fries with yucca fries. Oh well. Fried chicken batter was a tad salty IMHO. Outside skin was overly fried. Chicken meat was moist though. Drumstick was on the smaller side. Thigh size was decent. Fries were good. Yucca fries were great. Mango and Jamaica agua frescas were delightful. Would we be back? Yes, we would since it's the only Pollo Campero up the hill. Otherwise, we would need to get them down the hill. Thanks Pollo Campero for your presence in the high desert!

I was excited to try this place due to finding out it originated in Guatemala. I stopped by last night and was very much underwhelmed. The empanadas were disgusting and tasted like a horrific chicken pot pie. I do not understand why they place their fries in the container they come in because it makes the fries extremely soggy. The chicken was actually good but I will say if you have high blood pressure, avoid. It's extremely salty and can be overwhelming if you're not an individual who enjoys salty food. Lastly, the horchata. I am so confused as to how anyone could think that was okay to serve? Tasted like Cinnamon Toast Crunch that had been soaked in water for many days. Yuck! The person at the drive thru window didn't put any condiments in the bag when they were asked to. I can say I will not be back and I am beyond disappointed. This place could have so much potential too, how sad

Today the person that took our order didn't care about our complaints, she literally pretended not to hear us. We wanted to get larger pieces of chicken and said we were willing to pay extra but we were told that was not an option. Every time we get the chicken mix we get microscopic meatless wings. We already pay more here than pollo loco and pollo loco gives tortillas and delicious salsas. Also every time we've come something has been missing or not worth having. Today we got mostly juice in our cup of beans. Other times our buns were missing. Once we were even shorted a chicken piece. No comment on the inside dining as we have not been inside.

Best fried chicken in town!!!! Fast service in a brand new building. Popeyes and KFC had nothing on this chicken

3 pc meal and gol box.

Great customer service. First timers and Zuleyma M. recommended us a yummy meal! Very content with how clean the restaurant is and how good the food was. The bathroom was baby friendly with a clean changing table. Something new was definitely needed up here!

I have been to the Pollo Campero in Vegas, Los Angeles & San Bernardino, they Chicken have always been fresh, hot, delicious. I went to the new one in my city and I must be honest. Customer Service was on point the Chicken not so much. I think they're cooking too much and putting it in the warmer that's making it not good at all. I had to change it two times the (first: over cooked & cold, second: cold & soggy on half of my thigh, the breading was not fully cooked). That comes from putting to much in the fryer and not shaking it. The ladies were very helpful, but at this point I was very unsatisfied and disappointed. I packed it up brought it home that was Monday Feb 9th today is Feb 11th. I really wish they wouldn't cook so much chicken so they don't have to keep it in the warmer. That takes the crunchy away makes it soggy and not fresh hot. I know it's new and upcoming, but they need to work on it being better. They need to pull some workers from other stores that have been working there for years to train them to let them know how much chicken to cook and how much not to cook. I know all this because I've worked at Stater Brothers for 10 years and in the deli for eight years. We fry chicken all day every day and we don't keep it in the warmer unless an order pick up is running late that's when we put it in the warmer. Because it definitely makes it soggy. I love the chicken but, when I go to this Campero I'm going to order fresh and wait for it. They need those heat warmers. Why yall don't have those? The 2 pictures is what this place needs.

Hands down best taquitos in the high desert!…read more Staff always seem happy and the atmosphere is inviting. Up to date and clean. The chicken is moist and delicious, literally flavored to the bone. The elite bowl and bros bowls are great alternative to chicken, rice and beans alone. The regular salsa is so good and a great addition to all the meals. The green salsa has a kick but is flavorful and the red salsa is fire. Rice here is perfect every time. The bean are a good compliment to them and the potato salad is good, the beat I've ever had. I've also had them cater a party with 6 chicken and sides that a was a hit. And the ease of not cooking was priceless for us. This place knocks it out of the park!

That's exactly why it's disappointing to say that over the last year or so, I've noticed a decline in consistency, especially as the prices have continued to increase. The biggest issue is that ordering the chicken has become a bit of a gamble. On a good day, it's incredibly flavorful, juicy, and exactly what keeps me coming back. Unfortunately, there have been just as many visits where the chicken has been dry, overcooked, and lacking quality. The sides are another highlight when they're fresh! They're full of flavor and pair perfectly with the meal. But, much like the chicken, consistency seems to be the challenge. Sometimes everything tastes like it was just made, while other times it feels like it's been sitting for a while. I understand that every restaurant has off days, but when prices continue to climb, customers naturally expect the quality to remain consistent. I know what this restaurant is capable of because I've experienced it at its best for years, and that's why I'm hopeful they'll get back to the quality that made me a regular in the first place. I'll continue stopping by because I know how great the food can be. I just hope they can bring back the consistency that made this place stand out.

The interior is small but clean, with a few barstools at a window counter. Most people take their food to go, so the limited seating is usually used by people waiting not people staying. No restroom, but they are in a larger plaza with a few other places with restrooms. On that note, parking is no problem. It stays pretty laid back and quiet; they usually have kpop videos playing on the TV. Other than the main focus on fried chicken, they do offer a variety of other foods, including tteokbokki, dumplings, and rice bowls. The different seasonings they offer for their chicken wings are all delicious - try the bulgogi soy sauce if you want a savory flavor and the honey butter if you want a sweeter flavor. One thing they've mastered is keeping their chicken CRISPY. They have a few different drink options. You can grab some shelf-stable Asian snacks if you visit in store. Prices are fair for the quality of food you get.

Food was delicious and fresh. After a long day out we decided to eat here again and try the HOLY CLUCK TENDERS. Ughh just Ughhhh As much as we wanted to LOVE this place I have to say how disappointed we are and won't be going again. Our order: 3 piece Holy Cluck Tenders Mac and cheese Tater tots. Holy Cluck mozzarella sticks Coke Zero Kudos for the Coke Zero! Tater tots were okay Mac and cheese was delicious and better than the first visit. Seemed more fresh than what we got later in the evening the first time. Here's where our meal went downhill. Mozzarella Sticks were completely dusted with white sugar! It tasted and looked more like a churro than anything savory. So much so it was inedible. After picking one up, our fingers were covered in the sugar, dipped it into the marinara sauce thinking it would help but was equally awful. If your thing is having fried cheese for dessert, more power to you. Now the spicy tenders... More churro sugar covered the chicken. Took a bite and felt like I was chewing sand. The sugar coating was thick, sweet and gritty. So disappointed. Dessert chicken isn't our thing. Chicken and cheese sticks went straight to the trash. The Hawaiian rolls were delicious! We won't be going back.

Lot is shared with other businesses. Walked in to a big open and friendly space. Tables were clean and busted. They have one cute table called The Hot Seat. They were still getting customers near closing time which is a good sign. First time here so didn't know what they served. They are known for Nashville hot chicken, crispy tenders, loaded fries, other sides, and drinks. Very simple menu with chicken sliders, chicken tenders over toast or rice, and bowls with the same. Heat levels are bold and fiery from Country (no heat), Mild (light spice), Medium (perfect heat), Hot (feel the burn), X-Hot (call 911), to Angry (sign a waiver). I asked the nice and friendly young lady for her recommendation. She prefers the chicken tenders over toast. Since it was my first visit, she suggested I try one slider and one tender to see what I like most. That's what I got with mild spice. Thank you Miss! Wow, chicken tenderz were huge! So very moist and tender! It was covered with a good layer of spice (paprika, garlic powder, salt, and cayenne blends) that was amazing in taste and flavor. Sauce was delicious. Mild spice was perfect for me! What's the verdict? Slider or toast. Toast all the way. Slider got soggy due to the coleslaw. Don't get me wrong. Coleslaw was delicious, but bread got wet because of it. It's best to ask for the coleslaw to be on the side. Chicken tender and toast were very tasty at every bite. Well done! I replaced the fries with mac n cheese. Mac n cheese was just okay. Nothing spectacular. I should have kept the fries. I'll have to try the fries next time. So happy to have tried Angry Chickz. I'll sure to be back to try their chicken tenders over rice and various bowl options. If you're a chicken connoisseur spicy or not, Angry Chickz is the place for you! Come give them a try!
